    He's not speaking to or for Black people. He's shuffling and dancing for his masters, wanting them to know that he's a good boy. He's also counting on anyone who hears him not knowing enough to know that he's lying. Byron means us no good. If he did, he'd be legislating and speaking on behalf of Black families not talking against them. I am reiterating what Prof. Hunter said - don't let this kind of vile ignorance slide. During the 60s when women gained rights. Marriage rates, across-the-board declined because women could make lives for themselves without having to tether themselves to a husband.
      He’s trying to say that LBJ’s Democrats policies caused the destruction of marriage. Those policies only help Black people. They also helped rural poor white people.

    _"I did not say Jim Crow was better..."_ I just proposed, and repeatedly emphasized, that the black family did best under its jurisdiction. The clearest example of "difference" without a distinction. We've seen this type actor before, a cynical opportunist who feigns concern about a community of people he actually subverts for position and pecuniary benefit. What's particularly insidious in Donalds' case is that he's from the caribbean and has no familial linkage to the 100+ year oppressive reign of Jim Crow.... and that's apart from his "mixed" marriage and contrived concern about black family welfare. His confidence game is of the short variety. When his masters decide he's outlived his utility he will find himself in the heap of discarded useful idjits who've lost their person and community.

  • @bobyoung3857

    The idea about black people being fundamentally conservative has to be analyzed a little deeper. We can say every culture or people are conservative. It means something different to every group. If we as black people were in power and the country was shaped to our liking, I think more of us would be conservative and maybe the white conservatives would be progressive. The reason they are conservative is because the meaning of the word to them reflects their so called traditions which are stagnant to us, thus making us more progressive, calling for improvement in conditions.

    • @phillylady
      @phillylady 20 днів тому +2

      How is a conservative defined in the United States? Conservatism in the United States historically has its roots in biblical teachings, or misrepresentations, which have or are used to create ideologies that discriminate based on race, sex, and/or sexuality. The enslavers for example were considered good Christian conservatives who were simply fighting to protect their property; property in this case being enslaved human beings. The KKK was founded based on Christian conservatism… I believe African Americans have historically been hurt by American Conservatism, thus I do not believe we’re conservative in the way Conservative is defined in the United States.
