No insurance covers 'intentional damage'. Intentional being: You chose to drive through the flood instead of seeking other routes. This includes GAP insurance! Now if you suffer engine damage via driving in the up-coming storm this week, then that's covered.
Road closed and they still keep going so good luck with your insurance claims. Insurers will use any excuse to not pay out and these drivers are the gift that keeps on giving.
Insurer won't pay out if you wilfully drive your car through a flood check your policy fine print. Insurers only pay out if the vehicle is flooded and parked eg the river next to your home burst its banks making the car a flood damaged un-salvageable right off. Many people think their insurance will cover this it won't unless you have a really top notch policy that covers every eventuality no questions asked there used to be an insurer in the 90's called Mondial that covered this type of arse-holery but those says are long gone, fck your car up and you pay the price for your Fck up yourself, insurers are not stupid these day's and modern cars with GPS devices ( Sat Navs & emergency SOS services) which are the majority now can be tapped into to show the location of where your cars ECU gave up with the Coordinates time and date, once the insurance assessor plugs his little do-dah into the OBD2 port on your car all that info can be downloaded at the touch of a button, so lying won't work when you make a claim.
That’s because trucks are designed for roads and don’t work well on mud.. glhorses however aren’t designed for paved roads and work well on mud. Maybe they should both stick to what they know.
I used to cycle down in Worcester, Gloucester and Herefordshire and often have to ride through floods, the rule was that the tallest rider in the group went through first😂 .. Riding across Longdon Marsh one Sunday through a flood one guy ended up in a 8ft deep ditch , we didn't laugh... of course.
Я посмотрел небольшой отрезок эволюции этого места. Сначала топили автомобили. Потом место закрыли. Потом откачали воду. Потом дорогу открыли. Это как-будто фильм с интересным сюжетом
5:23 mudguards, overshoes, sticking to the crown of the road where it's not as deep and the correct 'stomping' technique on the pedals to avoid the bottom of the stroke. Perfect. Although I'd advise against it. You still get wet feet, which get cold very quickly, and the bearings in the wheel axles, pedals and the bottom bracket will likely be wrecked after that.
Yep, and you need to completely clean transmission very quickly too... Chain rusts overnight. I'd say definitely not worth the hassle having had to do it!
@@grahamwishart4832 yep, as crazy as it sounds, if I had to do it now I would take off shoes and socks, clip shoes to pedals and socks in jersey pocket, roll up tights and wade through carrying the bike over my shoulder. I've cycled through water as deep as that in the past and can confirm I shortly required new bearings.
0 54 The bloke in the land rover with a temper like that is pretty scary, would hate to think what his partner/ wife has to put up with ! Perhaps he was an 'only' child? Gaz Yorkshire.
As much as I enjoy watching these videos, what they reveal about the general mentality of these drivers is extremely depressing, if not downright scary. I drive as little as possible these days.
No,engines are certainly not cheap here! These are just stupid people who think, because they spend a lot of money every year just to be able to use a car, that it must be able to go anywhere.
Insurance companies share info about floods and closed roads in each postcode area, they also have access (as we do also) to these videos which are for all to see. If you put an insurance claim in, they can see all the idiots in their cars, vans and lorries driving at speed into the water. Hence no pay -outs.
When you consider once even a small amount of water gets in the exhaust your car is toast unless your driving a Land Rover or similar you have zero chance of not ruining your car. Unfortunately is because of people like these who clearly have zero common sense that our insurance costs are at record highs.
That's not true. As demonstrated here you have quite a high chance of not ruining your car. And it's water in the intake that usually kills them, not water in the exhaust (although it's true that that can do it too).
This is a classic example of nuisance flooding caused by incompetant bad engineering that could be easily eliminated by filling in the hollow so the water cannot accumulate here. Why this was not removed immediately is an act of negligence by the authorities as it would have prevented a lot of trouble including the damage to the horsebox caused by burning the ground in the mud which is totally unacceptable & out of order.

Let's not beat about the bush, this just shows how thick some people really are!
Oh look a road closed sign , deep water & stranded vehicles… think I’ll join in 😂
I like the two "mountain goats" clinging on to hedge to try and avoid getting their feet wet.
All have clearly driven through “road closed” signs so no insurance will cover any damage or losses

Looks to be only closed in one direction. I think we can let the farmer off :D
@ no. Signs visible in views from each end. Also, farmer unlikely to be claiming on his insurance…..
Not to mention the car abandoned in the water is a red flag lol
Where do people get this bullshit from?
Road closed and they still keep going so good luck with your insurance claims. Insurers will use any excuse to not pay out and these drivers are the gift that keeps on giving.
There is no car insurance that will pay for this kind of stupidity

Someone should create a website with a list of these number plates. So we can all avoid buying these cars in the future.
What part of "Road closed" do they NOT understand!
Much easier to turn around and find an alternative route than to buy a new engine for your car.
and the alternative route is probably only a few miles and going around the cones churning up the grass verges
But not as much fun :-)
When the horse you’re carrying can do a better job than the transporter you’re carrying it in 😂

Amazing that they've got machines that can scoop up the water like that 😮
Learner being taught in a new focus to ignore road closed signs and drive through water. Hydrolocked engine in his future im sure 😂
That Volvo became the speedbump of the ford.
Probably just revenge for Ford buying Volvo 😂
@5.13 "Cheers mate" says he who put himself in that predicament.
Can't believe so many people can not drive properly 🙈🙈
This is down the road from me, I turned around when I got to it. Floods all the time here.
4 30 The VW driver, he drove wisely.

Well he did tackle deep water correctly. However the 'wiser ' thing was not risk it, turn and go the long way .
What's the MAMIL doing 😮😂
When the first one stopped abruptly, having found a hole, it made me chuckle.
What the hell do modern driving instructors teach people these days-their cars can also be used for boating?
Boating and submarining😆😆.

I’d only ride through, even on my fixed gear, if someone else was cleaning it afterwards. Life is too short for cleanings,
There all new cars aswell ,,,,if i was in insurance i wouldn't pay out a penny ,😮
Zen and the art of covering your car air intake.
If the authorities could just suck the water up, it makes me wonder why they didn't do it sooner!?
Money, costs a lot to hire one of those things. Probably hoping the water would just soak away into the ground

The original mini had the distributor cap on the front of the engine right behind the grill.
Nothing has changed !
That cyclist actually tried to stand on the water!!!
That flood is part rain and part tears of dismay from the victims of engine ignorance
The question is did the volvo ever get recovered 😂
People are so stupid, that these cars could end up written off by the insurance companies.
As much as I enjoy watching these videos, what they reveal about the general mentality of these drivers is extremely depressing, if not downright scary. I drive as little as possible these days.
Isn't contravening a ""Road Closed" sign an offence?

Are new engines so cheap in England?
Or why are they all risking the cars?

It's a Brexit thing ? They think there is sunny uplands other side . Risk ?what risk .
Concrete bollards to properly close the road?
Cost to much and you know the council would leave them there for months lol

This volvo SUV wielded to the road or what? Why no one tow car away to side of the road?
Wonder if orange Mini man will also be getting prosecuted for using his mobile too?
If only they had gone slower lol.
