How embarrassing for the Range Rover guy at 1.09 . . . . . obviously knew his motor and obviously took it over the limit . Did he get it running or was it a tow job , shame we couldn't see the whole clip ?
He believes he knows but I don't think he actually does. When questioned he said it depends where the ECU is. Even when the other guy asked about his air intake he dismissed it when that should have been the first thing to check.
@@reeced5521 Ok , you got into the detail , i must admit to not listening that closely , merely seeing he seemed quite at home with his vehicle . . . He should of known where that air-intake was before he even hit the water , very important detail when dealing with water levels .
@@reeced5521He does actually know. He is right about the ECU getting wet. Discovery 2 TD5 has the ECU behind the headlight, and is prone to giving up when getting wet. You can buy loom extension kits to relocate the ECU to stop this problem, which he did mention, but also as he said in the video, they are expensive. If he didn’t splash so hard it would have been fine.
No, you should not drive through a flooded road; it is generally considered very unsafe and can cause significant damage to your car, even if the water appears shallow, as it can easily stall your engine or even sweep your vehicle away if the current is strong; always try to find an alternative route when encountering flooded roads. Key reasons to avoid driving through flooded roads: Engine damage: Water can easily enter your car's air intake, causing the engine to stall or even suffer serious damage.
After seeing these, checked where the air intake is on my car. There is not much room for error being located where it is. I think for sake a diversion around a flood, and saving ££££, I will divert.

You don't need to be Dim to drive into deep water, but it does help. 😂🤣

#3:13 let md think does tge trailer need a quick wash. yes😂😂
4:43 That Fiesta would've made it through there if the driver had gone slower. The air intake is just above the top grille on the passenger side.
Hero to zero in 2 seconds 😂
"The ECU got wet" aka ive got water in the engine
People not clear on the concept of hydrolock. Blasting through water is fun--once.

Why didnt the Land rover drive forward just a smudging so it was out the water lol
Its frightening that these fluckwits really do walk, drive and paddle amongst us. Be aware!
Conclusion: You can't drive fast enough through (deep) water. 😁
with water in the cylinders, your oil is leaving your engine by the exhaust!

Some very expensive engine sounds!!
3:50 damn. I can smell that clutch. Leave car towing to tractors and tow trucks. Unless you want to destroy clutch and transmission.
its funny to see, how people trying to wet their car roofs and wonder why the car stops!
