React to these Comedies: (Real Movie) The Ringer, Date Night, Big Stan, Netflix Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy, Netflix Jo Koy : Don't Make Him Angry, Starring Chris Evans Cellular
I'm just waiting for the 'Allegiant' reaction⌚️👀😘
War for the planet of the apes made me sad but I enjoyed it
Correction monkeys are small and have tails AND Apes a.k.a. primates don't have tails
I can't wait and hopefully watch you react to Kingdom of the planet of the apes (soft reboot & direct sequel to rise/dawn/war of the planet of the apes) when it comes out in dvd, clear footage in internet
Maurice spoke for the first time in dawn of the planet of the apes.
He said "run" to Malcolm and other humans after Koba deceive apes to believe humans kill ceaser
PLEASE React to these Action & Comedies or Both: Starring Chris Evans Cellular The Ringer, Date Night, Big Stan, Netflix Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy, Netflix Jo Koy: Don't Make Him Angry, and Fire Up
Rocket’s character progression is one of the best in this series. He went from being Caesar’s rival at the beginning of Rise to being fully prepared to die for him in this.
I thought after he fought Red, and the Colonel asked him if he was alone, he's look around at the all the caged apes, then at Caesar, and say, "I'm never alone." Then silence, and then Rocket would shout, "Apes together, stro---" and then the Colonel would shoot him before finishing.
@@kylewestlake982how did you assume that thorough of a scenario would commence?
@@PanfluteExpedition_ I just read the atmosphere.
Rocket/Terry Notary are so underrated.
@@Sharpe1502 Loved Notary as Cull Obsidian in Infinity War and Endgame
It's a bit ironic that a cgi ape called Caesar has told us more about humanity than any human in recent years.
In a deleted scene it has been said that the Colonel killed Malcolm from Dawn when he suggested to make peace with the apes, it’s pretty tragic 😢
Damn
that just makes this movie more depressing then it already is
I just searched this up.. and yes, this is confirmed 😢
Oh my god I didn't know that!! 😭😭😭
Well the fact that it’s deleted means it’s not canon. So that’s nice.
I dont think enough people recognize how biblical Caesar's death was. In the bible, Moses was given a punishment for disobeying God (long story). He was condemned to view the Promised Land but not enter it. He died viewing the land he fought so hard to bring his people to but never entering it. Caesar is much the same. He defied the ape code. He killed an ape. Not only that but he allowed hate and vengeance into his heart. He died seeing his people enter a land of safety and plenty but never entered it himself.
Was going to say the same thing. There is so much biblical context in this. Such as powerful movie.
I think some of his vengeance was justified. He spared the lives of those humans, sent them on horses. He showed mercy as an attempt for peace. And they spat in his face by killing his family.
@@larrygarcia6356 as justified as it is caesar still saw it as breaking the ape code and coming too close to being koba.
@@justarandomveryintelligent8934 the irony of the whole thing is that Caesar gets shot by one of the people he spared. You can’t deny that.
yes, this planet of the apes has many biblical allusions and was inspired by torah but as well as the new testament
Maurice does have a spoken line in Dawn too. When Koba shoots Caesar and the other apes are all in chaos, he turns to Malcom and his family and tells them to: "Run."
Yes! This is not the first time Maurice has spoken in the franchise
that scene with the Colonel telling Caesar about killing his own Son gives me goosebumps every time, i really can't wait for Kingdom to be released.
Bad Ape is probably one of my favorite characters in this series. Steve Zahn brings a perfect amount of levity and tragedy to the story and the character.
I genuinely don’t care what anybody says this is a great movie. You wanna talk about emotional, powerful, sad and epic. Andy Serkis in my personal opinion should’ve been nominated. I don’t think he should’ve won but his performance is incredible. One of the greatest trilogies in history. While it might not have won any Oscars it’s still almost perfect in my eyes.
Totally agree. It is one of the best trilogies of all time.
I’ve never heard any negativity for this movie, the trilogy is beloved
@@meswoopnoseenothing you would be surprised to hear that some people don’t like this movie
@@OrionInSpacesome people don't like the godfather, some people don't like shawshank redemption, just because some people don't like a movie doesn't mean it's not well received in general, nothing is agreed on by everyone
@@spunkymaniac9312 I know lol I was just making that point to what the guy above me said
In talking about Maurice one thing I think you've forgotten is that in Rise they established that he was a circus ape before he was put in the "sanctuary." Koba was NEVER in the Stryker & Malfoy Home For Wayward Apes, he was a lab ape who was moved between different labs.
Caesar->Maurice->Koba are almost like a spectrum of the experience of humanity, where Caesar spent all of his formative years only knowing nice humans, Maurice probably saw a fairly even mix of good and bad humans during his time in the circus (and this is probably where his soft spot for kids comes from), and Koba spent his whole life as an experimental subject and saw only the worst of humanity.
OMG. Didn't think about the soft spot for the kids because you know they'd be enthralled by such a creature... 😭😭😭😭
Your so right about Maurice having a soft spot for kids because of his time in the circus holy shit I never caught on to that
I knew Caesar was gonna die, it just felt like his end for this movie. I really hope he’s mentioned and not forgotten in the next one
I think he was turned into some sort of god deity in the original or am i confusing it with the previous remake?
From the “Inside the kingdom” video one of the apes says “For Caesar”. So after 3 or 400 years Caesar is still remembered and worshiped.
I mean he is their god pretty much. He created them in a way by making them smart@@marcussantos188
The main character is literally a descendant of caesar, even has the chest birthmark in the same spot. Of course Caesar will be mentioned
@@marcussantos188 the villain is named Proximus Caesar so that ape isn’t saying “in the name of God” or anything. Caesar is now a title for ape rulers. The ape’s development is meant to mirror human history. In this case it’s like how the emperors of the Roman Empire would take the title of Caesar because of Julius Caesar.
Maurice said “run” in the second movie when Koba shot Caesar. Love the channel❤️
I honestly put the Apes trilogy up there with Lord Of The Rings and the OG Star Wars trilogy as one of the greatest film trilogies ever made.
Don’t blame ya. Honestly if it were seen by more and didn’t have a stigma of being planet of the apes . It would be.
Oh definetly! This trilogy is amazing
I agree with that
This is my second favorite trilogy behind lord of the rings
@@Valihirsame
Caesar is one of the best movie characters of the 21st century.
Great conclusion for a trilogy. Caesar is the GOAT. He had a great and emotional arc.
Oh boy wait till you find out about the fourth coming out … kingdom of the planet of the apes
Nova's doll is what infected the Colonel with the human sickness. Nice little detail.
I was skeptical of this channel inviting others on to react but I gotta says it’s been awesome seeing different dynamics between Aaron, Andrew, Roxy and and Tara and anyone else I’ve missed
the frieza pop in on “monkey killer” is just so perfect
The ending made everyone in my theater cry including me AMAZING MOVIE!!!! it got snubbed on some oscars.
I think it's not just Caesar having the resolve to stand by his morals that stopped him from killing the Colonel but pity that stayed his hand. He gave him the agency to decide for himself before the mutated virus strain completely robbed him of that. I think that's what marks him apart from the colonel as a leader. His compassion, whether it's begrudgingly loaned out to an enemy or to his fellow apes.
The thing is, as we can see with Nova, the virus actually doesn't destroy higher brain function. It seems like the initial onset of symptoms paralyze the vocal cords and causes some hemorrhaging and motor control issues, but after the infection runs its course everything but the vocal cords recovers. Obviously this would still be devastating to a military unit who wouldn't be able to communicate effectively, but they'd be able to adapt to a peaceful lifestyle pretty easily.
@@Fafhrd42yes, I think that’s what the Colonel realized… thinking of what he did to his son, who was fully aware that his father had actually been the one to lose his mind(humanity)
@@Fafhrd42 I think that's left debatably in the air because we're only getting the colonel's perspective on what happens to fully matured adults. It may be the case that it kills some but not others like many other flu variants and pathogens. i think the only thing that's left abundantly clear is that there will be a generation of preadolescents that have their higher functions either completely intact or functioning to a point where they're more like the apes were at the beginning of the first movie.
You're right though, I should have added something to this effect in my initial comment as it is only my thoughts and personal opinion that Caesar saw a hollowed-out version of the man he came to kill and gave him an out because it reflected how hollow and wrong his victory would be in that moment. Maybe even you could say he saw all the fear behind the facade.
To me it's the moment Caesar realises that nature can tip the scales a lot faster and with more cruelty than he could have ever mustered at that point.
@@DannyIgnite Yeah that would fit even better into the idea of his compassion anyway. Much better read of the dynamic between the two of them at that point.
Thanks to @fafhrd42 for pointing this out.
Edit: made another reply about how in the dark we really are about the virus besides the few people we've seen 9one of which is a child so it might affect them different), but it isn't here now. But either way in this moment, whatever is going through his head or is about to happen to him caesar showed mercy. Though, I'll give you guys that. Your read on the scene is more imapctful.
It's also his compassion that saves his life when nova gives him water and it's his compassion that ultimately defeats the colonel when novas doll gets him sick.
One of my favourite trilogies of all time.. been awesome watching it with you guys. I remember crying at the cinema at the end 😂🙂
16:30 not Nova's father. He's a soldier that took her away from base camp so that Col would kill her like he did the rest that stopped speaking.
The entire cast did a fantastic job in making us care about the apes and their relationship with each other so every scene just makes you so emotional, such amazing characters and insanely underrated performances
When they flashed that screenshot of Paul walker and vin diesel with the apes faces I absolutely lost it lol 😂
What Andy Serkis can do with motion capture... they NEED to create a category. And he needs to be recognized for the incredible characters that he has brought to life.
Teary ey3d at Maurice saying *Nova*
He is sooo sweet, i love him
War is probably my favorite of the planet of the apes movie so many great moments and tearful moments Woody Harrison was a fantastic villain can not wait for kingdom
The last 30 min of this move was so cray to watch in theaters. Everybody was like, “noooo”. One guy in the theater just screamed , “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK”😂
My biggest gripe with the film and would be a minor, Rocket should’ve been up on the hill with Maurice when Caesar died. It was those three we started with and ended up in the trees at the end of Rise and it should ended with the three of them on the hill in this one.
Was he not there along with the other apes?
@@prathapkutty7407 He was, but I think OP meant that Rocket should've been there alongside Maurice during Caesar's final moments. And honestly, I agree. The three of them have been a trio since the first movie. And with how loyal Rocket is, it's a total crime he wasn't there when Caesar passed on
There is some consolation in the fact that Rocket turns around and notices Caesar's body before it pans up and away - also, I seem to remember from somewhere that the point was to ensure that they didn't linger of the image of Caesar's corpse.
If it makes you feel any better, if you look closely right as Ceasar is dying, rocket does notice and turns back 🫡
I just wanna say, I love Tara's energy so much. She's so welcoming if that makes sense. She's fun.
So excited to see Tara and Andrew react to this movie! The Planet of the Apes Trilogy is so amazing! 👍
One of the most underrated trilogies
My favorite scene with Woody's character was the look on his face when he can't speak. Just like with Nova, he couldn't speak, and but he didn't feel any mental decline. He realized at that moment, he was nothing but murderer. He killed his son for nothing. He knew now that his son wasn't primitive, he knew what was happening. And that was such an awesome way to end your villain's arc.
If that “Donkey” hadn’t done what he did, Caesar would have died.
On this scene 9:39 that’s Blue Eyes’s wife Lake and Caesar’s daughter in law.
How are you not ballin' Tara at the end?
What a champ. Im crying
She's the loud one here, not the emotional one, haha
"At what part doez he share with her?"
*Ceasar shares*
Andrew : 😶
The final tree scene looks so similar to the first cage area, one in first movie.
This movie is the only franchise movie to make my top 10 all time favourite movies.
This movie really resonated with me and this is my favourite Matt Reeves film by far.
My son left this world far too soon. I've always related to Caesar the most in this film. Losing a child changes you forever.
i'm sorry for your loss.
Fun fact: This is the fourth Planet of the Apes movie Rocket’s actor Terry Notary has been in. He was Tim Roth’s double in Tim Burton’s movie. Apparently the reason why Thade was so ham in that movie was Notary and Roth kept thinking of random stunts to do and Burton was just like, “Sure”.
I used to think the 3 apes movies was just ok. Rewatching through this channel made me realize how great these movies are and why they made a 4th. When the trailer for the came out, i thought " oh another one of those, gees" but now i want to see it in theaters.
Even if it doesn't get as much praise, I HIGHLY recommend watching the last two movies in the Maze Runner series.
Yeah
May the Valkyries welcome you and lead you through Odin's great battlefield. May they sing your name with love and fury, so that we might hear it rise from the depths of Valhalla and know that you've taken your rightful place at the table of kings. For a great man has fallen: A warrior. A chieftain. A father. A friend. - Gobber The Belch
The next movie is directed by Wes Ball and is set 300 years after War, and will set the story of the clans that originated from Caesars oasis, and how they will deal with a clan that enslaves humans and apes in search of lost human tech and knowledge
So glad y’all watched this series. I watched all three a few months ago and love these so much more than the originals
Great reaction you two! 😊
Love the additions of Steve Zahn as Bad Ape, and Woody Harrelson as Colonel in this movie.
That ending always gets me. RIP to Caesar! 😢
This is easily one of my favorite movie trilogies along side the original "Star Wars" and "Maze Runner" trilogies.
For another great Steve Zahn movie, I very highly recommend the 1996 movie "That Thing You Do!".
Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊
I see these making the rounds. I was new to these as well. I watched them during the quarantine phase of the pandemic while I was bed ridden myself. I feel what's impressive is you see one and then go into a sequel as one does thinking it can't possibly equal or exceed the last yet I think they did that with all three. I would give every film a 10 and that alone stands out to me.
Never thought I'd get so emotional watching an anthropomorphic Ape die... yet here we are. 😢 💜
Nova was a girl in the first POTA with CHARLTON HESTON....Nice callback
Even though it get somewhat of a bad rap, you should definitely watch Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes from 2001. The practical makeup effects by Rick Baker alone make it worth watching. It also has a very stacked cast. Plus, Tim Roth’s performance as Thade is so good you don’t even realize it’s him through his voice.
"Can't we all just get along?" *gets kicked in the nuts*
"LEAVE HIM!!!" these two single words were more then enough to make his people rise up and stand with him
So, Maurice wasn't tortured like Koba.
Maurice, Rocket and the rest were in the Ape Shelter...they probably all went through some abuse at the hands of Malfoy's character, but they each had their own backgrounds from before and Maurice was a circus animal.
Koba, on the other hand, was a LAB APE from Gen-Sys, and had experienced years of systematic testing and abuse in the name of science.
I don't know HOW they could live up to this standard of quality, but I'm hoping the new movie can continue the string of success and incredible filmmaking for another trilogy. 🤞🏻
Movie was filmed primarily in various British Columbia locations (Vancouver, Tofino, Mammoth Studios, Burnaby Studios, Triangle Road Studio), some in Kananaskis Alberta, ending scene filmed in Washington State (Mount St Helens). MoCap was done in New Zealand and California
There’s a deleted scene as well as being part of the tie in graphic novels, the Colonel finds out about this encampment of Caesar’s apes from Malcolm. Malcolm is so in tuned with science as well as fond with Caesar and his apes that the Colonel kills him in cold blood with disgust. It’s tragic for Malcolm but it also shows how intense the Colonel is
Maurice said "RUN!" In the previous film.
Maurice was from the circus, knew human compassion & was taught how to sign by them unlike koba
(If I’m not mistaken)
Think this is one of my favourite reactions on the channel to be honest. Damn 😂
I absolutely loved yalls reactions to these films. These were great! I enjoyed rewatching them again as they are just masterpieces.
You're right Andrew, all Ceasar ever wanted was peace with his family, it's heartbreaking that he got what he wanted in his death 😭😭❤.
I love how you guys react to movies, put yourself into the character's shoes is the best way to feel the movie.
I recently rewatch the franchise in preparation for next month's Kingdom, are you guys going to see it? I personally can't freaking wait, fingers crossing that they at least if not better but keep the same quality of the previous 3 films.
Technically Maurice spoke in the last film too. “Run.” 😂
Supposedly there is a scrapped/deleted scene from this movie in which the Colonel tells Caesar that he killed Malcolm after finding out he aided the apes in Dawn.
Every good human in Caesar’s life just can’t catch a break 😢
Caesar is easily one of the best characters in movie history!
both Ceaser and Koba had hate for humans but unlike Koba and why koba would have never been a good/ respectable leader is koba couldn't direct his hate. ceaser knew how to separate his hate towards humans who actually did things to not just him but all apes. he wasn't just out there killing all humans like koba was. and koba just wanted to "prove his hatred for human was justified" koba really was the reason for all this. his aftermath still carried on.
Glad to see you back Miss Tara Erickson!
So happy we finally got to finish Caesar’s story! This is possibly my favorite trilogy of all time, where the movies just get better and better. Can’t wait for the Kingdom of Planet of the Apes which will take place 300 years later
You guys these apes movies cut right to the core of me !!! And my little ❤. Bravo for this film. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love this trilogy!
Caesar is definitely one of my favorite characters of all time!
you are an awesome pair. hope you get to watch the whole franchise and more
When we saw monkey killer helmet in the beginning and you silde Freeza in the corner the was absolute gold 😂
I love rocket so much because he is loyal to Caesar❤❤❤
The new movie "Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes" takes place 300 years after this movie. So it will be interesting to see how the story is.
I think it would be interesting to have a "TV" series, or streaming series where they have the first season continuing the story with Maurice, Bad Ape, Cornelius, Nova, etc., Then have the second season be further in the future and continue until just prior to the new movie. There could be a lot of world building there.
Great movie and reaction ! Congrats from Brazil 🇧🇷❤️
The music really makes this movie so much sadder. The scene where ceaser is running to blow up the tank is so powerful. The music man so good.
Mago que gran video como siempre 🖤✨ gracias !
Thematic Saturday! Rolling in from watching Rolypolyollie’s reaction to Disney’s 1999 Tarzan.
Koba wasnt beaten by the same humans as Maurice. Koba was a test subject at the company James Franco's character worked at. That's the difference as to Koba's experience with humans vs Maurice's
I cant wait for the new one..i love this trilogy so much, Ceaser will always be a top 10 favorite movie character for me
Maurice actually did speak in the second movie when he told that boy to run.
This trilogy is such a great series and it’s a literal prequel to the 1968 series of the planet of the ape movies which are set 700 years in the future. Can’t wait to see you react to those.
Then you have the kingdom of the planet of the apes coming out in May which is supposed to be 300 years in the future and I don’t know if maybe that’s the remake of the original 1968 one in the future or not but I can’t wait for it to come out
Most tear jerker movie in the series. Haven't seen the new one yet.
My fav trilogy right here
Caesar. Is. Home.
I've said it many times. The Planet of the Apes trilogy could possibly be the best trilogy of the 2010s. If not, it's at least in the top 3. Awesome films!
I can imagine in my mind the apes coming back to the mountain when it’s warmer and accumulating the weapons with the dead soldiers
Andrew & his big mouuuth hahaha , im at the end by the way.
Jeez Andrew, you wrote the script huh ?
Would definitely be interested in getting a reaction to the original movies from the 70s. I just watched them for the first time myself recently and the connections between these and the og series are pretty interesting.
i'm agree with you guys, this film must win the best picture, but oscar only nominated this film i think for the best audio or soundtrack , i don't remember yet, but this film is so dramatic and have more action it must win
You would not believe the tears when i saw this in theaters
Agreed Ceasar is an amazing character 1:05:34
Hey Andrew, just wanted to remind u that Maurice spoke in the second film when he told Malcolm and his family to RUN after Koba's betrayal.
Dont know if you caught it, but those lights in the sky weren't stars. They were spaceships. You'll understand once you watch the originals
Koba had horrible experiences throughout his life, prior to him being experimented on in the lab in the first film. In fact, I'm not even sure he was actually ever present in the shelter Maurice, Rocket, and Caesar were at in the first film.
I can't wait for the next movie to come out
I kind of saw it as he didn’t kill him because he felt pity for him. But also that what he became because he wasn’t the same man at that point . But he proved he was better then Koba in the end by not completely giving into his hate
Woody Harrelson deserved a best supporting actor nomination for this role
Maurice spoke in the 2nd film as well. He said "run"
Oh hell yeah, Id watch you watch all the original five movies, you two rock! No one else checks out the originals beaides the first one!
I cannot wait for you to watch the originals! The Easter eggs you’ll pick up are going to be so interesting going in this order.
