    To whom who asked about the different between balanced & un balanced chromosome
    Balanced mean no gain or lose of genes
    Un balanced mean there's gain or loss in chromosomes segment through deletion or duplication

    One thing I do not understand is what does balance and unbalance exactly mean?

    To the guy say the chromosomes aren't non-homologous, don't want to make you look odd or ehem dumb but they are...non-homologous, besides it's just a term the logic is more important, and btw these translocations appear to be involved in evolution as well

  • @Ur0pinionDoesntCount
    @Ur0pinionDoesntCount 10 років тому

    Hey doesn't reciprocal translocation also occur between two nonhomologous chromosomes as well...that's what i read

    • @unknownstrangermaster7747
      @unknownstrangermaster7747 7 років тому

      yah because there are two types of translocation. read the description of the video tnx. idiot

    I could actually listen to this in 2x the speed without any problems. Maybe you should talk quicker or maybe this function makes it okay :D

      Robertsonian takes place between chromosome 13,14,15, 21 and 22 as far as I know. These are the acrocentric ones.

    • @MN-ox6yc

      14-21 most commonly

    • @vijayapandu7960
      @vijayapandu7960 3 роки тому +1

      There is no question about 16th chromosome becoz robertsonian only takes place in acrocentric chromosomes which are 13,14,15,21,22
      Most common 13,14 and 14,21

  • @alexduval4740

    He said non-homologous but drew em like homologous....just noticed that

    • @adams7839

      +Alex Duval Based off of what, the color of the chromosome? The color scheme doesn't matter at all, so stop confusing people.

    heres some practice for ya: Why does a Robertsonian translocation require a Acrocentric chromosome?
