I did the same trip in Dec 2023 / Jan 2024 from Bris - Melb - Bris - it was a horrible experience with the charging infrastructure however my car is the Ioniq 28 with a small battery.
my understanding is that NRMA is in the charging game because other charging companies deemed it not profitable. they're always at the most convenient real locations, always off the main highway. they are a very nice backup.
Do you regularly watch the Aussie BYD channels 'Ludicrous Feed' (BYD'Tom, Sydney), 'Chris EV RoadTrip' (Chris, Sydney), 'BYD Owners' (Ian'B, Gold Coast QLD), 'Sky Perspective' (Richard, QLD), 'Juic'd Garage' (Ed, Sydney)? they upload a lot of regular BYD AU EV content
Corolla hybrid, 1100k's out of a tank, Brisbane - Sydney 1 tank, $60. No stress at all... Bugger electric to much stress. But I did enjoy this video. thanks.
The Australian charging infrastructure is at least 10yrs behind the rest of the world. New Zealand has a better charging network than Australia. I live in FNQ and there is 1 charger in my city and that's for a population of 150,000 people. The nearest charger if that is not working is 60km away. IMHO every gas station should have 1 super charger of at least 100kwh capacity, and you should be able to just tap a credit card. This whole app infrastructure thing is for marketing and data capture. The Australian government needs to step up and put its money where its mouth is.
Enjoyed that! Thanks.

So glad I own a Tesla. Just put in the destination and it routes automatically.
So glad I own an ICE. I don't have to forage for fuel'
overpriced plastic 😁
Total cost of charging for the trip? I'm looking at $500 in fuel for a 6 cylinder car 😔
I did not keep tabs but it was about $200.
Holbrook originally called Germantown until the word war . Just thought It’d tell you .
