Man the pieces are getting harder exponentially now. Took me 2 weeks to pass Bach Gavottes d minor.. Now this seems even harder. Thankfully, you're always here to help :) Starting on the slow version first obviously.
I am so glad to be of help to you! And quietly - getting through the Gavotte in only 2 weeks is excellent! Bravo! Keep up the good work, and also remember that you dont need to rush:-) Especially with Bach, there is so much to learn in his works🙏🎻🦋
@@violingardenacademy Thank you! And yes, I agree. I'm giving each piece as much time as needed. I just rely on my teacher passing it. If they say I need more time, I give it more time. All pieces until the gavotte took 1 week. Now the pieces are hard enough that 1 week isnt enough. But ill be sure to spend as much time on each piece as needed. Be it 2 weeks or 10. No rush :)

I just got my book 3 today after not really having many challenges left in book two and oooh boy.... I really need to start hitting those F and B major scales HARD during practice. The low 1s and 4s could use some work....
How exciting! And yes, the F and B major scales are very critical:-). A tip for practicing that on the A string is to keep the third finger in its place (note D) and move the first finger down and back up. Just let the finger slide on the string at first to make sure the hand doesn't tense up. The main pitfall with the fourth finger pattern (all fingers low but the third) is that the first finger pulls all the fingers lower with it, and then intonation really suffers. Perhaps I should make a video on this topic? In any case, I hope this is of help! You can also find all pieces in slow practice tempo on my channel which should be even more helpful to your practice! Even though this isn't a religious piece, I've always thought of it as the life, death and resurrection of Jesus because Bourree 1 is lively and in a major key whereas Bourree 2 is introspective and in a minor key, and after that it suddenly switches back to Bourree 1 again!

Make SLOWER version❤😊😂😅🎉😮
I have slow versions of all pieces in Books 1-3, you can find the playlists on my channel! Here is the slow Bourrée: ua-cam.com/video/XoyaPL_Bc10/v-deo.html.
Am currently working on Book 4, and have the first two pieces up already:-). Thanks for watching and keep up the good practice!
Thanks❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
😅
Nice! Är du en violin teacher?
;)
Oli Björn thank you! Yes, Im a violin teacher:-)
I’ve don five borees from now
What your ñame🧐🧐🧐
My name is Anna Lea:-)
Even though this isn't a religious piece, I've always thought of it as the life, death and resurrection of Jesus because Bourree 1 is lively and in a major key whereas Bourree 2 is introspective and in a minor key, and after that it suddenly switches back to Bourree 1 again!
Thats a lovely way of seeing it!
As they say, whatever floats your boat
Its good but u need to practice a bit more
