I quit the horrible business plan of owning my own truck I work at Walmart driving for them best thing I ever did so much more time off no expenses amazing pay check out my latest videos
I know right! They're not in a hurry what so ever. Im going to make a set up video really soon but honestly all you can do is just follow the prompts and wait.
I’m considering buying a power unit within 5 years. I’d like to start with Relay. Do they have enough consistent work to make ends meet and pay the bills? I see their trailers all over the highways.
Honestly, I wouldn't. I drive for Walmart and make a ton. 5 day work week, easy work, 25 paid days off...when I say paid I mean real pay they take an average of what you make per day and that's what you get on PTO! Also the benefits are the best in the business. Amazon pays meh per mile and it's not reliable. It was hard to book good loads consistently. You also need to consider the other carriers that are running it most of them trucks are falling apart and they're doing shady this to keep their costs down. Consider walmart first. I wish I did! @@ThisTruckingLife I’m currently a road driver for ABF Freight. It’s a great job with free health insurance and a pension, but it’s slow right now and it sucks. I might consider Walmart if I get laid off.
My authority gets active in a few days. Is there anyway you can do some load board videos for San Antonio area. I'm only able to get onto Convoy right now to see power only loads. Thanks in advance.
@@mannyactual That sounds nice man, i might have to look into their contracts. I started pulling under my own authority around the same time you did. Sept 22nd was my first load. I have an amazon dc like 40 miles from my house, i'd love to try them out if the contracts are decent, even though I already have a trailer.
@@jmh4ggg you need the rating to get the contracts and the load board is slow. The contracts is where your going to make it out of this whole shortage situation
I'll be signing onto Amazon relay in a few weeks, how do you become familiar with how to work the load board ? or you free-style it and hope you guest right...
I wish you good luck. The load board is pretty easy to use. The filters are very helpful and you can save them. I dropped my authority and no longer have access.
Looking to start my own deal, but want to stay Florida only. Is it possible to look at their board to see what's going on in my state? Without registeing/signing up w/Amazon?
You can’t access Amazon Relay's board without signing up, but with the RelayOk extension, once you’re registered, you can easily filter and view loads specific to Florida. It’s super helpful for targeting your area
I would not do Amazon again. Amazon Indian Brokering Department do double booking a lot 50% of the time they keep you as a spare tire. Wasting time and money.
I was just approved with Amazon, when I go to load board type in my domicile and then equipment, it will not allow the search button to show up, its grayed out. I also uploaded my temporary driver license, for my driver profile approval. It's still showing pending. Do I have to wait until I get my real driver's license in the mail, before the system accepts my license, and does this have something to do with why I cannot access the load board?
@@ThisTruckingLife Amazon does do it, we get load out trailers from brokers that are amazon branded picking up from amazon DCs and delivering to another amazon DC for 7 day use. I am just not sure how the brokers are finding them. I put in a ticket on relay maybe amazon can explain it. Thanks though.
@@Dispatch-sy3rb yeah that's awesome I didn't know that! I've only moved empties for Amazon on the relay. They only give you travel time plus like an hour.
I havnt been working and using my relay for over a month but my score just keep going down. Now it’s %89 for no reason. If I’m not using it dose it go down or I get suspended? And I’m working on my truck not ready to work for few more weeks, what do I have to do ?
Good question, idk. Seems strange that the score would go down without use...kinda like a credit score 🤔 . 🤷♂️ I'm about to find out though. They really messed up and I'm getting the shaft. @@ThisTruckingLife it droped even more rn is 79% it’s anoying. Idk who to call I called the trip thing roc or whatever they said they pass it through the person I emailed few times. Nothing works
@@Haulinglife getting any reliable help from roc or the relay team is impossible. They changed up one of my trips and accidentally erased all the pay except one trip had the fuel surcharge on it. So for 2400 miles I was going to get $99. They told me to run it anyways and dispute the invoice...a week later. Wtf. What makes them think I'd trust them to fix it then when they wouldn't right there? Listen. Get good with Schneider. They assign you a broker and that's where the money is at...at least for first year power only
@@ThisTruckingLife reply i opens there account in the beginning of my company. It was about 7 month ago and I was checking there load n it was just about $1.5 I never took a load from them. Anything less than $2 not worth it
So pretty much there’s no future in running Amazon, I’ve been on it for about a month and haven’t booked a single load because of the rates, probably going to cancel the additional trailer insurance they require. I say stay away.
Did you know that Amazon relay has a option that they will lease your trailer from you? They will lease it indefinitely on a weekly basis I don’t know the exact number but if you have an account and a trailer that’s sitting they will lease it. It does need to be a 53’ dry van

those are truly disgusting rates
