Love ya channel man, thank you brother
Tony can I let another trucking company use my load board for Amazon. If I have them set as administrator and drivers on my Amazon load board. And as long as they give me a certificate of insurance naming my trucking company as certificate holder with Amazon ins. Requirements?
I appreciate your perspective. You answer so many of my questions without me asking. Good luck with your future endeavors.

Hey man appreciate how clearly and understandable you explained things. I currently do loads for amazon but with a 📦 🚚. I have a class A and was interested in getting a daycab so like you said (options) when I don't like the BT loads I can also look at the power only. But You where awesome in your explaining.
Hi Imel. Thank you for your comment. Please let me know if you have any questions in the future. Be safe...
Very helpful and nice 👍 thanks for sharing your experience god blessed you brother
Tony
Thanks for the information. I pull for Amazon with my own trailer. One of the biggest reasons why I got my own trailer is because certain Amazon Fulfillment Centers don't have as many loads/empty trailers out their facility, so I found myself sitting for a day sometimes up to 3 days trying to get a empty trailer or a load out of that area facility. Sometimes I had to bobtail to another facility a few miles away or up to 100 miles away to get a load or empty out of the area. As you mentioned with your own trailer you can be very flexible. Some Amazon power only loads don't pay very well, so having my own trailer I can usually pickup a CH Robinson, Coyote, uber, or regular broker load, make up the for low rate or no loads/empty coming out of that facility. Don't get me wrong I like Amazon and how they use technology to make loading and unloading more efficient. It just with the way trucking is right now, you have to be as flexible as possible to bring in good revenue on a weekly basis.
Right on, brother. I always say that Amazon is a good backup...but not a good thing to do as your only choice.
About how much can you make month pulling your own trailer?
I think this video convinced me to go to Amazon thanks for the info

Hey I enjoyed your video very informative thank you very much can you please do it update because I know a lot is changed also can you enlighten us on convoy and CS Robinson and dartboard maybe do a video on those or something I’m looking more into OTR long distance loads thank you
Hey 👋 there.. New subscriber, really like how you calmly deliver lots of helpful an useful info.. If I may ask, any other than amazon relay you would recommend; or, can share info on power only loads?? Appreciated!!
Thank you for the feedback! Look at Convoy for sure, and Landstar has an approved carrier division as well pulling their trailers.
I'm interested in the video where you go over the renting and leasing or least on trailers. Which video is that 1?
My biggest complaint with those trailers are the alignments , I would get trailers that are so jacked up from the Yard hostlers Jack knifing to much
Great information, but can you share the information on the SBA program
Thank U

Great advice man. Been trucking for 25 yrs doing heavy haul and I'm looking for something more dedicated. I never wanted to get back into dry van but I see they need guys out of Jacksonville and though I live in Port Saint Lucie, I still find this Amazon work interesting. I liked and subscribed and hope to see more videos from you brother. Thanks and take care!
Thank you for watching!
Did you ever go and do the Amazon stuff brother? I Am wanting to become an O/O and see that Amazon is dedicated lanes, I live near Jacksonville as well
@@weepweep2225 Na man. I found a rgn heavy haul job for now. Just waiting for my truck to be done with an overhaul, then I'm jumping back in my stepdeck as o/o again.
@@weepweep2225 take my advice... the road sucks! otr is the worse thing you can do. It will keep you away from too many precious family times and next thing you know, you're an old dummy like me that missed out on life. Find something local. Not regional, not otr... just local with solid benefits. You'll retire better with a happier life. I've done it all and have had drivers working for me and the whole 9 yards. Avoid Landstar at all costs and just find a local gig.
Very informative video , thanks Tony ! Do not like Hi tech babysitters !😎
Thank you, sir.
Very informative videos! Thanks I was looking for the video that mentions where you rented your trailer. Could you provide me with that info? I would appreciate it!
Yes! Go to RollinTrailer.com. Be safe...
Can you make videos about your business credit line. Thank you
Very nice and informative video, I’m trying to joint Amazon as a carrier, unfortunately I have not been able to get to load board, I got approved but never able to see their loads, if you have some info I really appreciate it.
Thanks and keep posting your videos
Amazon Relay
i'v watched many of your videos but lost track of the video where you spoke about making your truck available for better rates & Exposure can you pls provide the link for the video? Thanks really appreciate your content as a subscriber.
Could you break down fuel surcharge in your next video? Are you able to include a fuel surcharge to what Amazon pays? It's it included in the relay price? Thank you
Amazon does pay FSC, and it is included in the rate noted on the Relay board. I do not know how they determine FSC, but if you hover over the load rate, a pop up shows how much of the rate is FSC. Thank you for the question.
Dude 👊🧔
What did you gross on the empty trailer from SLC to Vegas? And the loaded one from Vegas??
Were can a rent a trailer thanks for u video it helps alot
You can try rollintrailer.com.
Good morning, How did your insurance premium change when going from power only to adding your personal trailer?
How should I load my trailer. I'm new and we pick up reefer products. Some time we have 18 pallets. So what should be the proper way to load my trailer. Reply if you have any information on that.
Thank you
How do you drop your own trailer or who do you notify that you are going to drop your trailer at Amazon?
Hi Tony thank you for what you doing l want to ask you something l want to ask you should l go a head and get my mc # insurance and everything l need to work with amazon and how much they pay per mile please let me know thank you
Great info...what would you do in the case the Amazon trailer is defective?
If you notice it before you leave the yard, report to the guard shack.
Hi Tony this is Amazon we noticed you’re not moving is everything ok ? 🤣🤣🤣
I just needed to pee!!! Jeez.........!! Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol 😂😂 too funny!!!

Hello, thank you for helping us with all this content. I wanted to ask you where did you rent your trailer? I'm deaperate to leese or rent one since prices spiked. Thank you in advance!
I got mine through RollinTrailer.com. Great equipment. However, they are facing a shortage like everybody else.
I just got signed up with amazon everything they have is cheap $1.20 and less per mile here in the southeast ATLanta ga
I find their rates to be on the lower side on average. I wonder if the current conditions are playing a part in your area?
Really
Bro, is that real? Why take that cheap rate 1.20 if you can find on loadboard for 2.20. Is there any trick or catch? thanks
Is it worth pulling for Amazon instead of looking for direct lanes? Haven’t gotten my truck just yet. Will be in a few months. Just trying to see which way to go. Thanks
Does Amazon have truck requirements for relay loads? Mostly like year and mileage.
Awesome videos Tony! Which company that rents month to month trailer, please? Thank you so much
So, I used rollintrailer.com. They were great and the equipment was excellent. However, a few drivers recently have told me that they couldn’t get through to the company for some reason.
@@TruckingTopicsToday thank you for responding. I've been having issues finding a trailer rental. Hopefully I'll get through. God bless you! Thank you for all the videos
If i want power only loads from amazon relay load board should i select trailor required or trailor provided option thanks
I see that Amazon requires o/o to have workers comp while applying to pull. I can see having it to pull for them but, to apply? What if you decide not to pull for them? Then you bought it and didn't need it. Thanks.
Hi. Will it be hard getting my drivers home every day or every other day with AMAZON
How old does Amazon require your authority to be to run for them?
Great video ! Can you make a video on how to get load from Amazon. Weather power only or your own trailer ? Thank you
That video was posted recently. Look at the list and you should see it.
I respect this dude and all other operators. I really dislike when they don't want to talk about pay. Based on your question he may be correct that it varies from region to region but if he gave you an honest example of a region he has done and what it has paid it would have helped you a whole lot. Don't know why these guys feel it's a secret. I operate Box trucks and I would gladly tell anyone what I'm getting paid from my company.
Hi Zeiad. I get a lot of questions about box truck operations, and I’m currently looking for a few O/O’s to interview on the channel. Please email me at tony@truckingtopicstoday.com if you are interested.

how do the rates look in Spartanburg, South Carolina, power only? thanks
Can you use hotshot truck ?
Can you please tell me where can I get a trailer to rent or lease?
Hello !! Does amazon has special requirement for the trailers like above some year, some brand or how does that work ? Apreciated your answer:)
They accept dry vans with no age requirement. Just needs to be able to pass a DOT inspection.
Valuable information Tony! Now my question for you is, which is more profitable? Using your own trailer and getting paid for milage or using amazons trucks?
All things being equal, especially with load availability...I would say power only using their trailers. If they compensated a bit more for using your trailer, I would say that is best. However, that is not the case.
@@TruckingTopicsToday
They should
Love your video my biggest question with power load is if your trailer is empty are you still being paid per mile while is empty?
Every time I pulled an empty Amazon trailer, I was paid the normal rate.
What is a going rate for power only. At least what is the pay range???
I'm thinking of doing a day cab is that a good idea
If you just want to do local runs, yes it is.
Nothing has changed They still call you if you stop, and people still are not doing inspections on the trailers. And have been to the TA three times this week
I always ignored the call...as long as I knew I was going to be on time. Never went against me.
Great info.I’m new to your channel.Thinking about pulling for Amazon.I live in Louisiana along I-10.I currently run Houston to Atlanta or Houston to Jacksonville Florida. If I get on with Amazon do you have any suggestions on the best lanes for Amazon in the lanes I listed.
Thanks
Hey I am also in Louisiana. How has it worked out for you? Did you start with amazon?
@@AtomicTrap5 Hi,I haven’t pulled one Amazon load yet.I run back and forth to Florida.I’m going to try and find a load (Amazon) coming out of Ocala or Jacksonville this weekend.
Thanks for checking on me.
Hello I’m consider buying a truck and doing owner op with Amazon doing power only and I’m wonder what my honest monthlynet is I’d really appreciate if you can answer.
Do we need to have pur own authority to contract with Amazon?
Where can I get semi trucks in bulk at cheaper cost
Just curious what’s the avg pay for power only Amazon relays?
Man it’s not great at all on average Amazon Relay power only pays $1.40 - $2.02 per mile it’s 😢 sad 😞 majority of their loads are gonna be multi stops. For instance 1,749 miles would pay power only $3,544.95 going one way to Arizona minus fuel costs which could rage going that far $1,051.20. Which would leave you with $2,493.70 after 4-5 days of driving now you’re stuck in Arizona and might have to deadhead somewhere else to find a load
It all sounds good but I have had some nightmares with Amazon. I never heard of them taking someone more than an hour early so getting there 6 hours early in the hope of them taking me would more than likely leave me steaming. I was held up at a facility for 2.5 days because their system kept crashing. All the truck stops were full as a result so I had nowhere to park so I stopped in the middle of their driveway at the check-in bldg and refused to move. They finally allowed me to drop my trailer in the yard and they moved it to a door when they were ready. On top of all that they lost my paperwork and it took several hours to locate it when I went back to pick up my trailer. The trailer was trashed as well. I hope you can understand why I would be very leery about working with them. Their rates are not all that good. Glad to hear at least someone has had good experiences with them.
Well, Amazon is certainly not perfect...
which state were you in when this happened?
Tony how do the rates vary doing live load as opposed to doing power only?
Honestly, I didn’t see much of a difference. I just used the trailer as a tool for another option in case there were no power only loads available. If I were to pick between the two, power only loads give you more flexibility...and there’s no loading or unloading.
How do I get started. With putting a truck on with Amazon and are the rates good. You said hauling mt. You get a good rate mt as loaded. Please let me know. I want to expand my business. Thanks this is Alex with 330 trucking and hauling llc
Would you recommend a 48' or a 53' reefer unit? And what name brand do you believe is the best.?
In my opinion the 53 will also be the best option.. more room, more options, more money. Look for reefer trailer that doesn't have the unit hanging from the ceiling unit.. Just my opinion..
Hi Tony, how early can you show up to amazon
As we get more into Q4, times will start tightening up. I have been up to 1-1/2 hours early at times. If the load is ready, they let you in, otherwise they will give you an estimate of when the trailer will be ready. Into Q4, you can expect loads being ready close to the times that are posted, or after. Hope this helps.
Thank you for the info. I gotta question. Amazon building a big warehouse in the city i live in Colorado Springs. Do you think if i buy a tractor will i be able to get consistent loads when it open.? Thanks
Yes yes & yes I've been doing Amazon general freight out of Las Vegas and it appears to me there's plenty of work.. I drive for a pair of business owners that also drive they have a small fleet of about seven trucks
you better be one of the first to hit that place up...loads out the a hole haha.... getsum
Would they take on reefer trailers or is it only dry van trailers. Thanks
They do accept reefer trailers.
When they said trailer provided
It means Amazon provides trailer
Or bring your own
Amazon provided.
i just recently got my CDL and all this is new to me ( Im 35) but I got class B instead because a friend told me its so much better. Dont even have my first gig yet as a truck driver. But do you know anything about class B and would you recommend A instead? Thanks im from northern NJ btw.
If you want to drive big trucks with a trailer, then you will need a class A. Otherwise you are limited to straight and box trucks with no trailer. You can haul a trailer with a class B that is under 10,000 lbs. A normal 53’ trailer weighs on average 15,000 lbs. Get your class A to give you more opportunity.
Hi thank you for your service how do I start Amazon relay power only Acount ? What is the requirements please thank you again
You can view the requirements at relay.Amazon.com. We can assist you with getting approved for Relay at CarrierCheck.net
Help sir I’m new subscriber on your channel ,my question is do I need cargo insurance with power only load ?
Yes, you do need to have cargo insurance with power only loads. Amazon requires a minimum of $100,000 coverage for cargo. You will also need trailer replacement coverage at a minimum of $50,000.
Thanks 🙏
You mentioned renting trailers but what about renting a tractor to use from places like Ryder? I’m just looking into this and not sure if I’d want to put up such a big investment for my own tractor.
Using a rental is allowed. You just have to work out the insurance issue between your carrier and Ryder. Several owners use this option.
Hi there, quick question will Amazon let you do power only with a new Cdl & Authority ?
Yes. Good luck, and be safe...
We just signed up with Amazon and I am confused about the required trailers and provided trailer. We don't currently have a trailer so when we look under trailer type and we have two options Provided and Required does the provided trailer mean that Amazon will provide the trailer or does it mean we are saying that we provided the trailer???? Thanks for all of your videos they are very helpful
Take loads with ‘provided’ trailer. That means that Amazon provides the trailer to you.
Also in the Convoy website, it ask approximate full truckload per year, what exactly doe that mean?
I'm not sure...i'll check that out.
