I get more inspiration playing myself the chords than using those midi packs, ppl who dont play chords you better off spending a few hours here and there watching a few tutorials on youtube, learn basic chords and what keys give different type of emotions than using premade midi loops, and on a long run its more rewarding to get original music written. Great content Bolo and great videos as always, that intro cracked me up haha, i just cant stand those midi packs and all the corny youtubers promoting them on those annoying adds to get a dollar smh...

Your audio editing skills are admirable. Just as composers of old could look at a page of notes and hear it in their heads, you apparently can see the blocks on the computer screen and "hear" it in advance.
There's a piano roll tho. That's most likely what he's using. A piano layout
yeah great ears, he removes 2 chords to replace them with others becuase he does not like them and then carefully choses the same chords he just removed. If you want to make music do your self a favour and learn basic theory doesn't but this sh*t

I thought this pack was really cool until I realized all the progression folders are literally the same no matter what key you're in lol. They coudl've just gave you the one folder and you can slide up or down the roll to the right key. Still cool just not as MUCh cool stuff as they tell you.
Update: I got an ad for the chord pack while watching this review LMFAOOO
Wow man that's what I was worried about. Alot of these 'By my Product' pages doing the same chords in the key c-d-e etc etc and we can just slide up or down to change this ourselves. They always get the consumer... sad right ✅

the entire idea of a chord pack is snake oil unless you're not serious enough about music to spend some time learning the base theory (imo)

This is great, this approach. It’s the sonic equivalent of painting a portrait. I think it’s imperative to have this ability when I just have my phone to capture an idea. But, ultimately I think recording and sound design should be more humanized... have movement and nuance. That’s what makes songs stand out the most. You are actually a gifted musician. I’d like to hear some tracks you made that lend more to performance than composition. Just sayin.
Ummm.... I don't know if you recognize this or not, but after all that switching Out chords and chopping up things that you did on that first chord progression, you pretty much ended up right back where you started lol. That's the exact same chord progression that you dragged into the playlist LOL
yeah this guy is a clown, he changes the first progression from Amin, C, D, Emin and after carefully using his ears he ends up switching the progression up using two other progression and ending up with the same progression, they even name the chords in each progression using roman numerals but he still misses it.
I was looking all over for this type of info on the core pack and just not only shown me it but brought it into a new light. Thanks kid.

There's nothing wrong with midi chord packs and the like but then after a while gets a bit redundant without master studio musicians to bring them to life using their knowledge of neo soul, blues, jazz, funk, etc. You just can't throw around equidistant 4 note chords without ornaments, interludes, bridges, and passing chords and think you hit a gold mine grammy award winning piece.

I like to play my own chords just like I don’t sample but I see where this could help give you a lil different sound that you wouldn’t get on your own...at least they are real chords you could learn anyways .not like sampling... I still just hate sampling but that’s just my opinion
