This should have been the main theme of the game, it embodies all the curiosity, fear, determination, adventure and fun that my brother and i met during the first outward run Amazing
@@lofi1598 Well..this comment hasnt aged well. I hope they stay indie, and keep making inperfect wonderful games. Not soulless cash grab microtransaction live service nonsense.
It's like I'm living in a wistful yet cautious fantasy adventure. Honestly this song alone really should have been the main theme of Outward. It tells so much story without any visuals. I can picture betrayal, power from the ashes, tears for the fallen, a vengeful determination, a new discovery of the ages, a new threat to end all ages. It's so damn fucking beautiful
The fact that people hold so many different themes in this soundtrack as their favorites serves as a testament to just how memorable it (and the whole game) is.
This music feels exactly what enmerkar forest makes you feel. Like you are little creature in the middle of this vast forest, ancient and forgotten forest. I am always mesmerised by the atmosphere that this forest has and when the music goes full force it sends chills down my spine. even though I finished the game I still love this game.
Jean-Francois! I love your music! This is some of the most mystical and enchanting fantasy music I have come across in years! It is a beautiful blend of epic grandeur, european folk instruments, and orchestral production. Magnificent work! I can't wait to hear more from you!
I've probably spent about two thirds of my playtime in only Hallowed Marsh, so when I encountered this area, with this song, I had to take a moment to admire the triumphant music. It was like there was a crowd watching and cheering me on, as I traversed the dangerous woodland.
This is my favorite soundtrack of the game , also , it's perfect for both visual and historical settings of the game , in Enmerkar forest. In this soundtrack I see the pure energy of nature and of the wild , which is life , and , even when bent , offended and damaged by both humans' actions and by calamities , it is still able to recover and to flourish again , indomitable , so to keep giving life to the world. After all , without nature there would not be any life. The sounds in the soundtracks continuously remind animals running lively in the forest , and in particular from 1:32 to 1:43 the running sounds start like an introduction and are more specific reminding the hopping way of running of deers. In the game deers really roam in Enmerkar Forest , they are called Coralhorns , but they are clearly a fantasy version of deers. Both the beginning and the end of the soundtrack evoke a sense of mystery which is suitable to what the wild nature is. The middle part looks to be focused on the adversities benting the nature and the nature which recovers with unstoppable energy , like it has always done. This is a materpiece.
@@jfracine_composition hehehe , that's just what happens every day since we wake up to when we go to sleep and we wake up again. All we need is a will to see (^_^) thank you , I'm very honored by your compliment Jean-Francois , I will remember that (^v^)
The beginning in minor with that sense of mystery and lurking danger, gives way to the major where the theme becomes hope and adventure. My favorite game soundtrack of all time and I grew up with Zelda.
This track. This one track is one of the many reasons I keep coming back to Outward. I love how mysterious is makes the Enmerkar Forest feel, yet makes me want to explore and learn it's secrets. And damn if it doesn't feel powerful when the music picks, making me feel as timeless as the forest itself. I really love this game and I love the music that breathes life into so much more.
God man its so good I had to comment twice, this song just does things to me that no other song does and it literally never gets old I can play it over and over. I was meant to come across this song I feel like it was destiny
I found this completely by accident, via the YT auto-playlist. I gotta say, this is absolutely fantastic! I've probably replayed it four or 5 times now! :)
Nothing to say that hasn't already been put in some wonderful essays. The pride and indestructible strength of nature, the despair of fallen cultures in the wailing strings, the mystifying sense of an adventure beyond our feeble minds. It's just perfect. Even outside of this game i'd probably call this one of the best tracks i've heard. Kudos!
This music is amazing! Just like the game! This piece and Hallowed Marsh are my favorites, while Hallowed Marsh makes me feel like a holy mission or a crusade for the greater good, the Enmerkar Forest song makes me feel the true essence of fantasy. This piece reminds of adventuring, the cold harsh breeze, the forest with magical creatures, the complicated intricacies of life and magic! Thanks for your hard work Jean-Francois! You music is spectacular!
I listen to this soundtrack all the time. It's so beautiful and just captures that sense of a grand yet dangerous adventure so perfectly. Truly a special game that wouldn't be the same without such an amazing soundtrack.
Jean-Francois!! This piece touched my heart. I fell in love with this gem and I want to thank you for such a beautifully enchanting crafted piece of music. I decided to join the Blue Chamber Collective solely based on this piece alone. The entire soundtrack of the is beautiful but nothing comes close to this. Is this entire soundtrack going to be for sale anytime soon?
I would definitely love to share a moment with a friend while we traverse Enmerkar Forest. It just really captures the vibe, immersing me all over. If only the writers could've put books or something, so that way there'll be more in-game lore to read.
Been there, done that sadly... The only thing that sates my hunger for lore these days is by asking the writer directly on their discord for more stuff that could be asked.
I've absolutely fallen in love with the soundtrack since I started playing a few days ago, I wondered if you could share some of your favorite video game soundtracks that inspired your style for this game?
hmm, cant find this track on the official soundtrack on steam, the Enmerker Forest track is totally differrent on it, although this is the one from the game.
Enmerkar Forest... Doesn't feel like a forest... I understand the vibe of a haunted forest that's getting cursed that's filled with highway men and corpse wasps... But it really doesn't feel like a forest...
500+ hours in Outward, I never put on other background music. Top tier soundtrack.
thank you !
I'm glad you'll be back in Outward 2

Great news!

I go to this forest just to hear this song sometimes
An outstanding soundtrack for the most compelling RPG I've played since Morrowind. I could listen to this all day.
Well said sir.

super mario galaxy is a nostalgia trip. Meanwhile blinx/2 is part nostalgia and part great. idk why people don't really know about blinx
Each of these tracks fits the context in the game perfectly. Just listening to them makes me feel like I'm still in the game.
