worst thing about dieing is not knowing where u end up after a death scenario, but after u die enough times, it becomes very easy to catch ur bearings, even in a new map or area u havnt really visisted much.

Fantastic video, thanks for the tips. The main concept that sets this game apart from other rpg's is that there is no level system. Everyone is created equally at the start. Instead the players stats are dependant on the armor, weapons and skills purchased/found and equipped. This game is truly a masterpiece and underrated. I would love to see a sequel at some point. I just started playing the definitive edition a few days ago after playing the original version at release. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves a good challenge and doesn't mind some jank. Just remember that this game is hard and without a guide you might find yourself failing quests or returning to a town and finding out its been blown up because you didn't do a task in time. Cheers 🍻

New to Outward, and I'm looking at this guide after spending around 9 hours in the game only to realize there's hidden stuff ALL OVER THE PLACE. WHAT. O_O I never knew some of these places existed :D
Man, I appreciate this guide so much! I haven't played the game in a year so this helped me get back into it and get a character ready for the DLC's I haven't played. I followed it to the T and am so HAPPY with how much time you saved me! The only caveat is IMHO new players should NOT use this guide! It totally ruins a TON of content if you haven't already experienced it!
With the Friendly Immaculate, I find that it's best to only ask it for the Possessed skill (can you help me > I want power) and then don't ever ask for anything else to make sure you get the final gift. I don't know if ever saying "I'm sure you need it better than I" is ever necessary, but I suppose it can't hurt. I don't remember if I ever did. 26:40 You had a ruby, you could have looted the other trog door if you wanted to, but not necessary.
Ever since they nerfed potions, my life has been in shambles... I feel so lost not taking 3 hours grinding to get all the skills in the game. This guide so far is really good though! Love the channel as well
in my opinion (which is ok to disagree with), you were just cheating yourself out of 3 hours of your life doing the potions grind. there is nothing skill based about the potion grind, all you really get is a sense of pride that you did it the "legit" way. the potions grind was just exploiting the game's lack of an economy, which i don't think is any better than exploiting the cierzo legacy chest or just debugging enough money for the build you're making on PC. the potion grind just takes much longer, which gives it a sense of legitimacy. I did the potions grind once, which was enough for me to decide that I never need to do it again.
@@Dsmky117 It's interesting that you believe that only skill based activity is rewarding. I wonder if that translates to all areas of your life. The most interesting part, I suppose, is that you're relating it to a game. Granted, you acknowledged it was 'ok that you disagree'; but, shouldn't a games primary function be entertainment? I find fulfillment in other areas of my life. While I don't need it from a game, I don't judge those that get that kind of fulfillment. I understand people are different, but from my perspective, I already grind for money in my real life job. I don't want to be forced to do it more... a full year after release... in some low key update... to "fix" players from enjoying the game, that they purchased, how they please. Comparing an exploit to poorly thought out potion prices are not the same. Glitches/cheats break item continuity, make no sense in the game world; potions being worth more than their constituent parts is not comparable. Claiming otherwise is ridiculous on it's face. Why not just fix broken gameplay, not pearl clutch about some players getting achievements in a way, god forbid, *THE DEVS DIDN'T INTEND* I've played the game for 3 hours after having it on my wishlist for months, unfortunately I can not get a refund.
@@enclave2k1 yea just reduce the potion count but keep the silver and value of potions. If you want 150 silver plus all the towns silver, it should be doable in a few hours of playing. 4 in game days for the 150, and a week or so for the whole towns silver. However that works out for in game exchange
Awesome and fun guide, thanks Churchy! I love that you take us through a tour around the main game and, after all of that, we're barely scratching the surface of what this game has to offer. I'll make sure to use this on my next playthrough.
Mind you: If you die at any point in this very long and convoluted journey, especially in the harder areas, it will dump you into some random dungeon somewhere in the region you are in, probably with enemies that will murder you.
Thank you for your content its relatively fresh uploads to youtube I only restarted playing outward It was in my library and I got a dlc notice for the brothers caravan
Churchy, just recently went through royal manticore lair, found for myself, heading right along the wall from the entrance takes you immediately to the Bag Location, and heading left along the wall takes you exactly to the entrance back out again. just food for next time mate - btw xD ! I really dig the slow mo battle at the end of video so epic man !
so this is still a good guide with the dlc? i wanna follow the guide but not if he does not have the dlc as thats the reason i might play the game again/start over - for the dlc
new sub here! love this game, gonna get baked and watch this. start a new run! haven't played outward since the new dlc came out. excited to fuck with it later
Great tutorial while each time I was creating a new character I was spending 7-8 in game weeks to farm blue sand .... EDIT : Only in Levan the selling price is 900 while in other places it will be 750 only ! Farming Shell Horrors is a good way to craft Great Horror weapons and sell those for a very good price
Very cool guide. Seems like the definitive edition added corrupted fumes to the cabal wind temple... Guess they don't want us to get overpowered gear early
Not to mention with the horror chitin you get from the wind temple can be used to make horror weapons all you need to do is turn any iron weapon into a Fang weapon and a Fang weapon into horror only need is a Palladium scrap which is easily seen in more common in the later Maps and an occult fragment horror pins are strong and they sell for the exact amount as the dreamer halberd in other high selling weapons that are shown in this video good way to make money
This is the guide I wish I had when I started Outward a week ago! I finally realized I was not doing it right, so of course turned to YT. 😄 Thanks and I will check out your other vids. Subbed!👍😎 The trickiest part for me is deciding what's worth keeping or leaving. this helps! I have the Nomad 50 Backpack. I wish there was a 500 weight limit backpack! 🙄 🤷♂️
Well it's kinda the same as playing games and remembering the controls. He done it so much that he just remembered it. You could make a character just to do the run and do it again and again until you remember it without the help of a video.
Great video. Very helpful tho haven't attempted the run yet. Have started a good amount of playthroughs and realizing how hard this game is. But my question is you cam do all this before talking to the guy on the beach and the moon light sword girl that kicks off the first quest right?
Perfect guide, you could add the Mefino's backpack at the end (when looted the coils from the Levant Lab). Do you have any guides for other ingame dungeons?
I know I’m late but I got a question: Are there any spots in the game where you can leave/store your stuff? I made the mistake of leaving all of my silver + some stuff in a Junk Pile and lost all of it.
If you leave anything in a city like cierzo or berg any big ones it stays there and if you get some money left over then you can buy a house and it contains a chest inside they're usually 300 to 500 silver per house so not too bad but if you are going to join a faction I probably would not buy cierzos house because it gets destroyed unless you save it
I just dropped it in the middle of the city and it stays there but don't put it in a junk pile or random chest because I think they reset every 7 in game days or something like that I'm still new too so I'm not too informed

Comparing an exploit to poorly thought out potion prices are not the same. Glitches/cheats break item continuity, make no sense in the game world; potions being worth more than their constituent parts is not comparable. Claiming otherwise is ridiculous on it's face.
Why not just fix broken gameplay, not pearl clutch about some players getting achievements in a way, god forbid, *THE DEVS DIDN'T INTEND*
I've played the game for 3 hours after having it on my wishlist for months, unfortunately I can not get a refund.
@@enclave2k1 yea just reduce the potion count but keep the silver and value of potions. If you want 150 silver plus all the towns silver, it should be doable in a few hours of playing. 4 in game days for the 150, and a week or so for the whole towns silver. However that works out for in game exchange
Thank you so much for this. I gave the video a like before it even finished.
Awesome and fun guide, thanks Churchy! I love that you take us through a tour around the main game and, after all of that, we're barely scratching the surface of what this game has to offer. I'll make sure to use this on my next playthrough.
Thank you very much for this video. It must have taken you a long time to learn all this. :)
you are a natural at making the best guides. i hope you play every game i play forever. thank you
Thanks for the content! Im a new player and this gave me a sense of direction when I felt lost. TY!
Mind you: If you die at any point in this very long and convoluted journey, especially in the harder areas, it will dump you into some random dungeon somewhere in the region you are in, probably with enemies that will murder you.
Yep, I ended up at the fortress… game over
Thank you for your content its relatively fresh uploads to youtube I only restarted playing outward It was in my library and I got a dlc notice for the brothers caravan
Spectacular video.
Excellent guide! Helped me a lot! Cheers mate :)
This is really excellent - very well done. Thank you!
Really enjoyed the guide and I can see the effort you put it!
Keep it up Churchy.
And you forgot to eat a bandage
Just picked this up. Outstanding vid!!
Don't forget to loot the ornate chest in the Voltaic Hatchery, which is close to where the lexicon is.
there’s like 4 lightning guys beside it and if i go near i’m dead so rip me
great vid man, a few items and areas that i havent been to that'll help for sure especially with getting a new char ready for the new content
Good job
Thanks a lot for your Videos appreciate the good work mate ❤
I just found out about this game and I plan on getting it by the end of the month can't wait
I did a full magic character on my first run through the game, think I'll do this tutorial. Thanks and great video.
I have been looking for something like this 😭 thank you so much!
Churchy, just recently went through royal manticore lair, found for myself, heading right along the wall from the entrance takes you immediately to the Bag Location, and heading left along the wall takes you exactly to the entrance back out again. just food for next time mate
- btw xD ! I really dig the slow mo battle at the end of video so epic man !
Nice for beginner in dlc.i just start 3 bros.same all loots in my way haha..now i got horror sword and zhar bagpack
so this is still a good guide with the dlc? i wanna follow the guide but not if he does not have the dlc as thats the reason i might play the game again/start over - for the dlc
I am literally following this to a T and feel so strong ty fam.
new sub here! love this game, gonna get baked and watch this. start a new run! haven't played outward since the new dlc came out. excited to fuck with it later
2 blue sand from fishing spots very nice
Great tutorial while each time I was creating a new character I was spending 7-8 in game weeks to farm blue sand .... EDIT : Only in Levan the selling price is 900 while in other places it will be 750 only ! Farming Shell Horrors is a good way to craft Great Horror weapons and sell those for a very good price
Slow mode fight scene at the end is cool
Very cool guide. Seems like the definitive edition added corrupted fumes to the cabal wind temple... Guess they don't want us to get overpowered gear early
Hey thanks for the guide it was very well put together
Oookaayy that was a very interesting guide and quite helpful
bro i bought this game like 3 days ago and i really needed this then lmao
I took the cracked version 🤣
Thank you so much this helped me a lot
Lmao @ the shark chasing you across the whole desert 🤣
remember to talk to burac first before going outside to get the tribal favor or you cant get the skill
that shark chase is so hilarious...xD
It always amazes me how people figure this stuff out to such ease without any in-game quest line or the like. crazy.
This is the best guide I've ever seen can't wait to start the grind thank you for your help
Amazing video!!
If you name your new character "Code Sonic" you run insanely fast!!
You make this look mad easy
Cool vid dude, appreciate it.
Moooore outward
I noticed that you had made and switched to leather attire, and made your great axe into the fang version, but without noting on it in the video
Good work, carry on.
love your ourward vids
This is the guide I wish I had when I started Outward a week ago! I finally realized I was not doing it right, so of course turned to YT. 😄 Thanks and I will check out your other vids. Subbed!👍😎
The trickiest part for me is deciding what's worth keeping or leaving. this helps! I have the Nomad 50 Backpack. I wish there was a 500 weight limit backpack! 🙄 🤷♂️
This is the best video for any game to learn exactly how to get off to the best start,, I still look at this months into the game for places to go
Thank you for the guide
I'm very interested in this game, considering buying it with all DLC's.
But i see people saying it's better with a friend.
Get the cracked version from fit girl repack. And if y wanna play duel let me know
This rpg is really difficult for me, never played a game like this before!
Damn, what a guide. How are you able to memorize all the levers and pathing? Also, you are too chill with all those enemies on your ass lol. GG!
Well it's kinda the same as playing games and remembering the controls. He done it so much that he just remembered it. You could make a character just to do the run and do it again and again until you remember it without the help of a video.
@@KanekiKen-fc3qo yah practice makes u perfect. At first i used to get goosebumps when ever an enemy popped up before me.
Great video. Very helpful tho haven't attempted the run yet. Have started a good amount of playthroughs and realizing how hard this game is.
But my question is you cam do all this before talking to the guy on the beach and the moon light sword girl that kicks off the first quest right?
Use split screen mode as a storage keeper, because freaking keeping items in storage will massively lag your PC, I think it still does today.
Thanx for your effort.
You want to make an updated vid for this for the definitive edition?
oh god,i miss playing this game, sadly my pc broke down, can't play game no more saving up for upgrade
Perfect guide, you could add the Mefino's backpack at the end (when looted the coils from the Levant Lab). Do you have any guides for other ingame dungeons?
So useful
Dumb question, how do you keep track of your character in the map? It's confusing asf
@@deganmarshall2103 Thanks a lot for the info. The game is a lot more time consuming than I thought it would be so losing stuff is a bummer.
@@Burrito_AM ya I get that I just pumped 20 hours in the game when I started and then I got killed and trapped by bandits and the feeling was terrible but I got them back from a chest they had still gave me a heart attack though
@@Burrito_AM once you get going you gain more silver though and become better and get things easier but at the beginning everything is supposed to kill you and I think that's why the video just walked by everyone instead of fighting
This is great
boy that fight with the pirate skeleton sure didn't go like that for me.
Soroborean at Cierzo sells the gems for cheap enough if you wanna skip this battle
@@L3git989 i'm gonna have to, he wasted me twice in a row so i lost the weapon enhancements. none of my axe attacks were able to stunlock him as shown in the video, he just attacked me right through my swings and killed me in like two hits.
To avoid fighting him I set up 8 iron spikes tripwire traps hit him from stealth and lured him into traps.
im pretty new and did this full run in HC and was insane thanks for this
Got master trader boots in the immaculate cave chest!! 7.6% drop chance
is this still possible to do or have some things changed?
Great video👍. Im starting my second run eith a new character and will be playing both dlcs for the first time. Do you suggest the soroboreans faction? Also does it matter when you go to harmattan if I choose the soroboreans faction? Cheers on the great content.
So what's the best build in the game overall these days? Seen that a lot of the build videos you made a year ago were nerfed.
I use pistols and traps. A wear light armors. Shot and run them into the traps
Overall it’s Hex mage/ Cabal Hermit/ Speedster as far as breakthroughs go. I could go into detail on other really OP builds but I won’t hijack someone else’s video. Check out the wiki, or join the discord. look forward anything by myself or Churchy, can’t go wrong 👍🏼
I died like a pleb in the manticore lair is there a way to get the emerald back?
Go there again. Hopefully it won't glitch
I used this as an endgame checklist of things to do lol
why does your greataxe look so cool? is that a mod or something?
No mods, I'm on PC and my graphics are max/close to max though, that might be why but not 100% sure
@@ChurchyPlays figured it out, youre using the fang great axe
Aaaah right haha
In the Spire of Light, is it safe enough on the very top floor to throw down your sleeping bag and rest without guarding, or no?
Trying to follow this guide and the great axe attacks so slow that the enemies normally just smack me right after i hit them and i die... died twice trying to fight the pirate captain.
Should a first time player do this? Or will it ruin the experience?
How much does this change in Definitive Edition?
here i am stuck in the levant without shit lol. I guess ill start again and try this. The game is really fun.
is this with the dlc or not with dlc?
No DLC required for this one
Im gnne make this Run tomorrow.
Assuming bye the comments, you need to be high to do this.
Im from the Netherlands so thats no issue. Mehe
go to the pirate cave
* *gets two tapped by the ghost pirate* *
well, fuck
I did not get offered this skill only a 2 hand sword one but I got an axe, did I do something wrong?
I'd love to see a progression gudie, and with the new release, new content no? Cheers for the upload / guide. Helped heaps.
Will make my way back to the starting area and clear it all area to area i guess.
@Churchy how u run so fast?
your outward game looks way better than the usual graphics! what mods do you use?
No mods, just PC with max/close to max settings from memory.
