The funny thing is that Dr. Wily thought the Lead Bubbles were stupid and so didn’t give them an upgrade like he did for the other weapons. But _because_ he didn’t upgrade the Lead Bubbles it ended up being the hologram’s only weakness. 🤣

It's not stupid that you can only beat Doc Wily's hologram with Bubble Man's weapon, but it is stupid that you can run out of it and have no way to refill the meter even after you die, having to force yourself to go into a game over.

Funny fact about Toad Man: He originally shot normal rain, but when Wily took all of Cossack’s robots, he made it acid rain
3:53 Heat Man's weapon is actually incredibly stupid, because
1) Rock gets an entirely different weapon from the dude he got it from
2) The most basic pea shooter version of that weapon doesn't do jack shxt
3) You only get to shoot a fully charged shot twice per tank. That's bad fuel economy. Therefore, Atomic Fire is useless.

While they did exist, there is actually quite little historical evidence for knights using spiked ball flails. Pretty interesting topic actually.
I forgot to mention this a long time ago, but in the crappy low-framerate Mega Man 5 Mobile port, they actually made it so that you COULD use water wave in the air, but it just sorta plops straight to the ground as soon as you do, so it isn't a whole lot better lol.
That's still huge though. Most of the time when I'm frustrated about water wave not working is because I'm about to fall on top of an enemy and otherwise have a significant height advantage and I want to cover the space below me.
I still can't figure out if Rebound Striker beats Sheep Man because rubber resists electricity or because exercise is better than sleep...

8:25 Spark shot is definitely the stupidest in Episode 3. It's basically a worse ice slasher, especially since you can't pause the game, meaning you can't do anything until the shock affects go away! Ice slasher is infinitely better, because you can freeze someone in place, switch weapons, and then take them down with a different weapon.
You can't really jump over most stunned enemies either without higher ground. You just doom yourself to awkwardly stand in front of them whenever you use this weapon on someone.
Of course, you can just damageboost to get past them, but if you're committed to that you don't need the weapon in the first place
tbh Spark Shock is the worst weapon in the classic franchise. I can't think of any other weapon that's more useless. There's a few that are down in that territory but none are as bad.

MM3-Whaaa? No way! Top Spin is definitely the stupidest and worst in MM3 and arguably the whole damn series.
MM4-Its ring man's weapon. I refuse to accept any other answer. (Its because amphibians in some mythology are associated with bringing rain. Just thought you'd enjoy that little tidbit. 😉)

6:12 I actually agree with this one. If we were able to pause the game by the time we got out of that laser section, flash stopper would be a lot more useful. Unfortunately, I always forego the use of it until I get to Quick Man, and even then, it only eats up half his HP! Might as well go buster only at that point.

Mega Man 1: And to make matters worse, this weapon is altogether out classed by a weapon that shows up in a Game Boy game! It's the exact same ability, except you can dig up rocks from the ground!

Idea: The best weapon of each catagory: Best Projectile, Best Seeker, Best Boomerang, Best AoE Weapon, Best Shield, Best Wall Breaker/Bomb, Best Anti-Ground, Best Anti-Air, Best Physical Attack, Best Trick Weapon.
Would love to see Mega Man V (from the Game Boy) included in these lists. :-)

I'm not sure if you are aware of this, I've played Mega Man 8 at least once a year since it came out on the PS1. And I just realized it today when I was playing it, the dragon corpse laying on the ground in the beginning intro stage, it's probably a mega dragon from Mega Man 2. I don't know why my brain never put that together after all these years. I figure I would share sir.

There will be a boss called Blaze Man, and his weapon, the Space Blazer, will be so powerful that it rips a hole in spacetime and destroys the entire solar system using quantum wave energy. But that's not the stupidest weapon in Megaman 12! That honor goes to Surge Man's Power Surge, which causes your console to brick itself!

Surprised you had so many screen-nukes on your list here, even if Centaur Flash isn't even stopping time, it's just flashing and everything is still. I gotta say, though, it's bizarre how most of these are as perfectly related as they are, I never thought about how Blizzard Man or Flame Man drops Snowflake Pieces and Flame Bars, even though those are literally in their fights. It's kinda like how Chill Penguin's ice gun can be charged and the sled looks exactly like Penguin doing a goofy slide.

Flash Stopper and Spark Shot are not only stupid in concept, but stupid in gameplay.
The stupidest weapon in megaman is the turn off button. You can finish the whole game with just one movement.

I agree with the Super Arm, Time Stopper, and the Spark Shock bein' the stupidest weapon in their respective games, but I'm not sure about the rest. And what's funny is that those three weapons are also my least favorite in their respective games

Water Wave I say is still dumber in regards to Mega Man 5. The fact you can't ever fire it while in the air and the rather unimpressive water columns make it quite dumb.
1:13 this sounds like persona 5 style change of heart I was expecting a twist of sarcasm. like the past videos where thinking that _blank_ robot master is cool. but I like the change, it shows consideration and maturity. also has the audience feel more welcome when they do have an alternate point of view that disagrees with those stated in these videos.

X1: Look, I know his name is Boomerang Kuwanger and he gives you a boomerang but this weapon is stupid because Boomerang Kuwanger has a bunch of abilities that I would like way more.
X2: Crystal Hunter is a weapon I like a lot, but it is objectively stupid. Why does it encase enemies in crystal?
X3: Parasite bomb is incredibly stupid. Blast Hornet shoots bees at you. Where did this hyper-specific BS come from?
X4: Rising Fire seems dumb until you get the charge shot and realize that it is indeed a Shoryuken. However, most of X4's weapons are pretty smart, so Rising Fire is stuck as the dumbest in its game.
As for Zero's techniques, most of them are pretty smart except for Raijingeki. I know it's an electric move and Web Spider is an electricity guy, but the stab part of it is just weird.
X5: Dark Hold is Time Stopper but you can attack during it, which is stupid, but it's nowhere near as stupid as Flash Laser. Normally, being used by a boss makes a weapon okay, but Flash Laser is so stupid in both concept and execution that it is inevitably the dumbest one.
Meanwhile, Zero's dumbest weapon is Wave Shredder, since not only is it stupid that you'd create an afterimage to attack when using an image to attack is Twin Dream's whole thing, it also messes up the saber dash cancel forever because they decided to map it to dash+attack imstead of dash+special like Shippuuga.
X6: X's weapons in this game aren't very stupid for the most part, so this goes to Ground Dash for being slow as shit.
Sentsuizan is easily Zero's dumbest technique because you can do it on accident while on a rope and you'll fall to your death. That's stupid.
X7: This is Stupid Weapon Central, baybee!
X's dumbest weapon is Moving Wheel because it just doesn't work in 3D. It's tiny and slow. Bad. Bad designers.
Zero has his own version of the same thing which is even dumber because of how limited Zero's options are in 3d.
Also the Ray Gun is stupid. What purpose does this serve over a normal gun? Stupid.
X8: Shining Ray is awful and it doesn't even go that well with Optic Sunflower's light theme. It's a firework. Why is this here?
Enkoujin is really dumb because of how thin the sword is. It's just asking to get hit.
And the Ray Gun is stupid once again, this time because of the Spiral Magnum.

Mega Man 4, Dive Missile is the stupidest because it will circle around the enemy and never hit them, I know Mega Man 5 has the "stupidbird" meme, but the original stupid weapon is Dive MISS lol. Toad Man is doing a rain dance to summon water, makes sense.
Related but in Minus Infinity you can turn the enemies into Toads.

bubble led/lead is also well made of lead in a fluid state so I automatically assumed it was corrosive in the past. but knowing now that lead and mercury are not the same. yeah it's pretty dumb

Some feel like a streach (most time stop weapons.. Flashman's is kinda dumb) the black hole weapon is too useful to be dumb. I would have gone with concrete but honestly thats also surprisingly useful and fun. And the shields do have their uses though plantman's is still horrid. If anything im suprised megaman 7 and 8's buster upgrades didnt get a mention. I know they might be consideree items but the super arrow buster upgrade is just amazing so good or no i'd have mentioned them as not qualifying for being good. But eh its a nitpick. Nice list. That say chillman's weapon would be the dumbest as its insanely situational. oh yes. wait for them to walk on the obvious ice spikes. And i would defend Acid Rain from toadman because he was a literal weather control robot to help with crops and when wily reprogrammed him he was set to destroy those crops with, you guessed it. Acid rain. Its his theme. Plus its Toadman's only good spot. gotta spare him his best trait.

why does skull barrier die from one hit while skull man using it blocks all your shots until he moves
top spin is nice just like how mega man 2 works the most unconventional weapon is king in the final battle and in mega man 3's case it actually works well. looking at you mega man 9. as in the mega man 3 final boss using top spin you can kill the boss in less than 5 seconds vs search snake the next best takes at least 3x longer to use
top spin is NOT the weapon gamma is supposed weak against, gama ha no i-frames so if you use top spin and mash the button, it will count as multiple hits at once

by stupid do you mean like out there ambitious like how the black hole bomb should implode the entire stage and kill mega man every time it's used. or stupid as in who thought this weapon was a good design concept like flame blast which is not only bad. but has rare niche use cases and is not fun to use. like water balloon is the same idea and even lamer. but at least you can fire it twice as fast as the mega buster.

that is the one place mega man powered up actually did it better cause in that game you can play as the robot masters for challenge levels and guts man can pull the blocks out of the ground and stack them himself similar to the hammer in mario maker 2

So far I've seen only the latest two "stupidest" videos, and I'm convinced.. This YT creator deserves all the algorithm will give him from my subscribed account favor. Likes, yup. Subscription, you got it. Downloaded to watch later? eh, probably not-- but the Spiffing Brit says that doesn't matter to the stats.
This is an admirably refined brand. Reminds me of Did You Know Gaming or ... what's the one with the deeply researched material and bearded host? Given that the vids I'm putting my Likes on are all opinion pieces, that's high praise.
Just a few things I'm still figuring out:
1. Do you always mention Mr. Beast?
2. Why is the ninth Megaman without the numeral so beyond criticism that you cheekily skip past it?
3. Do the X titles not merit an honorable mention? Long videos as is, so no criticism implied.

Sorry man, but you got MM3 reversed. Spark Shock is the worst weapon in 3, because you can’t freeze an enemy with it and then still attack it. Top Spin is the stupidest weapon, because it’s glitchy and why does spinning in the air damage anything? Why do you even have to jump to spin? Top Man himself literally CAN’T jump!
