Even as a kid I thought Rolling Shield was hilarious. "What does the weapon you get from the Armadillo do?" ... "It, uhh... it shoots armadillos, sir."
Coincidently they made it the only Maverick weapon to harm Sigma's final form.

I think that armadillo's weapon is quite necessary in megaman x1. My biggest gripe against megaman franchise as far as the side scrolling platforms go is the small enemies that the shots fly right past. Weapons that roll on the ground will always be necessary for me.

For x4, I would say that Zero’s dumbest weapon would be the one from Slash Beast-that dashing slash attack.
It’s completely pointless as it cancels your forward movement and that’s not really that different from your regular standing slash, except for the smaller vertical hitbox it has. It’s a straight downgrade.
If it added to your mobility or shot a projectile, it would be cool, but as it is, it’s a riskier attack that doesn’t do appreciably more damage than a standard slash.
If you’re really good at dash cancels, it’s okay, but the standard slash is better.
Fun fact, yo-yos were invented as weapons.

Like, you're having a board meeting about the next Mega Man armory full of classic machine guns, rocket launchers, laser cannons, and so on, and some dunderhead said "BALL" and called it a day.
Doesn't invalidate its function *gameplay-wise*, but if you were to go up to some random person on the street and say to them "ball", they're not going to think about a weapon and instead think about how you're interrupting their coffee break.

the splash laser I would argue that is an hyper-pressured stream of water used to do precision cuts, which is colloquially called a water laser. so not stupid, just not quite precise with the naming

Zero uses a different weapon when you use Rakukojin, and if you have ammo, it explodes and creates a Metal Anchor: this means that the likely explanation is that the saber either transforms or contains a Metal Anchor and Zero can infinitely summon ones with Metal Anchor until he runs out of ammo and just summons the weapon itself
While I'd still argue Fire Wave as being the worst from X1; to be fair the charged shot is not conceptually dumb. Heck, they made a separate fire weapon that's basically the charged version without the non-charged shots.
So yeah, Rolling Shield with its non-charged shots is dumb; specifically because of you firing shields away from yourself not to push the enemy away or to stop an incoming attack sooner. Not to mention the idea of the non-charged shots even needing to roll is also dumb.
I am pretty sure the rolling shield based on the shots armadillo can shoot from his forehead gun
In real life bomb squads offen use compressed gases to freeze the electronics in the device. Lots of real world uses for freeze weapons.
yeah, i have to hard disagree on many of his choices, for x2, the stupidest has to be the bubbles. while in x3, even though its my most disliked weapon in that game, the drills, are drills, they are also missile, so its like the coolest idea for a weapon, a drill missile. on the other hand, the crawfish is just dumb and doesnt even make any sense when we look at him.
for x4, it also has to be the shaver, its not just useless on almost every angle (its a little sperm you shoot down) but the frost wall actually makes sense, you are making a wall of ice, and it's something you would see in many games as a defensive spell.
Okay, I don't know if you got the post earlier, but if don't. In X8 there is a Glitch with his Air-Spinning Attack:
If you hold UP together with DOWN, you fly up (it's a glitch only working on Keyboard or on a controller where you can press UP and DOWN simultaneously. (Last Played on the PC Version. So maybe it's fixed on the collection

What’s the background music you’re using in the intro? You use it for several other videos but I can’t quite remember which megaman x song it is
So gravity beetles weapon you have said many times only works on weak enemies, but this is not true. It only works on enemies that aren't connected to the ground. IE enemies that are flying or suspended in water. It essentially makes them fight against the pull to the ground or up and away. If they are attached to the ground this weapon doesn't affect them. Also I recommend hitting the attack button at least once when you are on the ceiling as Zero so you can see what that weapon actually does.
Though the original name of the weapon you got from Launch Octopard is stupid due to not paying attention to the typo: "Horming Torpedo". XD

In Megaman X4 I think the stupidest weapon is jet stingrays and for zero it's the one slash Beast gives you it's pretty much useless

Also your reasoning for zero's ice weapon in x4 is applicable to all weapons. X's normal weapon shoots plasma shots which I'm pretty sure is more dangerous than a real gun. And to replace that with boomerangs and bubbles, meh. Also when you think about zero's laser sword and that a lazer is actually just a very high heat concentrated in a specific target location, the fire sword from dragoon is also a downgrade.

you seriously think that trapping enemies in crystal is more dumb than shooting bubbles like a kid?
I must say I'm really amused that the footage went from perfect speedrun strats for MM games to barely able to play for MMX. I know most of the time it's just to show off the weapon's strength or lack of of usefulness, but it's realy jarring to see you stuck in random places getting damaged constantly.

In Maverick Hunter X, they already gave the Rolling Shield the ability to easily destroy Mets and the shield of the charged shot can now absorb projectiles.

Anyway, this was a video that was hard to do. But how is having a drill hand stupid? Having a pretend blackhole that doesnt' even do gravity stuff and is useless is stupid. I know you want to avoid having the stupidest and the worst as the same one, but, well, this was the exception imo.
Dang, having a spider web would be not stupid if the weapon worked like it should to trap things, but I mean, it creates a platform which isn't stupid I think either.
