Also one thing to note is that when you gather 10 Science in the neolithic era (very beginning) you can choose a permanent bonus to science, wealth or production which you don't wanna miss out on
Extra fun fact during the neolithic era the best strat for claiming as many stars as you can is to set your units to auto-explore. The reason is because the AI for it sees through the fog of war and directs your units to bee line for any resources that you pick up when walking over them whether you can see them or not.
I needed a new strategy game in my life but I’ll be honest - even on the tutorial play through, I have no idea wtf I’m doing still. This game is overwhelming at the moment tbh
same
Yet people complain it lack of depths and content

Don't worry man it gets easier I promise. I remember feeling that way when I started playing civ 4. If you stick to it and just accept you will lose to the ai you will pick it up. It's all about learning from your last game and what you can do better next time.
@@hatake4295 . MM Mmmmm mm.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. The game can be overwhelming to say the least as I have never played this type. I am in the ancient era and even though I am hunting, I need to create more farmers quarters as my food is at a -1 lol.
how do you check what your food and stuff is?
Hypeeeeee been waiting for this game. These guys make awesome games
I just played it for 1 hour and could already tell it could rival CIV. Cant wait to play it after I woke up tomorrow!
exact same here, it captures the same feeling of playing civ but improves on literally everything it feels like
@@ToadStool125 I’ve had only a short amount of time with it but I’m loving it so far. Exactly the kind of game I needed to sink my teeth into.

I'm
Thanks for the help! I am overwhelmed. Never played this kind of game before and hopefully this helps. I tried the tutorials and was like "wth is he talking about???" LOL
Want to try Humankind out… also don’t want to lose my social life…
it's on game pass so you can try it for almost free.
So that's what industry squares do. I hadn't been placing them because I saw no obvious reason but would explain why the same was so slow
Excellent!
now that's a title
The auto resolve system is not that great right now. It's more random then "You have more, so you obviously win" I just had a moment of my units equaled to 250 str, to their 50, and the "Your side is stronger overall" Covered more than 90%......Yet I magically lost.
Yeah, especially in the beginning against deer for example I've found that auto resolve usually damages my unit to 50% health whereas doing it manually it only goes to roughly 75% health
Are there any games with a sensible-seeming auto-resolve?
@@Dem0nHamster weird way to look at it, when its a mechanic telling you that your supposed to win and it just fucks you over lol
it was the same way in endless legend tbh. manual battle is more consistent and usually means winning with less casualties, but its tedious to go through every battle. especially if i'm playing with friends and we're just trying to get through the turns. i usually just auto resolve and accept that theres some dumb luck involved.
I always auto deer. I think terrain will affect it though but terrain doesnt show on the comparison so be careful.
Being able to play as Romans is pretty cool
Is it on console as well
First game three of the a.I declared war on me at the same time
Lol I played with my friends, i only had 4 troops after 4 hours we only got to turn 50
can you give my idea for them?
can we have land reconstruction.. like normal plain become hill or from hill become normal plain or normal plain become shore/beach/river after you advanced certain tech/civ that cost significant production and food.
i was hoping civ 6 have this function because why not? just make it expensive for building purpose/world wonder.
"terraforming" is the word usually used for that kind of mechanic in games
@@Dem0nHamster ah yes.. that the word..
it was on my tongue but i cant say the word lol
10 tips on how to spedrun humanity
how do you reveal the ? marks in the game?
They are resources that you don't have the technology to work with yet
Op
I kinda wanted to play this. But I'm doomed to computers from 1993 or less. Can't keep up with loading everything.
Rome total war mixed with empire earth
You sound like ESO
The title really reads like a TierZoo video
Hah!
Glad you got it for free, I wish they would have not delayed the Mac version and I could be playing the game I PAYED for.
A good lesson on why pre-purchasing ANYTHING is a bad idea
@@stryker0ae 9/10 agree which is why I usually don’t preorder things.
Free on game pass
@@isiyami is it playable through the cloud? If not the issue is the pc I have isn’t very good, however the MacBook Pro I have is, which is why I’m bummed it got delayed for Mac.
hi
all the people who claim to have researched the entire tree and nuked everyone by turn 5.
I've played Civ and previous Amplitude Studios games and I still can't tell wtf is going on even with the tutorial. The starting game is confusing as hell.
this really is bare bones tips, these are the tips the game tutorial explains if your willing to read, only real tip here might be to split early scouts up but im not sure you even need to, i don't think this video is good enough to qualify as real tips tbh, for one you must upgrade your city the game quite literally doesn't work until you do so you cant miss this, you will just not have resources, better tips would be what resources are most important for a start like is it better to not lose citizens? which happens with too low of food or just try for higher industry etc. another one would be which early research to focus down first depending on chosen civ and play style etc. sigh... big content makers can get lazy ?
*you're
@@Derek147900 Game is great, only chads play strategy games.
@@Derek147900 um no i just think he could have done more meaningful content here, the game is actually very nice
A lot of this is rather obsolete information as it's taught very early in to the game. Tips shouldn't be what's already in the tutorial.
Dude, researching new technology is not a tip, because you cannot proceed without an active research.
:cat:
NKMK
Bhai mera visheshta hai kar do main Tumhara Kya Hai
This video has a hefty amount of dislikes huh
Look more polished than CIV but pretty much the same game?
is this civilization?
No it's Patrick
These aren't tips, they're literally just mechanics on how the game works. That's like saying a tip in soccer is to get the ball in the net.
What do you mean by "If you never really played games like this before which I havent really"? Were you in a nuclear shelter for the last 20 years? Thats the only possibility.
10 minutes 23 second video... now I know why you spend the first 1 1/2 minutes talking about absolutely nothing
These videos are pure gold put some respecc on arekkz
nowadays it is 8 minutes so it doesn't matter
The intro to this video is 2 minutes long...
Stupid politically correct title.
What
what are you talking about?
It's called humankind how the fuck is it politically correct
Fucking lmao. I really hope this is a bad troll attempt, not a sincere opinion.
