What voltage/current is needed to light up a square for example 10 x 10 inches ? Please share more Life Spans & Electrical Requirements details or examples. Very interesting product !
Tio Dave, I don't think he was asking that. I imagine he wants to know the service life of the powered product. And that is an interesting question no one ever seems to address clearly within this company. I know for a fact that the "do it yourself" kits sold for screen printing electroluminescents are only 1000 hours. But I can't imagine that LumiLor would sell said product if those numbers where even remotely close to those. I know for a fact that I have had typical electroluminescent wires in my vehicle for over 2 years now and run them almost every time I ride down the road. With that being said, the only areas I have noticed a failure, was in points of flex and also from high sun exposure. From what I gather, UV rays are no good for the life of EL products. But underneath paint, the way these guys do it, that probably isn't as much a concern.
I hear ya. I have the same problem sometimes reading comments. Out of context without expression or emotion like in real life, there are several ways to take whats wrote on here.
Weasel words all over the place. No mention of the cost means you can't afford it. No mention of longevity means that it doesn't last long. Professional application only means you can't use it. This is pure vaporware and only years will tell us if this is something even remotely worthwhile. For now, pioneers get all the arrows and they're not disclosing enough information for reasonable choices to be made. You have to wonder what the catch or catches are.
Reminds me of when I shine a blacklight around my room after a steamy night with the waifu XD
This would be awesome for custom PC lighting
my first thought too
totally. 100% agree. I am definitely going to be trying to get my hands on some of this stuff
If we can dream it and believe it, we can achieve it!
I bet you Oregon Ducks men's football team will be the first to use this on their uniforms.GO DUCKS!
That is really cool. Wonder what it would cost per square foot for doing like a wall or a ceiling. Electric paint, that's just crazy.
I read it is like three hundred per quart, but if you go to the website they will ship you out a free sample but I'm not sure how much.
