Hey Sasha love your video very cool made awesome cards 🎉🎉 here’s an idea if you line the pan with a layer of white vinyl it will be easier to see and if it gets dirty and stained…pull it off and put afresh one on😉 big hugs from Canada 🤗been watching you since the save the crafty UA-camr hop…that darn wine lol💕💕💕💕
Hi Sasha, I’m binge-watching you this weekend, all the way to the beginning. Thank you for being so adventurous to show us what works best. “I don’t want to buy anymore,” how many times do all crafters say that????? TYFS.
WOW....... Gorgeous, Gorgeous, cards!!!! 🤗 You are so much braver than I am, playing with alcohol inks. Lol I would have them everywhere. 😂😂 Really LOVE those pinky - purple cards, Beautiful colors! Thank you Sasha. Blessings My Sweet Friend
Hi. Thank you so much for sharing your outstanding cards, they look amazing. Great video as usual although I miss your old description for making mud/brown colours, lol. Have a fabulous start to your week.😊
Awesome effect, Sasha! I love the holographic/metallic shine behind the alcohol inked acetate. I don't know how you would get a circular or other non-square/rectangle frame, but I can give a tip for getting square & rectangle frames. Cut a panel the size of the outer dimensions of your frame. On the back, measure & mark with a pencil how wide you want the frame. For instance, if you want a 1/4" wide frame, mark lines 1/4" from each outer edge of your panel. Make sure you intersect the lines you draw at each corner, so you can see where to stop & start your cuts. Line a ruler (I highly recommend a non-slip metal ruler for this) up against your lines, & cut along each line/ruler edge with a craft knife. (If you have a trimmer with a sliding cutter head, like Fiskars wire guide ones, you could probably use that, too, & just stop where your lines intersect. I've never tried it that way, though, so I can't guarantee results.) That will cut out the inner part of your panel, & leave you with a nice frame. I do this mostly when I want to "gut" a panel to save the inner bit if I'm using the panel for a mat, & it works like a charm, as long as you're careful with your knife. Anyway, hope that all makes sense! Thank you for sharing your technique. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)
Just rewatched this on my computer to double check the steps. I did comment on my phone but we were away and so it was short . Pearlized alcohol inks don't work for alcohol lifting through stencils either. I love this idea and am just going to try it now! Thanks!!!!!
So beautiful! Can’t wait to try this! Just FYI.. Tim Holtz was very clear, and repetitive, in a video I once watched that the alcohol pearls, because of their chemical composition do NOT play well with alcohol, rather the blending solution is what works with them! I had never heard that before. Since learning that, I have never had a problem with them, using blending solution… and they are super pretty! 🧑🏼🎨
Beautiful effects from the inks and I must have a go, as I have two birthdays approaching rapidly, but no clue, till now, for something lovely. A word of advice, from learning the hard way - if you don't have gloves, don't wear nail polish. The inks will destroy it! Mine was just a home-job, no big deal. If I'd had an expensive salon manicure - I'm sure you don't need to know the language that would have been flying around...
Hope you do it's so easy! I'll be in Calgary in 2.5 weeks! Im heading home to see my mom again, landing in calgary grabbing a rental car and making my way to St Albert
I love this idea! Just looked up alcohol inks on Canadian Amazon. Loads to choose from and not overly expensive. Haven’t priced the plastic sheets. Always love your creations! Happy Mother’s Day from Canada. 😊❤️🇨🇦
Yep, they really can be reasonable in price if you're happy to get the cheap versions! not everything has to cost loads :) Thank you so much for the Mothers day, UK celebrated about 2 months ago, but i must remember to message my mom tomorrow!(thank you for the reminder!)
Your artwork is beautiful and thank you for the suggestions in the ideas what you gave me for the day I am Joanne from Price Utah thank you we do pugs and Claws pet grooming and boarding in price
Lovely cards! Like how the acetate traps the alcohol ink behind too. The mirror card is pretty slick. Have you tried inking it directly? I’ve faked alcohol pearl inks by using comic shimmer metallic paste on regular card and then inking with plain alcohol ink above.
Sasha, did you know you can make alcohol inks by pulling the insert out of an alcohol marker (cheap Crayola) And set in a small container of alcohol? It works well. Gorgeous cards!
i tried that once and i got really weak colour so i didnt find it was brilliant for what i wanted to do. Maybe i didnt get the right kind of cheap pens?
@@SashaReade put the duds in because they inform us and keep us from having to go down that path. I pulled out my Ranger Alcohol inks and all the other materials you use in this video but my ink did not flow like yours even though I used a flowing agent and alcohol to try to get the rounded cells instead I got muddy looking octopus tentacles. Perhaps the ink that I used was too saturated in color/opaque?
Wow you have made some gorgeous cards there... I love the cheaper alcohol inks... never bought any cos too expensive so I might just get these! Thank you so much for a very interesting and informative tutorial... it really was 😊❤
I have yet to start messing around with alcohol inks and this excites me that if all else fails, this will satisfy as a great project to be sure to have something nice to come from it as I practice learning working with the alcohol inks. Thanks for sharing! Gorgeous cards, as always!
100% it works so well and you cant go wrong- unless you use colours that make brown together. i really have no experience or talent with alcohol inks, so this really can work for all ages and stages of crafter
Hi Sasha where do I find your details... do you have an email address? How do you turn dollars into pounds... been into Trinity and would like to get some things... please help 😊

I may try embossing foil card then put the alcohol inks on the foil card and eliminate the acetate. Thanks for the inspiration!
That is soooo beautiful🤩😍 Cannot wait to try it myself😊
I really hope you do, it's so quick and easy

If you don’t have alcohol inks, but you’ve got alcohol markers then this could work with them and a spritz of alcohol to keep it fluid for blowing
oh you are a clever cookie Bernadette! That could really work well! Thank you for sharing
@@SashaReade thank you. I think Sharpies could be the best option price wise x
I wonder what it would look like if... After you have a finished piece if you would spritz some alcohol on it ?????
i think it would just make it run and bleed a bit more?
I made a mistake. I told you this didn’t sound like you, but, lol, different, Sasha.
Ha ha, not to worry, there's quite a few out there! Hope you dont mind this voice too much and stick around for more of my videos :)
Fantastic ideas. Love the strips. If you keep the negative you could use them for placement of your stamps. Thank you for sharing Sasha. X
Fantastic work. Love this technique.
Lovely cards! Like how the acetate traps the alcohol ink behind too. The mirror card is pretty slick. Have you tried inking it directly? I’ve faked alcohol pearl inks by using comic shimmer metallic paste on regular card and then inking with plain alcohol ink above.
This doesn’t sound like you, different voice
Really cool look. What did you prefer the look of to back the acetate the gold or silver metallic card? On screen the silver seemed to show better.
They are lovely Sasha! You do make me laugh, floral twiggy things! They should definitely be called that! Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Honestly i forget my words all the time when doing a voice over. You've got to think fast and often my brain does a runner ha ha
I love these they look holographic

Really fun technique- thanks so much for sharing. Am def. going to trying this out. I think I see some Thanksgiving cards in the future.
Thank you Kerrie, and yes they'd be lovely for any occasion because you could use any embossing folder behind
This is an awesome technique. Those cards are just beautiful.
Thank you Roxanne, hope you have a go, they are really quite simple
What a great idea - thank you! 😃 The last card is my favourite too, even though that alcohol ink background started off as my least favourite.
Thank you so much Louise, i had such fun making these
That is the coolest technique! I LOVE the look, thanks Sasha!
Thank you so much Meg. Hope you give it a go
They are all fabulous! My favorite is the gren purple red blobs with the one whiteflower. :)
yes i think that's my fave as well! Thank you for watching Melissa
Beautiful cards 🤗😍
These are absolutely gorgeous, Sasha!!
Thank you so much Misti
Gorgeous. TY
Stunning Sasha
I love this technique.
Such a nice look.
It really works well! And it's not hard to do at all
I learned from your successes as well as from the techniques that were not your favorite outcome. Thank you!

@@SashaReade put the duds in because they inform us and keep us from having to go down that path.
