i thought i had to make some cards up the instant i was done playing. Then it gives everyone some ideas of how fun coloured foil card is to create with
Hi. Oh my goodness, I can't believe how superbly this turned out! I wish I had some alcohol ink but after splashing out on some alcohol pens I just can't stretch to them this near to Christmas....I wonder if I could cheekily add some to my Christmas wish list. 😂 You have packed so much good stuff into this video, thank you for sharing it.
honestly if you buy the cheap version of inks for resin making they work just as good! I paid £10 for my set, couldnt be happier. I dont have the Ranger ones to compare too, but these are good enough for me
Wow, just Wowza, what a great idea! 😀 It was really, really helpful to see what you did with these panels as well. Interesting how some of the inks left a powdery layer. Reminds me of Distress Oxides on photo paper, they do the same thing leaving s powdery layer. So many beautiful cards!! 🧑🏼🎨💕👍🏻
ha ha that's so funny, ive actually had so many people saying they liked it. It's on it's way to my mom now as she asked for it and it's her birthday this week!
Hi Sasha. You absolutely ROCKED this video. I love ALL the cards. The nuvo card is creatively fun and cheery - consider keeping it as is. My absolute favourite is the one that you cut out the three "leaves" with different colours. All however are FABULOUS. Your geniusness was definitely on overdrive. Love, love, love. TFS. 💜🤗💞😍🌟💃
ha ha yes, i still have more ideas, my mind was just on overdrive being so excited to create loads of colourful shinny projects. Thank you for watching
Wow, how effective is this technique, I love it. Thanks for sharing Sasha, I to have loads of silver mirri card, guess what i'm going to do lol. Take care.
Wow these are some fantastic backgrounds you created. I loved all of them but I really liked the single stem leaves you die cut. Thanks Sasha, have a fantastic week.
Wow! I love this technique. I live out in the sticks somewhat and the only mirror card I can easily get is silver and gold. Just the ones I need to do this. Like you I will probably go mad making all sorts of colours and patterns. Thank you for your video and for the lovely way you present what you do. Never lose your enjoyment and I look forward to your next video. By the way, I wouldn't change any of the cards you have made. As Mary Wagner says, just make another simpler version!
I am so glad I found your video. I was going to get rid of my alcohol inks as I wasn't having any luck making card fronts that I liked. Now I'm going to make solid color card fronts using my foil cardstock. I can now have beautiful cardstock to use for due cuts. Thank you!!!
yay! that's great news, did you see my video with using photo paper? Might give you more inspiration and help with them. I struggle with them too a bit ua-cam.com/video/amIQ7GDGM1I/v-deo.html
Wow, What an amazing technique! I would've never even thought to try something like that. You always amaze me Sasha. Absolutely Beautiful cards. Thank you so much for sharing. Blessings
That is so interesting I have some alcohol inks and I have some mirror card stock and I don’t care for it it’ll be fun to try to change the colors thank you for sharing and I’m glad you’re feeling better
Are you kidding me Sasha? This is a wonderful idea (hack) love it. Will definitely be giving this a go. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us.
Wow, how fun! And everything turned out amazingly. Maybe the heart card only needs a metallic thin strip through the center, from end to end of the card. It's simply beautiful too.
I noticed you didn’t use any blending solution or alcohol on your paper. Can you use that on the cardstock you used to prevent the ink from separating. They all still look great!
Actually sitting here sorting out foiled card and satin card to see what colours I have. Looks like i'll have to do some of these as i've just bought some silver that I thought I needed from B&M, beautiful Sasha
I love your videos. So many great ideas and tips. I live in the US and so the cards I make are A2 size (5½x4¼inch). I'm looking for the stitched nested rectangle die from surprise creations that you mentioned. Thank you
Those are really nice. I have some sets of the Surprise Creations dies. I'm thinking of selling them. I don't use them much. Maybe if I started making larger cards.
I have done something similar using alcohol markers. I found the stronger colours worked best. I guess because they have less alcohol in? As always, enjoyed your video.
i have no idea, but as long as we have something that does the job it's fab isnt it ha ha. I wish i had more background knowledge with products, at least i like experiments :)
I thought your Nuvo drop card was really cute! Just wondering, after you use the embossing folder, could you add another color to the raised part with the makeup swab? (I get emboss/deboss mixed up, so playing it safe! lol)
Your favourite is my favourite too! However, I also love the nuvo drop one - don't change it, I think it's fun, especially for a youngster card - teenagers are hard to make cards for, I think! Based on one of your previous videos, I bought those same inks, so I must get them out! TFS, as always. How are you all doing now, following the loss of your father in law? Thinking of you all, Nicola xx
Hi Nicola, we're doing well thank you. It's a strange relief now that he's gone. It was hard watching my mother in law become so exhausted caring for him full time over the past 2 years, and these last few months were awful. So stressful with him declining so fast, and really hard seeing everyone else suffer as well having to see him suffer. thank you for the thoughts and love
oh that's strange, you can see how hard i rubbed mine and the colour was very much permanent. All my die cutting left all the colour in tact. We're you using alcohol based ink?
@@SashaReade thanks for the reply. I used Ranger/Tim Holtz Alcohol inks on holographic mirri card and silver miri card. But one fully dry rubbed off. I've also used Staz On inks to colour mirri card with no problems.
oh it's just a baking tray from the pound shop(same as dollar store). I normally use a glass cutting mat, but my daughter stole it and i found the baking tray is great because it has the edge to it to keep my mess in if i do more messy creating :)
Such wonderful ideas!
I honestly never would have thought to use alcohol ink on this type of card stock! But it turned out so beautifully! 😍
Thank you so much, honestly it was one of those lightbulb moments where i thought, there's got to be a way to make this colourful ha ha
Beautiful cards. Really surprised at gorgeous reveal of the cards at the end. So elegant.
i thought i had to make some cards up the instant i was done playing. Then it gives everyone some ideas of how fun coloured foil card is to create with
Love these cards. Thanks for a great idea!
what great ideas; love the card with just the stems - simple and beautiful
Thank you so much Cindy

awe, thank you so much Jean :)
I like that rainbow Happy Birthday card. Give it to someone along with a big bag of jelly beans! 😂
ha ha my mom has already said she wants it. It's her birthday next week so im going to have to send it to her!
Yes, very similar to the oxides, but i was so pleased, like those, i could just wipe away that layer and be left with a beautiful colour under it
Hello Sasha, I absolutely LOVE the nuvo drop card. It looks like a party just waiting to happen😊🥳

Too bad I didn’t see this earlier. Just attended an Expo show here in California and bought several packages of mirror card stock. Love this idea!
well now you can colour it whatever colour you want or need!
I noticed you didn’t use any blending solution or alcohol on your paper. Can you use that on the cardstock you used to prevent the ink from separating. They all still look great!

I love your videos. So many great ideas and tips. I live in the US and so the cards I make are A2 size (5½x4¼inch). I'm looking for the stitched nested rectangle die from surprise creations that you mentioned. Thank you
ive popped the link for their shop in my description box above, if you take a look at their square ones i think it's labeled as A2 possibly.
@@SashaReade I'll check, thank you
Those cards are beautiful! I never thought to use my shiny inserts like that. I tried stamping on them and it smudge and took the color off.
yes it's got to be alcohol for it to stick or you stamp and heat emboss to keep the colour on
Those are really nice. I have some sets of the Surprise Creations dies. I'm thinking of selling them. I don't use them much. Maybe if I started making larger cards.
i love their dies, i just cant believe i forgot about them. Their detailed embossing edges are the best ive ever used

@@SashaReade not a better idea, just an additional idea. you are so creative and so much fun to watch.

im not sure what you mean by flakes?
I like the Nuvo drops.

I've tried this myself in the past, but I found the the ink quite easily came of the foil, it anything rubbed over it.

yes though i found you get more streakiness with it and was harder to get just a smooth background :( frustrated me a bit
