You should re-upload your short Sam Raimi Spider-Man videos as compilation videos, maybe in 20-30ish minute long parts. Not only would they'd be easier to watch, but it would be a relatively easy way for you to fill gaps in between uploads of other longer videos.
the possibility of the movie videogame villains being canon, and why was spider-man in the super hero squad merchandise and promotional material but not the cartoon, left many a 2000s marvel fan kids pondering...
Marvel had the rights to release the toys, the toys came out before the show. Marvel didn’t have the right to put Spider-Man in their cartoons yet. I think there the case.
Spiderman's film and tv rights were still with Sony until 2012 when Disney got the cartoon rights for Spiderman after Spectacular Spider-Man ended, that's why he had toys and appeared in Super Hero Squad Online but not the show itself.
Another reason to back this up is with the games. Prior to Disney’s acquisition, Marvel owned the rights to the Spider-Man games, and while he wasn’t in the show, Spider-Man did appear in the Super Hero Squad games (With Josh Keaton voicing him in the two console games, while Yuri Lowenthal first voiced him in the online MMO game).
Another interesting thing is that some of those figures are based on concept art instead of finalized designs. Like kraven is based on his scrapped Spider-Man 2 look instead of his existing Spider-Man 1 or 3 appearance, and black cat is based on her cancelled Spider-Man 3 design instead of Spider-Man 2. And lizard is also his Spider-Man 2 design, but it was reused for the ps2/psp/wii ports for Spider-Man 3
1:49 as a diehard toybiz fan, i am certain that those figures were recycled from the spider-man classics line. one of them is the ultimate spider-man rhino, and the other is just a 616 shocker from that line.
Great Video, Dude. Favorite Superhero Squad Set GOTTA be that Peter vs Harry set. The New Goblin had no business looking that good and the unmasked Spidey is just always fun, as a toy or a display 😅
I find it funny that raimi wanted some of these villains in Spiderman 4. In earlier drafts, Lizard was going to be the main villain. Then raimi changed his mind and settled on Vulture, who cast john malkovitch. Even his costume was completed which you can find online.
Back with another stellar Raimi Spider-Man video! Love the added drawings!👍 I remember having a good amount of figures from the SM3 basic series. Me and my two brothers were addicted with them and getting as many from that line. This was where my Spider-Man figure collection reached an all-time high. Now most of them are gone. The only ones I still have and displayed are three Spidey's. One came with a car, one's Black-Suited, and the other is Midnight Stealth Spidey which I seen you mention in an older video. Almost makes me wish I kept at least one in box because that Spider-Man packaging will always be the most nostalgic to me.
Mysterio, Rhino, Vulture, Shocker and the other villains would've made good villains for more Sam Raimi sequels if Columbia and Avi Arad weren't greedy as hell and single-handedly murdered the series by sabotaging Spider-Man 3 risking the fourth movie to be canceled!
Great video. I loved the Raimi trilogy and I love seeing stuff about stuff from that world that is outside of the 3 movies like the games and action figures. Wish the video was a bit longer. Like maybe you showing off each figure individually and comparing them to the comic or cartoon versions
Puma is pretty popular to some comic book fans, I don't know the full run down but there was a writer change and he was the first new villain. so for a lot of spiderman fans hes there first villain. Im not one of those fans btw i had it explained to me.,
I think that the scorpion would be interesting in the rami movies idk just something about it that I like to think jjj makes the scorpion as like an anti spider man
I remember seeing the villain and Black Cat figures back in the day at Toys R' Us during the summer of '07. I grew up with the GBA Spider-Man 2, so I have a softspot for Puma (never collected the Squad figures though). Btw, I'm also from Arkansas.
I agree with the statement about Morbius. He hasnt been in much media outside of the comics. And now that he had a movie that did poorly (I thought it was good), everyone remembers Morbius for the movie and the memes.
Those Squad figurines were cool because we got almost basically every single thing from that time. Sets based on the Ultimate animated movies, the 616, a bunch of MCU ones from phase 1 and I remember Hasbro making Transformers ones with cool mini vehicle designs, it’s just a lot of nostalgia from that period where Transformers was big and the MCU was just starting🤣
Puma would actually be great for a Spider-Man media thing, specifically when Spider-Man saves his life and he tries to pay his debt by taking over The Daily Bugle and having them print heroic words for Spider-Man
I bought a bunch of those Spider-Man 3 basic figures in 2020, most of them were cheap but vulture set me back $120 and broke almost immediately so I had to glue it back together. I also need the Spider-Man 3 game version of scorpion since I think that’s the only one I need other than the more metallic version of rhino. At least I do have all of the Raimi characters in some figure form from that line
I’m sure the super hero squad Rhino and maybe Sandman are still buried in my old sandbox to this day lol. I also had the New Goblin and Green Goblin ones. Luckily they and the Spider-Men were never buried.
It would be cool to start seeing toy-only versions of various Sonic characters in the style of the movies, especially if Paramount have no plans to adapt certain characters/games at any point.
I almost brought myself for this, especially if they’ve ever done a live action series about them . But they’re nothing but dreams for Tobey Maguire spider .
That thumbnail was instant nostalgia. I remember having the symbiote spidey and kraven pack. I think I lost spidey at a beach, and kraven ended up in a tub of toys I never touched.
These villains didn't appear in the Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movie trilogy (2002-2007), but, some years later, finally appeared in the movies, in the other live-action Spider-Man movie franchise versions and also these villains appeared in the videogames...
Dude, I collect Super Hero Squad and it’s so cool you mentioned them! That Kraven and Spider-Man pack is extremely rare and was cancelled before it was released. I think he goes for something like $400 by himself
Amazing video, it's so nostalgic to see those figures again. I remember when I first saw all of them in the store and be like: wait, when did the Lizard or Black Cat appear in the movie 🗿
If you mean the ones at 1:48, then yes, they are 6 inch. Though rhino should be bigger. So imo, that rhino would look better with the 4 inch figures shown earlier. The 4 inch rhino is too small

Thanks for changing your demented avi, it was angering me for many month to year.

When I saw these villains in the first time when I was a kid I always expected to have Spider-Man 4 and add couple of those villains 😂😂😂😂
Needed my cream upload.
The way the MCU is right now you might finally get your wish
3:06 I had that set when I was 7 years old. I remember specifically removing Doc oc's arms from his body, being so shocked they were removeable.
Such nostalgia for the Spider-Man 3 figures. I was able to get them all but Vulture; weirdly enough the same thing happened with the Spectacular line.
1:49 as a diehard toybiz fan, i am certain that those figures were recycled from the spider-man classics line. one of them is the ultimate spider-man rhino, and the other is just a 616 shocker from that line.
Its the fact that they gave the villians their own designs if they were in the films.
Some of these figures would be collectors items in my collection just for sheer nostalgia alone. I miss the late 2000s era of spider-man 😭😭
i miss the late 2000’s era of everything :-(
I owned almost all those super hero squad figures as a kid, including the puma one lol Crazy hit of nostalgia
I love the super hero squad lineup, I had them all growing up except for the one with kraven
Great look for mysterio, always enjoyed the Alien look and personality he had.
Don’t forget Kraven The Hunter exclusive missions for Xbox version of Raimi’s Spider Man video game
Thanks for sharing! This takes me back to six years old!

I wonder if those would've been the finalised designs if they were ever in future possible movies
Cool video bro. I remember seeing all of these toys in stores back in 2007 I was like 4 years old back then. Man that’s was almost 20 years ago damn 😢
fun and fresh video idea. Props bro
I can confirm as a Canadian who grew up with the Raimi films the packaging said spiderman 3😂😂

Nice. Did you own any action figures for The Dark Knight Trilogy back in 2005-2012?
@@jimmym.8927 Did you own some of the action figures from The Dark Knight Trilogy?

I think that the scorpion would be interesting in the rami movies idk just something about it that I like to think jjj makes the scorpion as like an anti spider man
I had 30 something SHS figures when I was a kid, my favorite figure was Iceman but I had an Ultimate Giant Man that was cool
Finally someone who talked about this
I remember seeing the villain and Black Cat figures back in the day at Toys R' Us during the summer of '07. I grew up with the GBA Spider-Man 2, so I have a softspot for Puma (never collected the Squad figures though). Btw, I'm also from Arkansas.
My headcanon says that these are all villains Tobey Spider-Man fought between the events of each of his movies or between Spider-Man 3 and No Way Home
Super nostalgic for this line of Spider-Man toys, I still have the entire superhero squad set for SM3, and most of the actions figures in the box.
I agree with the statement about Morbius. He hasnt been in much media outside of the comics. And now that he had a movie that did poorly (I thought it was good), everyone remembers Morbius for the movie and the memes.
Nice to see someone else genuinely doesn't think Morbius is that bad.
You do know that vulture actually got live action counterparts
Small kraven with a whip 😮

I remember seeing so many of these at Toys R' Us as a kid. I always used to wonder if we'd see them in a movie.
Boy do I feel old now.
the scariest part? having 11 villains in a single film wouldn't be out of place in modern MCU.
I’m sure the super hero squad Rhino and maybe Sandman are still buried in my old sandbox to this day lol. I also had the New Goblin and Green Goblin ones. Luckily they and the Spider-Men were never buried.
God this video is bringing up so many childhood memories.
WHERE IS THAT DAMN TIME MACHINE!?
It would be cool to start seeing toy-only versions of various Sonic characters in the style of the movies, especially if Paramount have no plans to adapt certain characters/games at any point.
These figure got me hoping for more movies!
Ngl I would’ve love to see that Scorpion design be brought to life in the movies, and my favorite shs set was Spider-Man and Mysterio
I almost brought myself for this, especially if they’ve ever done a live action series about them . But they’re nothing but dreams for Tobey Maguire spider .
I had the spiderman and Electro set, always wanted the Daredevil one
I absolutely had the Puma Venom double pack, and i had a venom from something else, and i always pretended that the second venom was a clone.
1:33 I do believe this scorpion design was also in 2001 Spider Man Raimi game
That thumbnail was instant nostalgia. I remember having the symbiote spidey and kraven pack. I think I lost spidey at a beach, and kraven ended up in a tub of toys I never touched.

My favorite Super Squad Line was the Hulk one My favorite pack was Planet Hulk with Silver Surfer and Black Bolt vs King Hulk

Interesting 3:43 ey look it's spider man tnas dvds on the corner
Puma was one of first bosses in Spider Man 2 PC game)
Can you do the Bayverse Transformers? They had a similar situation going on.

Welcome to being a 90s kid with batman figures
I consider myself a pretty big Spider-Man fan and I just said out loud “who the hell is Puma?”
HE CAME BACK WITH A VENGEANCE
i still have that Super Hero Squad Doc Ock. Dunno where Spidey is, though

There was also a tasm 1 venom figure
Where did you find the footage at 1:15 of fans being interviewed? I wanna watch that interview

I always wondered why these existed
I had that figure of the guy on the front
I thought that was Sun Wukong, I have no idea who Puma is
I'm still trying to track Shocker and Vulture from the Hasbro line
You should be able to find Shocker. Sadly Vulture is a lot harder to find and more expensive.
Puma was involved in the comic's black suit saga? Idk it's a stretch but that could be why.
Anyone know that one vid that shows the "complete" Raimi timeline that combines the movies, games, and novelizations?
Are the shocker and rhino figures 6 inch? The ball jointed hips make it seem like it, but I've just never seen them before.
