I appreciate all your tutorials, they have helped me dramatically in understanding Synth V. I downloaded the beta and it is definitely going to be a game changer. I was using Melodyne before for note detection and importing the midi into Synth V. One thing I have been using to get clarity on vocals from my old tape recordings from the 90s is Waves DeReverb. I found that room reverb impacts the quality of phoneme translation. Overall I’m excited about this feature.
Deep investigation as usual, 👍. Interesting also for creating back vocals, either unison or shifted. But Dreamtonics should not be shy, these voices stand perfectly in the forefront. Fun fact, on 24/11 I got Saros and instantly replaced a song where I sang in 2016: way better (easy win!)..
Really good explanation of the beta. Just starting out with S-V, my fourth attempt at finding a software singer (pretty clear I can't sing myself, I guess). Just got this a few days ago and couldn't resist the beta either. Your explanation of the audio-to-midi conversion options was really helpful. Say a small thing: I don't recall seeing the small thin pitch lines on my S-V piano roll. What do those represent? Your vids are highly praised on the Steinberg forum. Thanks for all you're doing to help those of us who don't find subtitled Japanese tutorials on a Japanese interface very helpful!
Awesome new feature! Thanks alot for your excellent videos on Synth V. They are super helpful. Especially since the official dokumentation unfortunately isn't that comprehensive.
I wouldn't... the ARA has caused crashes in Cubase that have corrupted the Synth V playback in the project that "reverting" does not clear. I have not had any issues with the standalone version.
I see, that's bad of course. Presumably this is not due to Cubase 13 but to the beta? (C13 generally has a few problems, there was a maintenance update just yesterday)
Always possible that two little bugs make one big one! To be clear, the Cubase project will load fine after a reboot... so I imagine the connection between Cubase and Synth V in ARA mode is the flakey bit... once it stutters the only way to fix it is to exit all and start over.
Thank you very much for this great video (same with the previous one regarding backing vocals: I wished you would explain your approach regarding backing vocals for your tutorial song as well , which is awesome by the way). The transcription auf audio into midi is what I've been looking for years. Have you any good tool to recommend for voice extraction?
I use Steinberg's Spectralayers Pro. It's pricey but they have Spectralayers Elements too... it's extraction feature is limited to separating vocals only.
cool! I wonder how long it will take for beta to come to normal version! I will wait for this update, Im still learning so I spend my time improving manual editing
How do I update to the Beta version of Synthesizer V 1.11. b1? When I click on update in the software it doesn't automatically update but directs me to the svstudio-pro-setup.exe file. When I click on that, it only installs part of the way before bringing up an error message that says an error occurred when trying to replace an existing file, Delete file failed; code 5. And these various files that can't be replaced are in the translations folder - eg de-de.txt or other files. It asks if I want to skip these files (not recommended) or try again (nothing happens) or cancel the installation. Do I need to delete/ remove the previous Synthesizer V Studio Pro version 1.10.0 in order to install version 1.11.0? Otherwise I can't seem to move forward on this. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
@@mixphantom0101 thanks. Although I can't even update the non-Beta version. Every time I open up my DAW it gives me a notification that there is a new update available but when I click on update it does the exact same thing as I described in my previous post for the regular version 1.10. Do you know how to fix that or whether I should uninstall Synthesizer V in order to reinstall it to the most up-to-date version? Thanks
I'm trying to download the update to synthesizer V.... but i can't find a place to get the upgrade... on the home page they want me to buy the pro version, which I have already paid for.... I cant wait to use the new update....but I can't get it...Any suggestions
This update is incredible! You do a great job diving in and figuring this out so that we can do so as well, thank you.
Thank you sir! Right on time for Christmas!!! I appreciate your efforts, keep up the excellent work! Happy holidays to you and yours!!!

It will make it so easy to make covers now. I am so excited!!!
Fascinating. And another great demo explaining how to do it!

thank you very much for helping understand SynthV, thank you for the lessons, thank you for the video, thank you for your work
Nice! Is the beta stable enough for productive use?
I wouldn't... the ARA has caused crashes in Cubase that have corrupted the Synth V playback in the project that "reverting" does not clear. I have not had any issues with the standalone version.

I'm not a beta using kinda person, but these are fantastic updates! I'm a gonna take a the plunge!
They need to make an native aax version for pro tools. Not sure why they are waiting so long to do it.
Thanks a lot. Thanks for being out trail blazer :)

Do you have a Twitter account for your channel by chance?

Good plan... you'll always need the manual editing skills to get the best results
Thanks for posting - can you tell me do any Voice Databases come with Synthesizer V Studio Pro?
Just MAI... and also a few "cut down" voices like Ritchey the Rapper.
I took the plunge but it doesn't show up in my Cubase 13 ARA extension list :( - shame I wanted to try this.
That's how it was for me... but after a few days it just appeared! Are you getting the "debugger"warnings?
Thank you for replying. No debug warning - its just not listed in extensions?@@mixphantom0101
So... Synth V can now transcribe songs in simlish ☝️🤓
Great video thanks 👍 I was just wondering what happens when you correct the words? Does it keep the pitch?
The extraction forms a group, but you can still edit the notes/words in the usual way.

Personally I'd wait for the release version. Even though I managed to install it there are issues which can only be solved by restarting my computer.

Yeah they don't make it easy! 😏

I was able to download the beta version, but it won't accept wav or mp3 files... is it user error? I'm frstrated
That is odd... are you trying to drag and drop or adding them as new "instrument track"?
I'm trying to import them into the arrangement track@@mixphantom0101
thanks for the info... I was able to drag them into the program instead of importing.... that did the trick@@mixphantom0101
It's a great feature, but since I didn't download the beta, I think I'll wait for the full version. Do you know when it will be released?
No idea... but previous beta to releases have only been a month or two.
amazing!!
is this update available on synth basic?
only Studio version
