I think Imu did attack both Cobra and Sabo. I don't think I disagree Saturn did it but for now his transformation looks more bull like and why would he attack without confirmation from Imu first? Not to mention Imu's silhouette is much bigger so it's possible Imu's tail could be very long.
I also believe if anyone had a literally Devil power it would be the leader of all thissl.

Fujitora still proving why he deserves wearing the Justice Kanji on his coat.
One of the coolest additions made by the anime - was during Fuji's introduction.
When he reminds the Marines that their duty is to protect the civillians. And the anime highlights the "Justice" Kanji on the back of his coat!
My favourite part was Cobra telling Sabo to give Luffy and Vivi a message. It just made me so nostalgic and I can't wait to have Vivi and SH interactions again.

Wheather it was planned from the start or something he thought of while planning the revierie to make fans happy and get her back into the story I love this as either way it feels so natural that you would think it was planned from the start as per usual.
Regardless I’m so excited for it and what the interactions between Vivi and the members she hasn’t met yet will be like. Not to me tion she doesn’t know the exact details about why they needef a new ship.
@@Cloud-dt6xb I was thinking the same thing because Vivi is my favorite character in the series, but I didn't know how Oda would bring Vivi back to the Strawhats without making it feel very fan fiction-y.
This was kind of a brilliant way to connect them back together and be more organic.
Vivi is definitely coming back because she is a fan-favorite and is involved in so many of the most iconic moments of early One Piece. Yet Oda was able to find a way to make it work.
I'm also happy we have another holder of the will of D. that is a woman (technically two with Lili). Before it was just Ace's mom, whose miraculous way of holding onto Ace before giving birth to him is the only situation to suggest there's an unknown power that the Ds hold, possibly simply incredible willpower.

Sabo has to be the most amazing wild card in the entire series. Imu had his eyes on Luffy and Blackbeard in his hit list, but Sabo of all people is the first to face him.
His appearance and consummation of the Mera no Mi was impressive, but this guy has seen the main villain before even his boss Monkey D Dragon did, who is the main D threat to the system.
The very existence of the revolutionary army would be completely undermined if they didn't actually play a major role in the fight against the government.
Still think Sabo’s character as a whole could have just been Ace the whole time and he’s like Oda retconning the fact he killed Luffy’s brother half way through the story

There is an extremely important question here that nobody is asking: What happened to Karoo? He came with the rest of the Alabasta group to the Reverie, but now it looks like Vivi ended up escaping Marygeoise without him. Hopefully he somehow made it out with her. It’d be a shame if he didn’t get to reunite with the crew too.

Lol I literally rewatching the series, I'm at drum kingdom and there was a scene where they were running from Mr 5 and miss Wednesday. Vivi is just panicking thinking karoo was dead when in fact he was the first to make it to the ship ready to escape. Karoo is a bigger chicken than Usopp lol
This reminds me of a joke I read on Reddit (I think?).
It was posted saying how they don't care what happened to Vivi because there are dozen of beautiful young women in the One Piece world that have the same body shape.

Calling it, Imu’s Devil Fruit is some sort of Zoan Yami Yami Nomi, Model: The Devil. Like Blackbeard has the regular fruit thinking it was the version he had heard of, but more than likely Imu made sure it was left out of the encyclopedias.
I always knew Vivi was going to renter the story in a big way towards the final stretch, but her being a D, a literal enemy of the Gods, is beyond perfect.

@@Rybread52 As a kid, I loved that twist so much. I remember thinking Miss Wednesday is way too cute to be a one-off villain, and lo behold when she ended up being one of the most important characters in early One Piece.
Imu said that "D" was the moniker of the Ancient Enemy of the World Government (most likely Joy Boy). So I have a feeling that the people who bear that name are just those who swore to carry his will by putting the moniker in their names and their descendants.
It would be in line with the themes of One Piece. It would explain why Lili has it despite being one of the founders of the WG. And it would explain why Imu didn't know until now. He realized from the name that she truly betrayed them. It would also explain how a giant like Saul has it.
Edit: Nevermind. Imu precised that "D" was a group and not a single person.
yeah i think the fact that we had a flashback about luffy and ace giving sabo the D. moniker kind of makes me think that there is 1. connection to D. by birth, meaning you carry on the D. from your family and 2. you can inherit the moniker by demonstrating the same will and nature that combats those in power much like the ancient D. "family"... my theory is that the war against the D. family was won, the remnants scattered and Lily (being a part of the 20 kingdoms who won) realized the dark path they were on, decided to scatter the poneglyphs, write back home signing it with the name D. to signal exactly what path her family and kingdom will take, a path that will defy the WG and the ones in power... all to keep the name and will of D. alive. and now 800 years later the D. "family" has increased in numbers, and the truth about the name will come out and probably unite them
It males sense you don't have to be blood related to be a "D." given One Piece's veey strong found family and inhereted will themes, you don't need to be a literal D. descendant, you just have to have that sort of personality and ideology to be one, that sort of passion to fight for people's fredom and jsutice

But basically its like you said where those who were loyal to Joyboy took it to carry on his will but instead of being his initial it would represent the name of his crew which in theory could be the Dawn Pirates (rather fitting for a Sun God imo)

That Joy Boy’s name was Jaguar Bink’s captain of the Dawn Pirates and that’s why Saul is a giant with the D name, the D stands for Dawn and the inheritors carry Joy Boy and his crew’s will and also ties in Binks’ Sake and explains why it’s like the official pirate theme song

There's a very high chance they were friends back in the day. They did form a government together after all.

I actually never pieced together that those shadows were just silhouettes of the 5 Elders in new transformations. I assumed they were literal Shadow Creatures created by Imu

What ever power Imu has, it has to be related to Black Beard’s dark fruit(logia) and Gecko’s shadow fruit (paramecia). So maybe Imu’s is the Zoan version in that line of powers

I believe Lili had the paw paw fruit and spread the poneglyphs across the world like Kuma did to the Strawhats. Kuma carrying around a Bible with Lili on the cover makes me think he is sworn to protect Lili's Descendants.The D. This could be why Kuma immediately tried to get back to Marijoa once rescued by Sad Boy. He thinks Vivi is still there... And Cobra told us himself, Vivi has got the D.

This is a pretty top tier theory im fully on board wih this atm, i remember when ppl thought it was Vivi's mom Titi on kuma's bible, it being Lili and her having the paw paw makes sense too much sense. I think that after the WG defeated the ancient kingdom, they tasked Lili to paw paw the poneglpyhs to space or the moon and she sent them all over the world in an intentional locations but claimed it was an accident, it would explain why Imu thinks it was a blunder up until Cobra mentioned Lili's letter mentioning the D to which Imu had to reveal themself to Cobra to get confirmation if Lily made a blunder or set up a grand plan agaisnt him/her with joyboys help

The rest were basically joke characters. The mkst powerfu df users were the logia users at that time. It wasnt even close. Then Marco came in with the Phoenix and our umaginations started to run wild. But even then it still took awhile for more powerful Zoans to show up

I feel like it's almost safe to say that Imu has some sort of Void ability. Or maybe aether, the hypothetical substance that "empty" space is made of. So much hints towards it, especially Imu refering to themselves as Mu meaning both void/nothingness and dream. I would even speculate that we should think of the name Mu in both those ways at once. A void dream. An empty dream. Imu suggests controll to the 20 kingdoms via the reverie but in the end Imu makes the decision.
The reverie is nothing more than the word's original meaning. Barely more than a daydream. A dream that Imu not just destroys but just disregards. I'm starting to think that the D. initial is actually meant to mean Dream. Imu destroys dreams while Luffy as Nika makes (his) dreams literally come true. The D.s are the enemy of the world government because they are the dreamers.
And while "Mu" may also mean "dream" it is also the last syllable of the japanese pronounciation of the word "dream": Do-ri-mu. So Mu is literally the "End of D(.)ream". You can even make a case for the D. meaning dream by what Blackbeard said to the Strawhats: "People's dreams never End". The "D" never ends. But Mu wants to end dreams. The D.s are the restless dreamchasers and dreamchasers could be regarded the natural enemy of tyrants, at least in the world of One Piece.
Ace died smiling and knowing he was loved despite his "evil blood" which might as well has become his dream in the end. Roger died smiling because he reached the last island and knew he was herald to the generation of the new joyboy. Saul smiled on his presumed death when his wish for Robin to escape seemed feasible (and might even actually die smiling in the story somewhat soon when he sees that Robin found the friends Saul wished for her to find). They all accomplished their dream or a very important wish to them.

When it comes to Imu and the silhouettes, I honestly don’t think they are the five elders having their own devil fruits. I think it’s more like the five elders are all constructs of Imu’s devil fruit and may not even be humans at all. Just beings which Imu creates to do their own bidding and give a face for everyone to talk to while Imu themself remains hidden.
They still seem to have minds on their own though, as they were surprised Imu showed up in front of Cobra

you completely forgot to talk about the letter Queen Lili left and what Cobra said to also tell Luffy involving "protect the poneglyphs, fly the flag that heralds the worlds eventual dawn"
I think Lili laid out the ground work for a 800 year plan to overthrow the WG obviously, cause as this chapter explains she intentionally let the poneglyphs out to the world, and she of course kept one of the most important ones in her home land of Alabasta. Which of course contains the location of the weapon Pluton which we know is in Wano. And we we know Oden after discovering The One Piece alongside Roger, he learned he had to open Wano for Joyboys eventual return. And the sea kings saying the 2 rulers will meet soon also means thats another ancient weapon in Joyboys hands. The Ancient weapons are meant to help Joyboy (luffy) fight against the WG
If Imu has the ability of 'ink'(?), then the final battle between Luffy and Imu might parallel the fight between Luffy and enel with Rubber Luffy being the natural counter to Enels lightening, with the Rubber Luffy being the natural counter to Imu's Ink Drawings

I think Imu may have loved lily hinting why he gave her the benefit of the doubt and she left cause of the evil Imu was doing on the world.
I always thought that Imu is an immortal, now that I know that it's the same name as one of the old 20 families that became the celestial dragons. Also there is the mention that the Op-Op fruit performed an immortalization operation further shows that Imu can be immortal
Wild thought/ theory, but what if the silhouettes are not the devil fruits of the individual elder stars but rather an awakened devil fruit manifestation of Imu. I would love the idea that Imu has a sort of calamity/pandoras box devil fruit that in it's awaken form allows him to modify people into beasts or creatures representing their inner evil/wildness/chaoticness. Don't think it's likely but think it would be awesome nonetheless!

In Tekking’s review he said that he thought the furthest right silhouette’s ears looked kind of like Herme’s feet wings which could mean that one is mercury as that is the Roman equivalent to Hermes

I thought that too at first but its so confusing as it looks like it morphs from something pig-like with a tentalcle arm or a stache to a blob with tentacle arms to a stache either way im gonna associate it with a stache which makes me think its the Gorbachev gorosei
I feel like Lily's "blunder" isn't the "Oh, oopsie doopsie, that wasn't supposed to happen" kind and rather the "I have made a grave error of judgment" kind, or at least that's how Im sees it.
Nothing to do with the chapter itself, but I really appreciate how you invest on original art assets for your videos, also holy crap your artist is fast, I know drawing silluetes isn't that complicated but he was still able to convey how they looked in the manga extremelly well.
This chapter confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt that Vivi is returning to the crew. I cannot wait!

Why would Oda have them all draw their weapons, readying to potentially kill Cobra if one of them was going to use their DF powers?
Yes the attack comes from the side but that doesn't mean it can't be Imu projecting the attack. Plus the attack happens as soon as Imu reacts to hearing 'D'. Its pretty unlikely to be one of the Gorosei.

Also later on when you see the arrow attack again it is attached to a large silhouette with jagged teeth. When Sabo attacks Imu He/She transforms and takes the fire attack with it's teeth which are jagged. Other than the angle of attack there is nothing to say this is a Gorosei attack

@@LoPrestige_ While Vivi has always been classified as an honorary member of the Straw Hats, she always felt like she was in a weird position where she has more validity as a Straw Hat than most other honorary members.
It's been like almost 20 years, but Vivi still feels more like a Straw Hat than other major allies like Yamato, and the Pink Dragon Boy whose name I'm forgetting as I type this. The wiki lists her as a former member still.
However, I think we can all see her as an official Straw Hat if they ever make a statue of her in Kumamoto. I think that'll be awesome, but let's wait and see where the story takes us.

At this point I think Oda didn't let Yamato or Carrot join the crew because he was holding the final spot for Vivi. She has been a borderline unofficial crew member almost since the beginning. So her officially joining wouldn't seem out of place or random like if Oda added another character. Honestly Vivi as the final straw hat just feels right in ways that Yamato or Carrot didn't. Been a very long time coming if it happens but I am looking forward to it.

My favorite thing with the reverie is that the Straw Hat Armada is there and broadcasting who they are so it looks from a spectator's POV that Luffy sent his allies for some political reason but he really just doesn't even know about any of this. It'd would make a lot of sense though that Merman Island, Dressrossa, and other locations that were freed from oppression by the Straw Hats would be where the Grand Fleet would head after Dressrossa and they would set themselves up as protection.
Then another thing, Big News Morgans having Wapol and Vivi in his care suggests that the Revolutionary war's biggest secret has already leaked to a source that could actually change the entire world.
Theres a fun theory going on that the elder planet’s silhouettes are based on the monsters in the book “where the wild things are” and the lil kid can possibly representing imu 😂
It's not a fun theory at all, it's an incredibly stupid one. Like it's actually the worst theory I've ever heard and I can only imagine some heckin redditorinos came up with it

I think that the elders all have other god-model fruits, because I doubt the ONLY god fruit is specifically the sun god, and looking at polytheistic religions like the Greeks and Egyptians there's always a full court.
Maybe before the Nika fruit was stolen by shanks it was going to be Imu's fruit, because the reality - warping effects of gear 5 would work perfectly for a secret world ruler.
I wonder if Imu's DF is a silhouette fruit. Knowing Oda's love of making silhouettes, and the fact that silhouettes can be so much more than their outline (anything is possible with the right imagination) plays well against Luffy's DF. Both are very cartoony and wild.

I feel like the goresi or Imu power might be related to either two things. They have the power of “the void” or the opposite of Luffy (they have a nightmare type ability) it would makes sense because Luffy power is all representative of freedom, imagination, and making dreams come true, so they would naturally be the ultimate opposite of that. It could be a new fruits, or just a different power system all together (which personally I’m kinda rooting for)

The voice in my head for Imu was something along the lines of SHODAN from System Shock. A creepy constantly fluctuating voice. Suits their otherworldly nature.

The bird silhouette sort of reminds me of Wan shi tong from Avatar in attack mode, and the arrow attack is like a Medusa vector arrow from Soul Eater

There is now an extremely high probability that Vivi is going to join them on their voyage to Laugh Tale... and that to me is just absolutely poetic. For the honorary crewmate to actually join them on their final voyage is nothing short of beautiful.

I still wanna know where Kaku is all this time during Reverie; Lucci and the others are around for this bombshell of Story Lore but he seemingly just disappeared after the initial Shiraboshi-Charloss incident.
I think IMU is the alter-ego of Queen LiLi or there's 2 "persons" in one body or there's the "real devil" and "LiLi" in 1 body. With her last ounce of control before IMU took over the body fully, LiLi probably sent out the poneglyphs.
Lastly, IMU can be read as I Am You and You Am I (reverse) which sounds proper name fitting for someone with 2 "persons" in his/her 1 body

I kind of feel like the moment where Ace asked Sabo if he wants the name "D" was very important, like it was a quick glimpse at how the D clan works. Their not related through blood they give each other the title of "D" to represent found family and inheriting the will of others.

I think that the Sabo flashback hints that Nefertari Lily wasn't a "D." member originally, but when she switched side, opposing Imu and the celestial dragons, she self proclaimed a D - and Imu never confirmed that until Cobra revelation about her signature.
Also this Chapter gives new context to that mysterious Blob-Thing taking out Den-Den-Mushi on Egghead. Saturn could really be there and playing a SAW kind of game.
So when I read this chapter I interpreted Imu’s description of the poniglyphs release being an accident as sarcastic. Basically saying she “accidentally” released them. And when they asked for the name they clearly knew the Nefritari’s were D but that was supposed to be erased
I've got a friend that is currently somewhere in Drum Island, and had a fun time telling him that, believe it or not, Wapol relevant to this day in current One Piece. Just a funny way to get a reaction outta someone. Obviously didn't mention any specifics.
Not sure how Vivi’s heritage works. She gets her family name from Cobra but the naming convention from her mother but also her paternal ancestor.
Which either suggests is just a common convention in Alabasta or at least the aristocracy.
Or perhaps relations of a more incestious nature.
But has been 800 years ish on an island nature so unavoidable to a point
I think there are two explanations:
1) We hear that after Lili disappears her brother takes over, Vivi and Cobra could be direct descendants of the brother and indirect descendants of Lili.
2) Alabasta could have the custom where rather than the surname being passed on through the male when it comes to royals their last name is always the monarch's last name regardless of gender.
I hope that makes sense.
