I think i said it before and i will say it again. You and your creativity are going places. As a maker, a designer, an artist and hopefully as a youtuber cause i would love to see this jurney. Partially cause i would gladly walk your path if i could choose again. And had more talent. All best J.
I take back all my rumblig from the previous video. Once painted those brackets set it off really nicely, giving a simple piece of furniture an original look. Also liked using a handsaw as a straight edge, i learned something :). Thank you
Not at all - I think you made some really good and valid points in your last comment but thank you! & I'm glad you noticed the saw trick, I only found out about it a few weeks ago and hoped somebody would spot it - you can measure both 90 and 45 degrees on them :)
Thanks Robert & yeah craft shows/markets are exactly the sort of place I'd imagine you could use them, as you could really easily change the size of the table to meet the particular space you're working in!
Thank you for these simple, minimalist projects. I don't have a station wagon though and I am thinking I would need to construct the pre-made brackets out of wood.
Thanks Juliet and I actually transported the materials with a compact VW polo, and you can always hang the pieces out of a window or boot if you're struggling for space - if there is a will theres a way!
I propose a challenge... Find and take broken, discarded materials and turn them into a beautifully functional piece of furniture while maitaing the uniqueness of those materials.
Sparky 415 Everythings Adjustable thank you mate, I really appreciate your support & ive not heard of that but I’ll have to check it out! What makes you connect the two??
I'm not sure I like your questions! You always get me thinking and even doing research… I had seen Huf houses many years ago then was reminded about them by Grand designs a few years ago They are a modular system of home built with a simplicity of design (ha cracked it! 😊 ) I think you will enjoy this if you've not come across them before 👍 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huf_Haus And ua-cam.com/video/WgCywz7eZHE/v-deo.html
Your editing is fantastic! Love your vids! Not to mention all your creations! Amazing! Thank you! A question, your shop, it looks similair to my basement where I would like to move my shop to. But I don't got any heating system there. Do you have that in yours? If you dont, do you see if your tools is getting bad in that enviroment?
Thanks Jacob, I really appreciate your support! With the basement workshop, although I've got one small radiator and a window that can help regulate temperature I honestly hardly ever use them; the best thing about having a shop underground is that the thermal mass of the earth helps regulate the temperature so its always cool in summer time and warm in the winter. The only thing I would look out for is damp as that can make your tools rust, and the cellar might need treating or at worst completely tanking
@@jmakes3745 Thank you so much for taking the time to answer! I really appreciate it. And as you write I need to look up how damp the cellar are. I'm afraid I'll need to fix that first. Thank you once more! =)
This would be even more interesting if it can be evolved into modular connectors of some sort (similar to the Ken Isaacs system) - great idea and application anyway!
ArsonDPI I had a quick look for his system but I’m sure I can find exactly what you mean. However because the top of the bracket is open the leg can go all the way through, meaning you can actually connect stretchers of different heights on the post, and use it as a sort of building block :)
@@jmakes3745 I never realised there isn't a grey heart emoji… What an oversight!😀 You've been doing a great job at staging your pieces: the room in which you put the table looked gorgeous.🌞✨ The brackets are super smart and handy but you already know that!😉
Genius. Modern art with form and function. Film and photos were great. Have to say, I am blown away. Well done.
Thats very kind of you - thanks!
Fantastic nice one just love the idea 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Your brackets are genius - I hope you have patented them - I would buy them in a heatbeat...
Haha thanks mate & I'll definitely have to look into it!
Awesome work, great design! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you as always Fred!!
new idea to join woods! thanks for this vid :)
No problem, thank you for watching!
Excellent. I like the ‘testing’ for strength...
Haha thanks Rob, I think some form of table strength test is obligatory now on youtube!

Dave Williams massive over exaggeration but thank you haha!
I need me some of those brackets! Beautiful work, sir
Thanks Zane, really appreciate it!
Brilliant! Keep it coming! You better patent your design
Quaanit Bester thank you mate and haha we’ll see!
Great idea, wish I could buy these brackets.

These have turned out even nicer than I thought they would, Great project J! (for some reason they make me think of a Huf House)

Haha thanks mate, glad to have to you hear!
Practicality at its best! 👍 What is the name of the tightening part (stainless steel) on your bracket?
Thank you - its called a 'Wing Screw'
Car work bench! Everything cut to size before you carry it in, good thinking.
It makes sense! Why setup or take it to a workbench, when you've already got a ready made one on wheels!
