Thinking of moving from Canada... but depends if its difficult to live/rent/work/resident etc... checking out if its easy for me to learn .. so far easier than Dutch/German and even tho arabic is super hard I was getting good at that.. this is not too bad Nice to know Croatia is listed as HIGHLY proficient in English so that makes it easier to learn Croatian knowing I won't be ignored/ looked down on/Spit on or Fought if I can't speak it fluent ..
Clear and very helpful, well paced instructional video! I can guarantee there will be a great demand for Part 3 with Andrea! :) JayWay must be very well known now!
Yeah that’s just a longer way to say ‘aerodrom’ and also it’s, as people in Croatia say, “more Croatian” haha in a way that it doesn’t originate from other languages like ‘aerodrom’ does.
We're so excited you find this series useful :) thank you! Andrea is usually busy with her destination expert role making sure our guests have the very best time in Croatia so it's not easy getting these episodes out. But we're noting down the demand for episode 3 - and if you subscribe you'll be the first ones to know when it comes!
In Restaurant. May I have a look at the kitchen, please? ( Molim vas smijem li pogledati kuhinju? ) How old is this black oil in the fryer? ( Koliko je staro ovo crno ulje u fritezi? ) Why is there no leftover food in the trash can? ( Zašto nema ostataka nepojedene hrane u kanti za otpatke? ) Do you throw away uneaten food or serve it to another guest? ( Da li bacate ostatke nepojedene hrane ili ih servirate drugom gostu?) Why do you keep expired foods in the fridge? ( Zašto držite u frižideru namirnice kojima je istekao rok trajanja? ) If I didn't get the bill, I'm not obliged to pay, goodbye. ( Ako nisam dobio račun nisam dužan platiti, doviđenja. )
Hi there, we appreciate the interest but unfortunately we are a travel company, not a language school. If you even need help planning a trip to Croatia, our experts would be delighted to assist, but as for language learning, we can’t help more than these little videos. We wish you the best of luck on your language journey!
Surely it's better to try a little bit than to expect every Croatian to speak and understand English. When I travel outside the UK I always try to learn a few words o the country's language. I think it's a sign of respect. I'm visiting Croatia in a few days and I've found these clips very useful, Vidimo se uskoro!
@@scottcompany4040 bravo! Well english language has 4 cases of nouns we have 7...and besides that we have,in many examples, several words meaning the same thing....depends on the dialect in Croatia. There are 3 main dialects but in reality there are dozens. But the best thing about Croatian language is if you will learn it you will be abke to read and understand 14 other languages...more or less be able...im having some dificulties with Czech and Polish but i can read them...just to tell you what i mean
@@scottcompany4040 and welcome to Croatia! Reading and writing Croatian is easy part...much easier than English....it took me years to learn to speak English both written and oral to be able to have conversation as in my native....almost...so it is not impossibile. @@zagrepcanin82 It's great that many Croatians speak English but I still think it's polite for us to use a few words of Croatian when we're in your country.

I can not believe that Novac literally means [MONEY]❕😮 It is the famous tennis player [NOVAC] DJOKOVIC'S first name!!!!!
his name is actually novak haha
C = TS and nit K so Novak is more like New or Recruit Đoković
Svaka cast na trudu Andrea ali nas jezik je malo pretezak za ljude koji u svom maternjim nemaju 7 padeza
