Yep, buy the worst house in the best street and the only way is up. My ex's parents bought a house so run down they had to live in the hallway and do one room up at a time. They quadrupled the value.

Looking forward to the Reno! This is a brute stone waiting to become a gem! You just got to put in the work! Good luck! We’re currently renovating too, there is a lot you can do yourself for way cheaper than hiring someone to do it. We sadly encountered a contractor that ran off with your money and never did our bathroom reno (about 10k down the drain). So we decided to just do everything ourselves(except major electricity works and specialties like installing a garage door)! There is nothing you can’t do. Good luck, you can do it!!!
