I caught a 40 inch northern on a panfish ice fishing pole and a 3 pound line with a crappie minnow. Took over 2 hours to real it in.
Anyone else go back and rewatch from the hook up of the big fish?? I can't get enough! Awesome fish Clayton!!
The best ice fisherman n it’s not even close. Consistently catching master angler fish in almost every video, diffrent species, smart/educational, respectful to the fish/fisheries, an shows new guys what it’s about an how it’s done. Not often do you find all that in 1 fisherman.
I do love learning how to care for the fish... thank you! I never grew up that way, but I have definitely learned a lot from you and have become that way more than before. I've never mistreated any fish or animal, so ya know lol😊 so, thank you, Clayton 😊

Great underwater footage. The water has not been as clear this year I noticed, we have had to put the camera a lot closer...which is risky lol. Nice Pike by the way!

Nice to see you’re an Eskimo man. I have the predecessor, the 450i. Love the door and it’s great for 2 guys and a dog for a day of fishing. Haven’t slept in it yet. Ice down here is at an all time low in Wisconsin. Very sad winter, as I’m a waxworm farmer

It’s unreal how much that pike circled around before committing to the bite. Gives me a better perspective to have more patience when watching on my basic fish finder 😅

We set our goals for pike the first trip out and managed a p.b. walleye for my buddy and hooked into a few more while the pike evaded us... great sized walleyes for inland michigan stockers
right now in my area we are having a ice fishing derby and there was a guy that caught a 48" 29 1/2lbs muskie, which in the area is a monster through the ice insane the size of these fish
That was awesome when you were jigging both baits I knew you were going to go to no movement and get him. Crazy how finicky they can be and that sequence proved it. That 42 was a dandy and that most likely saved that fish from that bone. Looks like a Redhorse Sucker fin

Them small fish are just as fun to catch , right Clayton ? I love the underwater camera stuff , i even put some plastic aquarium plants on it to disguise it. The fish think of the camera as structure and dont spook from it then.😅

What knot do you use with the wire line to your lures? I've tried different knots but the wire line bends and my lures don't sit right
I made some videos on this on the past. But I use a salt water loop knot :)
I just sold all my frostbite rod line up..... moving up, they were my start up rods I liked them but time to move on

I was watching Justin Jenkins assorted meats and Idk if I didn't understand it right or not but I was sure he said your buddy mac mulligan makes them or its his company or something "timber rods" I was wondering if you were going to make the switch and start using timber rods also since mac is your buddy
