@@nassim3418 no, it has to be opened up and the ribbon changed for a new one without a crease. It’s pretty easy once you’ve done it once or twice. I’ve done it 7 times as it’s a common problem with joycons.
I had to pause nnrewind your video as the screw head i was using was the wrong one, in the wrong spot. After I corrected, I hit play n heard you say something similar about screw heads being in the wrong spot😅 hahahaha, yup relatable to a T.
Thank you so much fo this detailed video. It was very helpful in finding the same exact fault that you displayed in your video, plus now i can't get rid od the kazoo music in my head LOL. Much appreciated 👍
So I’m having a similar issue where my joycon doesn’t even have green lights and doesn’t connect, I tried a different controller on that side and it worked so I’m certain the issue is on the controller itself. I’m hoping this helps, also I didn’t quite hear you say the type of screw driver you needed so it would be great if I could get a response ALSO that’s a really nice kit where did you buy it?😂 I’m similar where I enjoy opening up stuff to fix it myself
It was a placeholder part from another controller so I didn't have to wait for the replacement part to get the video finished. Not ideal but it all worked out in the end. 😁👍
This has been the state of my left joycon for half a year now, recently my right also started having this phenomenon, and today, it wont work at all! Guess ill stick to a pro controller till i can buy new ones many months later...
With a screwdriver set from Ebay for about 10 quid and a ribbon with board for about 3 quid, it might pay dividends to try replacing it yourself. Could save alot of money 👍
Unfourtunately, I'm too young to actually harmlessly mingle with the inner components of technology, and I can't think of anyone (the folks at the local hardware fix-up store don't even have the necessary screwdrivers to open up the joycons, surprisingly enough) to help with the fix. I'll come back in the comment section if, by some miracle, the problem remedies itself (I did fix up a friend's DSi buttons by just blowing into them lol). In the end, I will end up with enough controllers to play 4 player splitscreen/couch play with, at least.
Excelent Video! Thanks to this I know now what to do. I have the same problem. Could you please tell us the part number of that son I can order it? I don't know the name or the part number. Thanks in advance!
I find the design choice of this ribbon cable ridiculous. I have 3 joy cons all with the same issue and all 3 have broken in the same place. Even the new cable already has a slight crease because there's nowhere else for it to go. 🤦🏻♂️

Bro my blue joycon Nintendo switch controller the L button fell off
It’s very likely that it’s the crease in the SL SR ribbon - a very common issue with joycons - where the crease causes the ribbon to fail.
How do you fix it then?
Can I fix it without opening it up?

Do you save life switch
I don't repair items for business or anything. I do it for practice and entertainment.
Love the video and the love kazoos❤😂
I wish I could fix mine :( It doesn't stay connected. I am going to try to get an air compressor to push any debris out.
That's almost cirtainly loose rails. Another common problem. 👍

11:07 i have my joycon sync light issue, so i follow this video, and i also made the same mistake, lol. it's so brittle ...
If it breaks under the slightest pressure then it's always better to replace the cable. It's broken either way 👍
Bro I tried your battery removal 'maneuver' and It broke the battery. cheers big fella
