The WORST Rancid Songs Ever Recorded
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 жов 2023
- Rancid are a punk band from Berkeley California. They play punk music, for the most part it's pretty good. Tim Armstrong and Lars Frederiksen are the two main songwriters, guitar players and singers. A lot of their music could be classified as decent to great. Not the songs featured in this video, however. These are the worst songs in the Rancid Discography. #punk

As a clash simp I love arrested in shanghai. I’m voting “go on rise up” as the most uninspired rancid song. Fall back down is more played out than Ruby Soho
A decade of ZERO skipz
I strongly disagree on the Arrested In Shanghai take. That song for me is the best song on Indestructible.
I agree! I love you better not go fucking back there
You are wrong. Period.😅
I didn't hear Ruby Soho all that much on the radio so it never got played out for me and it's still one of my favorites.
That lyric reading was freaking hilarious!!😂
It’s a diabolical dance
It’s a diabolical dance
Yes, Matt singing about Shimmy Shaking made the hair on my neck stand up
Actually died laughing on some of these impersonations 😂🥞
One of my favorite bands while growing up, I’m curious to know your list, dude! Sending some positive vibes from Utah
❤️🙏
Trippin on the LA River take, i love that song!
Boomshalalaka
@@danframpt0n shimmy shimmy ya shimmy ya shimmy yeah!
Or was that the ODB one....
🥞🥞🥞 And just when you thought you'd had enough "Woah Woah/Na Na Na NaNa Na Na"'s, eh. 🥞🥞🥞.
3:15 yep
I pretty much gave up after Life Won’t Wait but did like a lot of Indestructible 🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞
So far I agree whole heartedly
The “oh no oh no oh yeah yeah” song at the end reminds me of a part from the song Asshole by Dennis Leary lmao
Newest album:
"Don't make me do it ♾"
Still a rad song
The new record is a 10/10, youre goofy af bro
I like let the dominoes fall but there were a couple misses on there, especially l.a. river
I swear they wrote LA River and never played it live
Lmfao. The energy in this video is great. We need more of you reading shitty lyrics.
Bonus Gross: 'My Life To Live' by Lars and the Bastards with additional cringe from Lint.
A brutal, yet fair and true comment.
Anyone who knows anything knows that the world ended after 1999.
First five? First 3 records only for me. Life Won't Wait was made for a major label that didn't happen (Madonna's project) and is solely raggae at that point, even And Out Comes The Wolves had some overly ska or poppy punk tunes. That's why Let's Go still reigns as their best album ever, too bad Maxwell Murder wasn't on it too. (Learn about who Robert Maxwell was btw...sick Trump/Murdoch type of guy from the UK who stole a lot of money from the UK and disappeared/died at sea in 1991...his daughter? Ghislaine Maxwell....yep, it's that Maxwell!
Cool story bro. But not even close. Seriously doubt they knew or cared anything at all about Robert Maxwell. Seems like they were more on about street politics in their hometown scene. *Spoiler* And after a simple google search it’s revealed that it’s about a friend of Tim’s that was murdered in the streets.
@@MT-bs2mi I was thinking about Robert Maxwell because of the chorus "dial 999 if you really want the truth" and 999 is what brits use for 911, so I had just kind of made that small link in my head a good while ago, it's fine, I appreciate being wrong, sometimes subjects are combined, just a weird not-so random connections one's brains made that wasn't accurate. Kudos for correcting my mistake.
Ooooooo tbis definitely sounds fun and I’m curious if I agree!
This video is a straight banger
I skip LA river every time I play let the dominoes fall honestly
This guy likes when his mom goes out of town because then he gets to sleep on her side of the bed.
lol 😂
Start with:
Operation Ivy - self titled for the history of where these dudes are from
then yea:
Rancid - S/T (1993)
Rancid - Let's go
Rancid - And Out Come the Wolves...
Rancid - Life Won't Wait (this might be their overall best album in my opinion)
Rancid - S/T (2000 - straight up hardcore album that just rips from start to finish)
and yea...after that, it's kind of down hill from there.
Life won't wait was probably my favorite too. But I'd say Indestructible is still a pretty good record, especially for fans of AOCTW. I can even pick out a chunk of good music on dominoes, but something happened around that time. They lost their edge.
Also after OP IVY, they were in downfall, which was a badass band. Rancid released some stuff before the first Epitaph record too, you can find it on youtube. It's all pretty much badass punk rock. They were so so good back then. Tim has done a ton of side projects and solo stuff too. It's mostly pretty great. Definitely an all time favorite artist.
Dan: It’s a good song but it’s the most overplayed
Me: I swear is he says Ru-
Dan: Ruby Soho
Heard them play this song back in the day in St. Louis lol
Lesser known character
Indestructible in one of the greatest albums of all time, glad this one didn't feature many from that one. Domino and Honor are pretty rough.
Crane Fist isn't an easy listen, but I really like it.
I live near Toronto, let’s make a punk band that makes fun of punk bands
chaotic dischord
Strange that you didnt mention Telegraph Avenue. I still cant get why a band with most deeply and poetic lyrcis make a refrain which consist only of "nananas"
Diabolical Dan! 🥞
Don’t talk shit about the barmy army, EXPLOITED BARMY ARMY
These guys sure love their money!!! Everything from rancid 5 and before is fucking amazing, sure, a decent amount of forgettable songs, but so so so many masterpieces. Then they figured out what money was 👎
Television television television television. Bad religion with Tim Armstrong singing
I love rancid and I think indestructible is a no skip album for me. After over 30 years there’s bound to be a couple shitty songs but for the most part they fuckin rule!
Saw them in 98-and 99 great shows and haven’t really listened to anything they’ve done after that I’ve tried but I usually can’t make it through a song
Worst song from their actually good first five records: LADY LIBERTY. The rockabilly vibe is so harsh
Never was a Rancid fan, much prefer Operation Ivy.
I totally agree with LA river. That was the first song that came to my mind when thinking of bad Rancid songs.
Boomshakalaka
This dude hurts to look and listen too. Knows so much nothing. Wish I didn't accidentally write on this...
Ok
Dan I’m howlin !!! The Rancid songs I always cringe at are New Dress, Ghost Band and The Bravest Kids 🤮
Ghost band and bravest kids are mediocre at best but I gotta disagree with new dress. Love that song. About a girl caught in war moving westward. Catchy blues riff, some of Lars's best singing too. Come on, New Dress is awesome. That whole album is.
Dan , you show your immaturity.
Boomshakalaka
Shimmy shimmy shake shimmy shimmy boom shaka laka!!!
Barmy Army is obviously a nod to 'Exploited Barmy Army' but, let's be honest: it was shite enough when they did it 😂 Happy to say I've not heard that one. 'Indestructible' is when they started going downhill for me but I still like the majority of all their albums. One song I really hate is 'Arrested in Shanghai'. It sounded like them trying to be the shitty, 80s Clash 😂 Ruby Soho is a belter of a tune though. Loads of nostalgia value for me. I like Diabolical as well. It's catchy. Admittedly the lyrics could be better.
HAAAAAAAAA: I hadn't watched to the end before you said 'Arrested in Shanghai' 🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞
Poor baby. U look more like queens against the stone age fan anyway.
This topic doesn’t make sense. All their songs are exactly the same
"Something To Believe In A World Gone Mad" sounds like name mix from Ramones "Something To Believe in" and Agent Orange "A Cry For Help In A World Gone Mad". 😄
The worst Rancid songs ever recorded were any song that isn't on Out come the Wolves. I'm being a bit harsh there, all the other albums have 2-3 bangers but a lot of the time they just can't capture the magic.
There are no bad Rancid songs. I'm a little biased however.

Never heard a rancid song that made me want to listen to them.
