Honestly the amount of cognitive awareness and intelligence it takes for a dog to actually know to not only pick up the toys, but to get to a higher level to hover the string over the edge for the kittens is downright beautiful!!!

We had a Husky that was bred 3 of 4 times and the owners would take her babies from her. She would nurse our cats and all the kittens we would rescue after we got her. If there was nobody around to nurse, she would gather up the dozens of stuffed animals we had and bring them to bed with her. 😊❤

I suspect being separated from their puppies is really traumatic for many mammals, particularly those that don't go their separate ways when the babies are weaned. 😥

That is one of the most sweetest things I've ever heard,i had a husky that was also have coyote she was so beautiful and so affectionate she was the smartest dog I've ever had i adopted her from the shelter when she was a puppy when we Hired a dog trainer he said he u have a coy dog he said he really enjoyed working with her,i miss her so bad every day, my puppy never had babies but she loved children, she thought my baby niece was her baby if it wasn't my sister or her husband or myself going to get the baby from the crib she wouldn't let anyone else in the baby room and she would lay down in the baby room on the floor next to the crib and when the baby would start crying she would come into my room and jump on my bed and paw me and she would be so vocal like how dare you let her cry , she was a very special girl,i don't know why people say that huskies are so dangerous around kids for because I don't think they are at all my baby was even mixed with a wild dog and she was so super gentle with all the children, she would pull them around in the sled in the winter and cuddle up with them if they got sick and she would lick thier tears away if they were crying, huskies are so much joy

It’s a shame that sweet Kona had such a hard life, found w/her own puppies, then adopted and returned, not just once but twice! Yet I believe it’s b/c the Universe meant for her to be w/this woman as a foster mom to kittens, esp. since shelter and stray cats are in even greater numbers than dogs. Nurturing these kitties and socializing them w/each other and dogs makes them even more adoptable. Amazing how Kona knows instinctively not only how to care for and cuddle, but also to carry and play w/them. She’s such a smart girl - and one very good mama.💕🐾🐶🐱

The clam bed is adorable. I’ve always had large dogs so I’ve never even seen one before. Kona looked so peaceful and cozy in that bed.
