I took in the best, most precious wonderful animals you could imagine, and when I put them down, it shattered me. They both made it to 16, they had a great life, and one I had to put down 10 years ago, and the other 7 years ago. I still miss them but I had very special dogs. If I happen across a stray, I'll take it in, but I'm never going to actively search out ownership again.

If I had a 1/2 dozen Corgi puppies walking all over me, I'd be delighted as well. It was enough to be sitting cross legged working on my laptop and have my Samoyed force me to move it and lay down in my lap. That was awesome. She was so pleased with herself she could control me :)

I just had to have my 10 year old lab rottie mix Max put down yesterday. He had a huge tumor that attached to his left side, lung, spine and looked like a vollyball right behind his left front leg. He hid the pain so well but he was obviously uncomfortable. We loved him so much. Doctor operated but when he found the extent of the damage damage he advised we keep him comfortable, manage the pain and love him. That lasted a year until the growth had him struggling to breath. He never stopped trying to live life, you could see the confusion he felt. His leg finally gave out and couldn't walk on it. My baby Max...I miss you so badly. 😢❤
I had a Corgi, huge Corgi lover by the way, and I would say “Mommy gotta go to work?” He would turn his head from left to right and jump on my couch and look out the window like a cat!
Adorable moments like the ones you showed are part of the reason people have dogs. I have 2 dogs (one is a beagle, so cute moments are extra wonderful), and they are just too cute! I will forever love them.
