Good job! Gonna be real though, you need more levels and more Scadutree fragments. The DLC drops LOTS of runes for you. I'm a little farther than you lore wise. :)

Tbh I wish you had more HP. i know you'll redo the DLC many times with different builds but now you are missing out on some interesting moves.
for instance, if the Lion dancer grabs you and you survive, you'll get a debuff where if you use your crimson flask, the boss kinda steals your heal and gets a Ton of HP back (you get your heal too). I don't know if it steals from all forms of healings or just the flask tho. the debuff lasts for at least 20 secs.
All things considered, good on you. tackling the DLC with your current stats is a brave decision. but i'm afraid it'll just turn into a segmented no-hit run. So, good luck man.

25 vigor is perfect for now. I'll consider slowly increasing it depending on the challenge

Dunno why you put yourself through 25 vigor torture. After dying to the knight 5 times from 2 shots on a tanky build, i went Ok, crucible horn time, screw this guy. And the dancer, i got annoyed in 5 attempts then took out my broken endure + fist weapon charge tactic and started to lob things off him until he stopped moving... This was a recurring theme through the entire thing until the final boss where even that doesn't work, for phase 2 anyway, lol.

There are many reasons to play low vigor like 25. The most important being a deep understanding of the boss' moveset and precise punish windows.

@@Ontos99 That's true, i just lack that refinement. :D I just enjoy being a brickwall in these games for some reason. It's actually not that easy to do but definitely easier than your way for sure. I can understand better :D

Scadu means "shadow" in Old English. the Anglo Saxon and Norse references in this game are all over the place. It's still basically pronounced "shadu-ow"

I've fought around 4 main bosses now, and I'm blown away by the complexity of the fights. I was impressed when I played through the base game for the first time, but I couldn't shake the feeling of wanting a bit more. Yes, the base game certainly had it moments, but I felt disappointed with many of the fights. The fights in the dlc are complex, brutal, fun, and flow-y. Even many of the normal enemies have the complexity you'd expect from a boss fight. I don't have to neuter my damage just to make sure I don't kill the boss too fast (looking at you, Maliketh, and Morgott). You're always incentivized to search for new openings since the bosses have so much health. Rolling in the right direction and jumping at the right time feels more important than ever. Healing feels like a privilege rather than a given due to the bosses aggression. I understand why people would say that the dlc is too difficult, but it's perfect for me. I hope the devs continue the design philosophy of this dlc in future games.

I think I agee with everything here! I have only beaten 2 main bosses because making this video has taken 2 days + due to editing.
Now trying to figure out the moveset of this INSANE 3rd boss. I think we'll get to this in Part 3
