I have SUCH a lady boner for Miss Alicia... She is hands down one of the most beautiful girls I think I have EVER seen! I hate seeming like I'm overlooking the actual sport by objectifying women here by breaking it apart to comment on someone's physical appearance like this... I'm certainly not trying to demean anyone or anything- I just can't HELP but swwooooOoooning a little every time I see Alicia though! PurrrRROWWW! I'm a 30yo straight girll here- but I've got me SUCH a crush on Miss Alicia Sacremone!! I see those big, sparkling, deep brown, expressive doe eyes& that bright smile?! Ohhh I just want to reach through the screen & squeEEEEZZEE her, she's just TOOOO CUTE! And the dimples! And that body- phew! And she has that amazing olive skin tone. And and AND, I could go on ALLLLL DAY about Alicia's beautiful features & it still wouldn't be enough! AND she's clearly SO talented& tough- clearly she is strong physically, these girls all are- but to still be going like Alicia was here is just unbelievable! Her boyfriend here (er, I guess he's just her "boyfriend" HERE but I'm pretty darn sure they're married now?) What a LUCKY MAAAAN! IM JEALOUS!!
Samantha Shapiro's floor at 47:30 was lovely- regrets about her injury right after. There were a lot of great girls who didn't make the 2012 team. It's easy to forget that Jordyn was still a junior- wish we could have seen the whole floor routine she did at 56:55. And, of course, it was good to see Becca performing well on beam at 59:00, before her later injury.
I don't know why Tim was talking about Aly getting a deduction for not selling her routine, he knows as well as we all do that the judges don't care about artistry anymore lol, sadly.
Hats off to Alicia Sacramone…..she’s amazing, and after her disappointment at the Beijing olympics, it’s great that she found the courage and strength to come back the way she has, and have that time of redemption that she feels she needs! She deserves it, and much love and best wishes to her! 😊 xxx
It’s so surprising to me that there are girls here that are such good gymnasts that they are at the Cover Girl Classic and I’ve never heard of them before now (or since) like Cassie Whitcomb or Amanda Jetter. Like everyone of these girls should be a household name! They deserve it! Also anyone hear the same music that Shawn Johnson used to use at 34:57?
I know she went onto a college career but was Kytra Hunter injured during the time of worlds? Because i dont see any other reason why she wouldnt be on the world team
She didn't make the world team since her and Aly basically filled exactly the same role and Aly was slightly better on every event- vault, beam, floor. Bringing both would have just been redundant. Hunter wouldn't have even been used in team finals on anything but maybe vault and they had a bunch of double yurchenkos on the team.
The full twisting double layout is already named the Chusovitina. The Biles is unique because the half twist is on the second layout and creates a blind landing. I don't know why they made such a big deal about the skill here unless the camera angle kept us from seeing it well. She wasn't fully laid out in the first layout.
Actually the big deal w Simone double is the physics of taking a half turn during the second flip. Apparently The spin of the body after 1 1/2 flips makes it more challenging.
Right! I was cringing the entire time. So hard to watch. She's just too nervous and definitely isn't a natural in any way. I felt e!embarrassed for her. Tim should be stopped with the questions as soon as he saw her struggling.
