      Thank you, appreciate it, glad it helped you out. It was a Edelbrock that I ended up selling. I have a GT500 Supercharger Ported by Kong with a few other goods. I'm always looking for a cheap Whipple to rebuild.

    Thanks for your hard work on the video ! Keep it up please ! Is there any particular reason that you chose those specific Ford parts ? MMR , I totally understand .

      Thanks, appreciate your reply.
      I got a good deal on the shortblock from a Ford vendor. Gen2 heads with Gen1 timing components are the best combo for my Gen1 setup. I like MMR parts, they have a good thing going. Haven't had any issues with them.

    Good info but crazy to see people spend money on the mmr guides and aftermarket valves but keep the stock valve springs. Stock guides have held up in 1500hp applications for a while.

      Thanks for the reply! You're absolutely correct. Stock guides are capable of over 1000++. As stated in the video, it was an impulse buy. With the Boss camshafts, the GEN2 springs will handle the 13mm lift.

    Got a good deal on a Gen 3 long block. Can I just swap Gen 1 timing components and be good? I don't really see people doing 3-3-1 builds for some reason

      I’m not an expert but you should be good. Take this with a grain of salt but people use gen 2 heads because they flow the best, however since you have a gen 3 long block you should be able to just slap gen 1 timing components and call it a day.

      I would do 3-2-1. Gen3 shortblock, gen2 heads, gen1 timing components. The gen2 heads were developed around the 302 Boss coyote and flow similar. Make sure you get some oil pump gears and arp hardware. Can't go wrong, you're already there.

      Gen 3 heads have a provision for the HP Pump that’s why.

    Where did your buy the valve covers?

    Do I have to use the arp bolts ? Can I get away using gen 1 12mm head bolts I’m doing same thing 3-2-1

    • @Oxman_Garage
      @Oxman_Garage  2 місяці тому

      It depends on what block you're using. Gen1 and 3 are 12mm bolts. You don't have to use arp. TTY bolts are fine too.

      @@Oxman_Garage I’m using a gen 3 block for my gen 1 and sorry about the question but what is TTY? I’m tryna do the swap but arp bolts are out of my budget for now lol

      @Oxman_Garage  Місяць тому

      Torque To Yeild. This are onr time uee bolts. You have to throw them out after you take them off the engine. The head bolts, cam cap bolts, main bolts, crank, oil pump, etc.

    Since you're using gen1 computer, do you suppose to time it as a gen 1?

    • @Oxman_Garage
      @Oxman_Garage  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes, correct. GEN1 timing components, cams, computer all together.

    Is the compression ratio affected ?

    • @Oxman_Garage
      @Oxman_Garage  7 місяців тому

      F150 blocks have lower compression through the generations. The GEN3 Mustang block has higher compression. All depends on the set up. With the set up in the video, yes the CNC ported cylinder heads will yield slightly lower compression.

    Why gen 2 heads rather then 3?
