I don’t want to sound mean, I’m sure you’re a wonderful person and artist, but this tutorial was a bit misleading. The turquoise shown to advertise the video was never achieved with the mixing. After mixing the first batch, there was “oops, that’s not the right blue.” Even the second batch was not the color advertised. I hope this is helpful criticism 🙏🏼

Adding white makes a 'tint', not a hue. White by definition is ALL colours. Mix the 3 primary colours together in the correct proportions and you will get black because paint is 'subtractive'. Mix the primary colurs of light together in the apprpriate proportions and you will get 'white light' because it is 'additive'. A difference in 'hue' is a difference in colour. A difference in 'tone' is a difference in lightness and darkness in the same colour. 'Tinting' as a term is only appropriate when white is used. If you lighten, say with a yellow, you change both the 'hue' and the 'tone'.
Still a good video on correct mixing though.

@@lovepraypaint Not a problem. I finally looked the terms up after writing an embarrassing article read by thousands of artists. You'd be amazed how many other people, with impeccable art credentials, get it wrong. Nowadays whenever I hear someone mention 'hue' I just know they're gonna get it wrong somewhere.

When you say 'primary yellow', was this a 'cool' or a 'warm' yellow; I find it hard to tell the difference, unless I'm told the shade. It looked like a cool lemon, but I'm not sure... Thanks for the video; I love turquoise.

I believe so except be careful of the undertones in the blue
This just show that blue is better then red
That's why I was getting the ugliest pastal baby blue and mint shades it's because of ultra marine omg u just saved my life ty so much

A tint is adding white
A value is the intensity of hue
A tone refers to whether it is bright or happy versus dreary or dark

FYI, you mixed up the definition of “hue” and “tone” which might confuse artists who are learning color theory
You have a lot of shadows its hard to see your colors you need to adjust your lighten better
