We were just at Joshua Tree and so glad we didn't see this video before then. We was just outside the south entrance and had a great spot. All was good for us while we was there.

That is very underrated as far as asking your kids where they want to spend Christmas and then because you're a nomad you can just make it happen.
I'm a retired teacher and coach, retiring in 2022, and I have been transporting RVs since then. So I am used to Towing an RV for 11 hours a day multiple days in a row until I deliver it. This will make shortening travel days much easier.
My wife can retire in February of 2026 and that is our plan to hit the road

Thanks for the reality check! We’re fully aware we’re deep in our delulu era right now, dreaming up all the things while still in our prep phase.😂But hey, isn’t that half the fun? We’ll get there…eventually. Probably with a few laughs (and chaos) along the way!

Every phase is great. Dreaming and planning is the best. Then a mix of amazing travel with wrenches and lessons thrown in. lol we love it all! Enjoy each part of the journey.

Very nice..especially Nawlins. My daughter was a sous chef at Mr B's in the French Quarter and loved it there. She got out right before Katrina.

Oh wow. Hats so cool but I’m glad she wasn’t there for Katrina. We could still see all the damage from it,

We just found out that we have been approved for our loan to get an Alliance Avenue 32RLS. We decided to go with a smaller RV for the moment so we can visit the New England states. Once my wife retires from teaching in 5 years will move up to a paradigm and go full-time traveling the rest of the US.

It was nice seeing you at he show, just through the window, but nice anyway. We bought a new 2024 F350 Dually in anticipation of purchasing a 5th wheel at the show. Naive of us thinking we're going to be pulling it back with us from the show. Our Paradigm 375RD is being finished off on the assembly line in Elkhart and hopefully down here in Florida by the end of the month.

lol loooong way but soooo worth it guys. I mean, let’s face it. How many people get to do what you get to do? I can honestly say very few ever get out of their little bubble. As for the long days, I can definitely relate as we just did 3 12-14 hour days to get back to Texas. But wow what a wonderful Christmas yall had. ❤❄️🤩🙏. Keep those wheels and memories rollin 😉

It was such great friends and family time but we won’t commit to that kind of mileage again😂

@ lol yeah that was a long way. But if you start out earlier and make smaller bites of the trip, I think it would be OK. I wish we had done that lol 😝

I think it'scalled biting off more than you can chew. Would you do it again or skip one of the two destinations? Go to NOLA and see friends in May.
Sounds like it worked out, but easily (broken X, accident, damage parking at night) could have been different story.
IMHO good decision in canceling the state park back in in the dark. Hard to do, we get so focused on goals.
