I have 24 amaryllis that I started from seed I saved from a plant after it bloomed 4 years ago. One of them is blooming now but I think the rest of them will probably bloom next year. It’s been an exciting and rewarding experiment!
Great video! Just got 5 bulbs in the mail & plan to plant them according to the info you gave in this video as Christmas gifts. Will pass your link on to my friends. THANK YOU!
Thanks for the tips! I lost half my collection due to that red spot virus/fungus? I put them outside to see if they did better than inside ones but they all developed the huge red spots on their leaves. The ones in the house have been doing amazingly well. Large leaves but no pups. I can't wait to see them rebloom over winter.
After a very good blooming bulbs have shrunk a lot almost half size। how these can be restored in normal size again. Please hellp jf any ferlizer will help and how much time it will take to revive. Next year it will bloom or not,
Hey I got a bulb from the store and the leaves that are coming out of the top are really light pale green do I cut those back? Or do I just leave them and thank you for your video
Hi Tyler. Hope all is well. I have a question. Why not all my amaryllis bulbs give me babies. Even if I have them in the same pot and receive the same care? And some bulbs get smaller. Thank you. Have a great day.
Hi Tyler, I have quite a few amaryllis babies and some are prob 3-5 years old but none of the babies have ever bloomed, my 2 mother bulbs Rebloom every year so I’m wondering what the secret is to getting the babies to bloom. Got any advice?
When my amaryllis was done blooming, I waited until the leaves did and then, I removed the bulb from the soil. Was that the wrong thing to do? She I replant it now or wait for late winter?
When will my amaryllis produce a baby bulb, do you have any tips or tricks. Does it produce baby bulbs randomly, I have a mature one that has produced two flower stalks. It is now in dormancy

You can leave those - as they begin to get light it will darken, so no need to remove them
@@TylerMossop thank U
Was gonna say it's time to put them in indirect sunlight ! 😃

Im not sure! It’s really about creating the best, most ideal conditions for the amaryllis.

The bulb needs to mature before it can bloom and flower, that’s usually a few years (~3 years). Hope this helps!

Check out some of the other videos I’ve done, I go through all the steps. No need to take it out of the soil even for dormancy
Hi I'm interested to know how to repot there is a worm that eats up my bulbs
I have amaryllis grow from seed. They are 2 years old. Do I let them go dormant like an older amaryllis. Thanks.
Great content.
Thx!!
Should new baby bulbs be put into dormancy in late summer?
I did put mine into dormancy
When will my amaryllis produce a baby bulb, do you have any tips or tricks. Does it produce baby bulbs randomly, I have a mature one that has produced two flower stalks. It is now in dormancy
Usually in the summer (after bloom, prior to dormancy)
@@TylerMossop Thank you by the way I live in a cold climate Canada Zone 5B if I leave it in the house year long can it still produce baby bulbs
