- This video is a walking tour of the downtown Red Deer, Alberta. Red Deer is a small city in central Alberta, with a population of around 101,000. This video also featured a visit to the downtown transit terminal: The Sorensen Transit Terminal.
Red Deer is located on Treaty 7 Territory, the homeland of the ᓀᐦᐃᔭᐤ ᐊᐢᑭᕀ Nêhiyaw-Askiy (Plains Cree), Ĩyãħé Nakón mąkóce (Stoney), Niitsítpiis-stahkoii ᖹᐟᒧᐧᐨᑯᐧ ᓴᐦᖾᐟ (Blackfoot / Niitsítapi ᖹᐟᒧᐧᒣᑯ), Tsuut’ina, Michif Piyii (Métis), and Cree.

Very little foot traffic for 100,000 people compared to Europe, despite not looking problematic. And no bike infrastructure at all; the (even fewer) cyclists use the empty sidewalks…
yep, there are lots of arts and other things to see but I assume the hot weather dissuaded people form coming out!
@@morethantransitt I just wanted to make a joke about the Canadian definition of "hot", but google gives me between 30 and 35°C for the next days - that's crazy for being so far North…
Yep a misconception about Canada is the summers are mild - nope they are not in some regions!

But this video was filmed on Saturday July 13th when the high temp was 24°C...
