The advantage with my grand caravan dodge is the seats fold into the floor. 06’. If you go a step farther and take out the seats it creates a great storage area and you can store your battery bank etc . Your a strong young woman. Follow your gut and be safe. Don’t be blind sided by evil.
Also I am a mechanic and from your description it almost sounds like a Mass airflow sensor issue. I am not really familiar with cars older than 97 but I have seen that issue on a lot of Chevy and its been a mass airflow sensor issue. But, it is always hard to diagnose something without seeing it, especially on a car that is OBD1 and not OBDII. Hopefully they get it fixed!
I second the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Find out which sensor the 1st shop switched out before buying a new Mass Air Flow Sensor. If that was already switched out, maybe Idle Air Control Valve.
@@TiaWeston nope not mass airflow... un plug mass air and youll see if thats the prob.... i bet its a spark plug driver side the hardest pug to get out so no one ever dose even shops when they do a tune up.... ya its hard to get but you can... i think cap rotter all new spark plugs with wires..... and thta hard to get spark plug thats never changed on aerostars..! car wont die with a bad mass air flow...! then sea foam your intake and gas.... i have a 1995.. and had a 1992 and a 1989.... lolol

I'm not positive if it was YOU that I had commented to about that stove/oven combo that you've got. I have the same one and I LOVE it! The oven not so much as it just gets TOOOOO hot!!! I've read that the pizza stone helps to distribute the heat more evenly I see you have one so I'm excited to see you try it out!!! Hope the van is fixed (I can't jump ahead to the next video yet lol) Best wishes
I have a 1993 dodge CARAVAN. The reason why your van drives and stalls is because you need to change your gas bump in the gas tank and clean the gas tank once the gas tank is empty. Put the new gas pump in and new gas. You will be fine. Good luck.
Love this channel! Just bought a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan I need to get it set up- ordered a flexi solar panel 100w for the roof last night and a battery bank 250w so I’m excited
Lisa Love well the price lol, I ABSOLUTELY will switch over to an odyssey or sienna someday bc the brands are so reliable. But getting my feet in the water per say a while. Was a great great deal! So until I save to switch over this will have to do- I would recommend Toyota or Honda though for sure!
Never spray a pan when there is an open flame. Spray your pan before you light your stove. Good to see you had no problem that was because the flame was low. You can start a serious fire due to the aerosol’s in the can. Please stay safe and spray your pan before you start your stove or take the pan away from the flame and spray it. I’d love to see you having fun I hope you find the problem with the van.
I had an older car, and i took it for a tune up, and they messed with the gas/air mixture? So when I got the car back it would stall when I slowed down. It was Really difficult to get it back to how it was before they messed with it. Idk, but maybe its your gas/air mixture.
@@annalake4376 Yes. You should have 1, 2, and 3rd gear. I have a ford 150 2009 automatic transmission and whenever I'd get in slow traffic on the freeway, I'd shift to 3rd if the moving speed permits and the slower the traffic, I'd use the gear shift and shift lower until I was finally down to 1st. I'd keep it in first until speed permitted. The gears on automatics are used usually when climbing hills because the engine isn't powerful enough to climb in Drive. But when my car kept stalling even in city traffic I shift out of drive to a lower gear. It seemed to not have a problem in drive if I could go faster than 35. It does work and it'll keep the car from stalling. It'll keep you going until the mechanic figures out why you are stalling.
Had a '95 SHO with a V6 that would do the dying thing. Finally changed the IAC valve and that stopped the problem for 6 months. A windstorm slamming the carport on top of the SHO convinced me to replace it. Best of luck with your adventure.
I know Aerostars very well. I have a 91 with a 3.0 engine. And a 96 AWD 4.0. When you're experiencing stalling at low speeds. Is the gas tank around 1/4 full? Does it seldomly occur when the tank is full? I am willing to bet this is a fuel issue or a PCV valve issue. Reply back with your answer so I can point at the true culprit. Seriously doubt it's a sensor issue. And you can do the job yourself when your at a campsite.

I got a 1994 ford aerostar 4x4. I have seen every video and I had the same issue and it turned out it was 2 spark plug wires where in the wrong spot after I did a tune up. Sometimes a problem can set different problem. I’ve been working on cars for over 40 years. Your van is old and can’t stand the ethanol in the gas. Use a fuel system cleaner and clean the fuel system. I’Reillys sells a Techron fuel system cleaner that works well in my 97 explorer. This you use once every 3 months. Mine quit doing it.
