The thing is John had the opportunity to access The Machines knowledge, he didn't. He only speaks to her to request help for other people. But she always comes in for him.
Yesss. But John isn't like Root. He could use The Machine any time he wants. He asks when he's desperate and she will respond and rescue him. Even in the end they have an understanding.
@@ahu747 John knows the power of The Machine and he treats her like a sentient being. Root treats her like a God. Root talks to her constantly but John chooses to leave her be.
0:36-0:37 Just a split-second shot, but how insanely GOOD it is. How it conveys the feeling of John being literal hand of Machine in the moment, no hesitations, no room for mistake, perfect, inhuman efficiency. PoI is amazing show and i crave for more.
They really worked on it to show his instincts. Every protagonist shots has to be accurate 😅 but Fusco's interval isn't as close as John's. The order of John > Root > Fusco. I think they made Shaw's the quickest esp her double taps are unrealistically quick. GOAT series, very underrated.
@@RensuneI don't think so, John is the only one who never personified the machine. Harold after much much hesitation and direct arguments with Root, he finally does it in series penultimate episode when talking to Samaritan. John trusts it, mainly because he trusts Harold and views Machine as just that a machine, unlike say Samantha who from day 1 has a more "intimate" view of the machine.
After an entire episode of seeing John and Fusco getting tortured by these jackasses it's nice to see The Machine step in and save her assets...plus Reese is a badass ;)
Fusco's character arc is one of THE best ever in not just TV series but in entire show biz and the actor earned it. When Taraji Henson quit the show midway, in her send off episodes, Kevin Chapman was given weightage and he frickin nailed it, from then he did nothing but shine

😠This is one of the greatest scene of all. for one thing there was no way Dominic would be able to get to the machine let alone control it. By the way Reese gets shot so many times that he don't even now he's shot. John did say"when I get shot I get mad".That screwdrive in the shoulder was enough pain.😣 Chirp

Honestly I agree with you but not a reboot. How do you feel about a continuation of the series. I always had this crazy fun fiction idea that the machine would enter into a cloned body made out of harold's DNA. Then Harold would truly had a daughter. And I don't know why but I always thought that melissa benoist would have been great choice for a human machine. That's just my crazy thoughts.
I think a continuation is possible. We already know The Machine has other assets in other parts of the USA helping her out so they can do a spinoff based on those assets
Nah its a miracle we got this as legendary it was in the era it was anything now would just be consumed with propaganda and social justice/ racial/feminists etc etc nonsense. Just grateful this show is how great it is.
The show was ahead of its time. Not just coz it was about AI but it talked about some real important stuff way ahead, things that are now in mainstream. I don't want a reboot. Cash grab execs will ruin it. Besides John Nolan is busy with another project "Fallout".
@@GokulOnFire Not only did it talk about AI stuff ahead, the episode "No Good Deed" practically predicted the whole Edward Snowden thing that happened years ago
I like this movie but there is a one fail scene about 4 seasons. How can Reese kick with his ropped knee? He kicked that man and there is a rope still on his knee.
+Ahmet Hakan Çubukçu The Machine's first command on the fax was "Sharp Right Leg." It saw that with a sharp movement John could break the binding on his right leg. The frame where he cuts the binding on his leg, that's meant to be the left leg he's freeing
I think by the time the machine started giving instructions he already separated his leg from the chair, you it was not attached with the chair, he just let the bind slip from his leg later.

"Can You Hear Me?"
"Hell yes!"
The chills were real 🥶
As somebody who's been binging this in quarantine, I got legit chills when that voice chimed in
"Can. You. Hear. Me?"
PoI was a terrific show. Great choice for quarantine.
What did you think about the flu episode ?
Hell yes
I keep imagining it as lyrics to the show's theme leitmotif:
"CAN-YOU-HEAR-ME-NOW"
"CAN-YOU-HEAR-ME-NOW"
"CAN-YOU-HEAR-ME-NOW"
This and the beginning of s2's finale I think it was, where the intro gets fucked up. YOU ARE BEING WA- WA- WA- WA- WA-

The Machine has got to be one of the most underrated AIs in sci-fi.
The machine loves John. Especially in the end.
My favorite part of the finale. It's fun seeing somebody besides Root in God Mode.

Also the fact he is literally firing from hip. Not even really aiming with the sights
It helps that he trusts the Machine by this point, and even views him as a friend

This show is a hidden gem
This was an ultra mega epic awesome great scene!!!!!!!!!!
Yes it was. I love that look on his face when he realized it was the machine talking to him.
Been looking for this for so long!
M'Baku, what are you doing here?
Before Mbakku get famous
god mode was always the fun part of the show
This and the first-meet with Bear are my fav scenes
Except Reese could have shot those guys quicker without God Mode, as he could see them. Using the fax machine was still cool though.
+oxmys the thing is not to be faster, but "on time"
+Charlouf it must look like a lawful shooting in case there are cameras that could be looked at
I think he was calculating his moves to not hurt Elias, the machine created a distraction and also gave him tactics!
I think they machine calculated on who would be able to respond first and shoot at Reese so the machine told him to shoot the first responders
Badass. Period!
Taking instructions from the printer😂
Machine: "sends imporatant data to fax"
fax: Ink Low, refil.

The entire show is God mode, but this scene holy absolute fuck
As good as this scene is, there's one problem. For the final shot the Machine says one o clock but Reese moves the gun to his left.
Don' t care, still badass
Agent Whiskey True
That's not a problem, it's just Reese ignoring the machine telling him to shoot Dominic instead of the henchman.
My guess is that the Machine was reading the way Reese moves his head
years late I know, but machine says 10, 3, 1, I guess to go from 3 to 1, to need to move your hand left, anti clockwise
