    The 4 door, V6, 6MT was such a brilliant combination. I just wish more people would've bought them. Great video!

    • @JrVtec
      @JrVtec 5 років тому +3

      Definitely, If it would have sold out quick they would have kept making it, Would have been a sick combination in the 9th Gen (Wouldn't be impossible to do a 6 Speed swap from the Coupe though), I'd say the 2018 2.0T 6 Speed is a worthy replacement though considering the aftermarket for it already surpassed what the V6 was getting. Hopefully social media can push it to keep the sales up. Sometimes something doesn't sell because people didn't know it existed lol.

    I bought one a couple months ago with 120k, these are really great cars. Decent gas mileage, enough power to get out of your own way and then some, comfortable, spacious, and flat out fun to drive. Get some bigger brakes for the front though, it makes a big difference.

    Currently driving the 2-door version of the V6 manual 6. This model was built to last, is very solid and drives like a rocket. Goggled the VIN one day and found a video on YT of the same car for sale in Kansas. Car now lives in Texas. Don't know who gave it up, but just wanted to say thanks for selling it to someone in Texas who sold it to me.

    The 6-6 sedans from 2006-07 are becoming rare and expensive. I found a 2006 EX k24 5M, car was a fixer. Nice, but still on the lookout for a 6-6. I had to do ball joints, CV axle, alternator, rear shock/strut combo. Nothing really like it today (relatively light car, sporty ride and quick for its age). The k24 manual is about 2 sec slower 0-60 than the V6, 7.5 sec.

    • @codyspear1263
      @codyspear1263 Рік тому

      As someone who's owned the k24 5 speed and the j30 6 speed, that 2 seconds is like night and day. I also slapped in a j32 in place of the j30 though, but even before I swapped the engine it's a huge difference. They really should have offered the TSX k24 for the accord, that would have almost been as good as the j30.

    How is the steering amd handling? And hows the F/E... I had a 2008 TL and currently have a 2011 Kia Optima and I want a 7gen Accord... I always have... I also have a 2007 Acura RDX, I'd like to know how they'd compare...

    • @IRWAutomotive
      @IRWAutomotive  6 років тому

      I've driven the 2004-2008 Acura TL and I'd say the 7th gen Accord V6 is pretty similar overall. Handling is respectable and steering is hydraulic and kind of on the heavier side especially at low speeds. I mainly remember the TL having a quieter ride, more luxurious seats, and slightly more power. Fuel Economy is about what you would expect, highway mileage is usually 27-28 MPG and city mileage is around 20 MPG or so, but I use a performance all-season tire so a more economy-minded tire would probably improve mileage.

      @@IRWAutomotive Thanks!!! My 2007 RDX has precise, light steering that gets heavy when stopped or on the highway... My TL had very heavy steering... I once got 32.9 on the highway in the TL! Main problems with my TL was that it was big and low, it was very heavy and it showed in the cars handling... It just felt heavy... Very bad turning radius... I traded it for a 2011 Kia Optima, which is a nice car, but I miss that Honda feel and I'm trying to cross shop them along with the TSX... I've been around them all and drove them in a parking lot but that really doesn't say much about driving dynamics... Would you say the Accord feels lighter?
