Star Wars Hunters Review - The Final Verdict

- Star Wars: Hunters is a surprisingly fun hero shooter wrapped around a somewhat aggressive live-service model. The movement is really smooth, providing instantaneous spinning and precise aiming.
And if you’re a prequel or original trilogy fan, you’re in luck because the games provide lots of references and gimmicks from those Star Wars eras. There are bright store banners across every menu in Star Wars: Hunters, and the push to buy exclusive items is overkill.
Despite the live-service monetization, the game’s progression is entirely accessible without paying anything. Characters are unlocked in a linear and drip-fed manner, but it doesn’t take too long to unlock them if you’re winning matches. The core gunplay, personality of the characters, and wonderful aesthetic provide an experience worth checking out as long as you can ignore the live- service stuff.
This game is so good. For the devs first game of this type they have done better than the top studios making shooters.

LOL exactly. People don't understand that if you like a game you can support it. Being F2P isn't a bad thing. Zynga has the still compete with other F2P games, so Zynga will keep supporting it

This game is awesome. Each character feels different. The best characters are attacks or defenders. The support characters need more abilities
I beg to differ. The support characters are really important and a good support can carry the entire team.

@@andres18ism yeah they are support characters. You shouldn’t be 1v1 with them. Still though good enough players can still win in a 1v1 with a support character
@@andres18ism sure; if you're trying to go toe-to-toe with them (which you shouldn't be doing w/ support class anyways).....but Zaina has a heavy blaster that can def take out enemies & a nifty dodge roll; & Skora can stick & move with that speed boost. He gets around the map quick af & self-heals out of combat. I have controlled the flow of the match on a few different occasions with them & even came out w/ a decent amount of kills
I really like it so far. Looking forward to how they build on this game. I don’t blame them for promoting you to buy from the shop…it’s FREE to play. At least it’s on pay to WIN.
Thank God this game came out! I can finally stop playing overwatch and being miserable. This game is really fun!
I personally like this game. The grind is long tho.
Also they give you alot of credits but they only gave me knew skin to buy so far. There are a fair amount of free skins that you get from leveling your character.
The graphics are pretty good considering it's a mobile game. I phone gets firey hot while playing this game.

@epiclight858 alot of tasks can take a while. I still haven't unlocked all the characters. The arena pass will take me a while.
People play games at different paces. If you've completed most things thst kind of sucks.
One of my tasks is to spend 2.5k credits and I allready bought the 2 things in the store that you could buy with credits so I can't complete that quest yet.
I'm also not max rank yet.
There's going to be more weekly tasks in a couple days.
They are nerfing hunters. They ruined J3di hunter on phone. Now they added a button you have to hold to attack. You can't attack 360 anymore he is unplayable on a phone now.
Just jumped in last night, game is very fun. Put in a good 5 hrs so far and really made me realize I miss hero shooters.
Game is fun AF. As a certified day 1 reveal hater I can attest to this. Matches are nice and short and I don't feel like I have to sit and commit a lot of time to it. Characters feel good to play, I think the roster mostly suffers from underpowered characters that need to be brought up to speed rather than characters who need outright nerfs. The roster is also pretty fun, lots of characters that I can't imagine existing in other SW media but can easily fit in here, the room for creativity is endless - there's a goddamn Ugnaught piloting a Droideka and two Jawas in a trenchcoat.
Next: Gungan with grenade launcher or a Twi'lek

The characters with lightsaber they feels good to play I recommend to play on the switch for the controllers
Runs better on mobile and it has built in controller support. I use a razer edge.

@ghostdog3566 i use the backbone controller with samsung ultra s24. Looks better on mobile and is smoother than switch. My son has the switch and we play together.

Lightsabers feel so good in this game
Its actually a great game
with microtransactions that cost $2 when you have other video games telling you that a single skin is worth $80, this battle pass cost $12 compared to other battle passes that cost you $30 or like Destiny where you have to buy every single season again.
This game was made by Zynga without any other people support, you say it's fomo but you're going to be able to unlock everything later on in the game so you're lying.
Crystal currency a boost to buy a charter, and for cosmetics coins are for cosmetics.
The game is extremely balanced and actually is a lot of fun
$2 for littery Like 2 or 3 bundles and you never see Cheap bundles like that again... rest are like $10+ $20+

Th grind is not long at all to inlock characters. I onlyy have 4 more to unlock and ive only been playing 30-60min a day

I notice the level of comp is not rare too come around but shitt I came from playing cod and be wanting that adversity, I was definitely surprised with how smooth the shooting mechanics were and probably why I keep coming back
The matches are short & sweet too. I love it. I’ve been playing fortnite for years and it’s nice to take a break. I hate COD.
game is fun to play i have it on my phone and switch yeah it sucks it has in game purchase but overall its a great game if youre like me and was never on board or cared about dlc or this online crystal purchases for cosmetics

Pls update the currency shop...I get the mtx but cmon the only thing you can buy with in-game currency is a skin for a hunter you have to buy with irl money, sure you have the off chance to play aran tal in the mashup clash but it didnt equip that skin after I bought & equip it ,thats just not cool lol.
I’ve been having a good time with it but playing a Star Wars game that isn’t p2w is throwing me off.

I know hero shooters are a dime a dozen but if you have been avoiding them like me but you still want to try one this game is actually a lot of fun, its just unfortunately full of micro transactions and other greedy BS.

Yeahhhh nah. Original SWG was amazing. Sure combat wasn’t the best and balance wasn’t perfect but SWG was the best MMORPG ever at its best.

More people would play it if they didn't make u play just to unlock game-modes and maps. All characters should be available too then have the grind be on weapons and abilities. For not being pay to win it sure sounds like the want you to pay.

@clash4cityrocker Respawn has already made 3 games for Disney/Lucas with the Star Wars ip, and there is a rumor they are working on one now that will be a fps and use the same game engine as Apex Legends with a similar battle royale only themed to the star wars universe. When I first downloaded this trash I thought this was that game, but apparently it hasn't come out yet. Let's hope it comes out soon.

The game is shit u cant even customise ur control layout .graphics and movements are clunky which they had 2 to 3 yrs of alpha and beta testing which at the same time T3 ARENA started around the same time with them and T3 ARENA is far better than this crap. I waited for GLOBAL RELEASE for so long thinking they were going to blow T3 ARENA out of the way. If it wasn't for the name STARWARS most pple wud not even notice this game what a huge disappointment🤢🤮🤮
