As the ancient warrior of old prepares for battle, he sees the enemy marching over the distant braes, and with a rebel cry of glee, he charges out to meet their approach!
Excellent as always :) The fact that more and more instruments tune in as the main instrument for the melody, fits very well to the theme. It is like every voice represents a warrior arriving at the battlefield.
Pardon my saying so, but it seems like you're trying to get a little bagpipe vibe at the start. It's not the drone I miss, it's what they call the grace notes - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grace_note which the bagpipe does so beautifully. They're called gaitas in Spanish Galicia and gajdas in Eastern Europe - both regions with historical connections to the Celts and it's worth listening to the Galician band Milladoiro and the Serbian Group Stupovi (especially Rodjenje Bogorodice) if you want to hear something which sounds different but related to what Fred Morrison does - I recommend listening to them.
@@BrandonFiechter i want to thank you after more than 4 years because now me and my friends are almost 22 and we don’t see each other very often as we used to do when we were in highschool but “Celtic warriors” will remain a memory of the happy times when we used to play it because it was so cool and epic to listen, and also a bit odd considering that we were a group of Italian teenagers and this music isn’t in our traditions. This song was with us when we were creating happy memories, thank you!
Im am from Scotland, and i actually really appreciate this music. Reminds me of my grandfather that always listened to this
