- Jamie Orr is no stranger to weird and rare Volkswagens, and his Golf Country is no exception. The Golf Country was a factory-sold car in Europe in the ’90s featuring an all-wheel-drive Syncro system and a bespoke lift kit mated to the Mark II VW body.

Rumor has it he's still driving up that same hill over and over and over to this day...
JAMIE! this guy is such a vw nut! he's got some of the coolest vws you can possibly get in the states!
and i know the guy who originally built the Fox in Lemons, he's still doing insane vw builds, currently stuffing a 2.5 into a mk3. that fox recently raced a lemons event, it's still alive!
I never noticed before that the country had g60 arches. Learn something new every day.
Just like my Crosstrek! Cool as can be.
My dream stable: NA miata for autoX synchro VW Westy or Doka for weekends, and this freaking thing for a daily. And please let me do this in CO, UT, ID, MT, or something. My venmo is... LOL
Anyway, what a fun car.
The first ever crossover
Love that lil beast! too bad it didnt get the 16v
It all started with the VW Zonker. A 16v syncro with a Callaway turbo, in fly yellow.
man they should being this back and here in the states, It will be Subaru's competition to the Trek. A raised Golf hatchback
Love your spirit.
By any chance anyone reads my comment, is there a similar car that i can buy that isnt so rare and quiet expensive ?
I bet there must be a japanese car ?
Ps. i will not buy french cars ! ^^ Or at least it must be outstandingly brilliant.(which is impossible)
Keep it up, new Subscriber from Germany ♥
Fiat Panda 4x4. But compared to the Golf Country do not expect the same quality interior nor rust protection...
And by some strange reason Japaneses LOOOOOOOVE the Panda 4x4.
I own a Country and it's a fun and strange car
@@klausschaeffer365 Fiat and rust :D "Let them sit until they rust and then paint them"
Maybe the Japanese love him because of the name :D
Thanks for the comment btw i know the panda but the quality isnt matching the insane price people nowdays want.
@@MrJust2times hahaha you are 100% right.
There is a similar oddball to the Country, a Mk1 Cabrio with similar preparation made by an italian company, the Biagini Passo
@@klausschaeffer365 Biagini looks funky :D
Thanks but the Country is just better.
In a few years a can afford one, i am sure.
Have fun with your Country ♥
