Rockstar made a compact, sedan, and coupes class. But for some reason, you'll find a bunch of new releases that would've been so much better suited for those classes, thrown into the Sports class, where they are woefully behind... Nice one Rockstar.

Completely agree that the slowest cars in this class should be moved to Compacts, Coupes and Sedans and some of the fastest cars should be moved to Supers.
None of the cars belong in supers. However, I do agree with moving some of the lower cars to compacts. Especially the Blista COMPACT, the Futo, and the Sugoi.
I think rockstar in their wisdom think that no one will buy a car unless it is a sport car. Hence why the sedans and coupes never get added to. They would be deemed as a boring option. However as a racer if a new faster coupe was brought out i would buy it so I can be competitive. The sport class is stupidly big and redundant right now, you are right.
@@unluckyabsol I didn't even realise that. As their from the base game I can forgive that as a development oversight though, whereas these new details are just rockstars sheer laziness
either that or they just abandoned it because it's easier to just throw everything that's faster than a sedan in sports or sports classic if the cars is from the 90's or before
I mean "technically", the Ferrari 812 Superfast in real life is considered a sports car, it just has ridiculous super car like performance. Cars have gotten drastically better in real life in the ~7 years that this game has been out, and it kind of makes sense that they get better on GTA as well. My only complaint would be the ridiculous prices they put on cars now.

Yeah, R* and their class allocations. I see two ways to fix this issue: a) Rework it or b) Give creators the option to provide a custom selection of cars for their race independent of vehicle class, they're evidently more skilled at providing a balanced vehicle selection than R* could ever be.
@@hoche27 I think you misunderstood. What I was saying is give people the option to provide a selection out of ALL cars, not just limit the options within the class. That would circumvent R*s horrible class allocations.

Feltzer was my all-time favourite racing car and used it religious back in the first 5 years of GTA so bittersweet to see it still in 11th (as of 2020). When the massarano (race) car was released I did switch so shocked so see that lower in the list! Great video.
The neo really got shafted. For a car so high up the rankings I've never seen it before, in races or free roam. You'd think a car that good would get used at least a little bit.
It really is quite difficult to get the best out of though. Very oversteery but also the all wheel drive seems to blunt the steering response when trying to correct the slide.
The thing is that if Rockstar puts new vehicles in other classes now, it would be unfair because they would absolutly destroy their classes or being destroyed by OG vehicles. What Rockstar has to do is a complete reorganisation of their classes with new subclasses to finally have a correct pace in all the classes
couple of highlights for me were; seeing the non-raceable* cars at the start of the video, the discussion of sub-classes which was almost a Broughy rant, being surprised to see the original Sultan still in 40th position (i still remember hunting that down as a rare spawn outside the prison), realising just how many later additions went from being the new hotness** to getting relegated to mid-pack (Seven-70, Shafter V12), finding out that the Sterling being available in Sports races isn't a bug and finally, seeing Tony's favourite car picture-in-picture alongside the Itali -- quality video all round *not a real word ** also not a real word

I think the reason you can use the Stirling GT in sports races is that, in the code, it is considered a variant of the Feltzer. It's named feltzer2 or something like that. Also explains why it's next to the Feltzer in the vehicle selection list.
Amazing work as usual man. Thanks to you I've decided to do class garages. Eclipse high end garage will be reserverd for supers, nightclub for sports and muscle, arcade for sports classics, and so on
it's a shame Maibatsu Penumbra is so slow on the list. Such a great looking car based of Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (2006), one of my favourite cars but sadly not viable for racing.
Although the Itali is the quickest sports car with bumps,but in stunt races it is actually quite difficult to drive.Because most of the time when you exit those tubes,you’ll go way quicker than other cars from the same class and because those stunt races tracks are made for older generation sports car which they are much slower so the Itali can surpass the exit speed from those tubes and go off the track most of time if you want to push as hard as possible o get the quickest lap time.Me personally love the Itali GTO a lot,it’s probably even my fav sports car,I just hope R* can add more stunt races that allow us to push the Itali as hard as possible without flying off the tracks al the time.
I'm surprised you did Sports before Muscles because maybe, when Rockstart adds the F1 cars in the new Open Wheels class, they may actually think about adding a Rally class or move cars around to where they would be better suited in terms of looks or performance. Or maybe allow vehicles to be used in races where they would be eligible to compete in.
You know Broughy, you should make a video reorganizing the vehicles into competitive, or at least correct, classes. I’m curious how the game could look and I’m sure others are too! When you actually have time that is lmao
Quick question when will the spreadsheet be updated? Me and my friends race on the community verified tracks a lot and use the spreadsheet as a guide to choose what 3-4 cars to use in a race. It'd be nice if it was as up to date as the videos you put out. I know your busy and appreciate all you do for the community so I hope I don't sound like I'm complaining just wondering if you had a timeline for when it might get done. This is why I only own a few sports cars on gta I got the pariah itali gto and Issi sport for racing and I got a handful of other sport cars that I really like the look of like the elergy retro and sultan classic not wasting my money
Just cut the class in 4 parts 1._ top 20 (supersportscars) 2._ top 21 to top 40 (sports) 3._top 41 to top 60 (sport sedans) 4 all rally cars (sport rally)
i don't know why they don't make more classes and rearrange it all... it would even make sense, and i hate to say it, from their selling shark cards standpoint because youd need more cars to be competitive in each class
I have made a Pariah setup thanks to your Website and your Vids. Fujiwara wheels and full neon with the third biggest thing. its a rocket one the straight but even corners are decent which got me few wins against gtos and rsx s.

From what I remember yes. Are you basing this on it’s relative performance to other rally cars like the omnis and tropos in rallycross races? Because it’s significantly better due to it’s better ORTL and acceleration giving it the edge in those type of races. I’ll try to give it another run though.
@@broughy1322 - Just from lots of experience racing it around road circuits. It hangs with the 1:05 group all the time, including the Carbonizzare, Verlierer, Banshee and Coquette. It just didn't seem right that it was a good second or so off here.

I am currently on Neo and Comet SR due to Lucky Wheel winnings. But I rarely do good racing so that is all I am happy with today. I will try to sign up for one of your creator streams and just have fun doing proper racing.
I seriously hope we get LESS sports cars in the coming updates because 70 cars in ONE catagory is just plain ridiculous. I want more Harley Davidson style bikes like cruisers and the like as we only have ONE update for the Motorcycle Club crews is a massive slap in the face for those players.
Easiest thing for rockstar to do would be to just split the sports class into ‘A’ B’ and ‘C’ subclasses, so simple to do for them, and would make people buy more cars to be competitive in each sport subclass. It’d be such an easy win for them to sell more shark cards. It’d also mean I could race some of my favourite cars in the class without always losing to someone in a GTO. As always top work Broughy!
What’s funny about this is I know nothing about cars but the way you explain videos and how rockstar initially set up vehicle classes in this game , it would have been easy to follow what car goes in what class if rockstar just put them in they’re respective class. But they screwed the whole thing up and now it’s all in disarray even though they set themselves up for it to be categorized in a simple way. They really have no idea what they’re doing. It’s quite astonishing
yes, the in-game statistics are highly inaccurate, you want all the upgrades. performance upgrades btw do actually increase top speed even though it only shows that it improves acceleration.
The sports car class have a lot of great vehicles in it but unfortunately the pariah and gto dominate the entire class which i hate cause i just to loved using the jester and the massacro in sport car races
I always wanted an Issi Sport just because i thought it looked neat. Knowing that it's one of the best sports cars in the game makes me want it even more.
The one class that needs a full revamp. It’s priceless that R* just throws whatever the fuck they want in here without rigorous testing of their performance
To think that the Imorgen would be #1 if not for the bounciness flags being toned down with the casino update... What a weird world Rockstar is creating.

It has amazing acceleration, but it is a nightmare to drive. I tried it in some (stunt)races, but since then it just sits in my garage.

Massive changes always piss off the player base.

I think my pariah is still a great budget sports car which is great to handle and has better topspeed than the issi
I love my little Issi Sport. For less than a million bucks (initially), you get a car that's more than capable of putting noobs in Pariahs to shame.

Although the Itali is the quickest sports car with bumps,but in stunt races it is actually quite difficult to drive.Because most of the time when you exit those tubes,you’ll go way quicker than other cars from the same class and because those stunt races tracks are made for older generation sports car which they are much slower so the Itali can surpass the exit speed from those tubes and go off the track most of time if you want to push as hard as possible o get the quickest lap time.Me personally love the Itali GTO a lot,it’s probably even my fav sports car,I just hope R* can add more stunt races that allow us to push the Itali as hard as possible without flying off the tracks al the time.
I'm surprised you did Sports before Muscles because maybe, when Rockstart adds the F1 cars in the new Open Wheels class, they may actually think about adding a Rally class or move cars around to where they would be better suited in terms of looks or performance. Or maybe allow vehicles to be used in races where they would be eligible to compete in.

Quick question when will the spreadsheet be updated? Me and my friends race on the community verified tracks a lot and use the spreadsheet as a guide to choose what 3-4 cars to use in a race. It'd be nice if it was as up to date as the videos you put out. I know your busy and appreciate all you do for the community so I hope I don't sound like I'm complaining just wondering if you had a timeline for when it might get done. 1._ top 20 (supersportscars)
2._ top 21 to top 40 (sports)
3._top 41 to top 60 (sport sedans)
4 all rally cars (sport rally)
Top 5: Straight into supercars
i don't know why they don't make more classes and rearrange it all... it would even make sense, and i hate to say it, from their selling shark cards standpoint because youd need more cars to be competitive in each class
I have made a Pariah setup thanks to your Website and your Vids. Fujiwara wheels and full neon with the third biggest thing. its a rocket one the straight but even corners are decent which got me few wins against gtos and rsx s.

From what I remember yes. Are you basing this on it’s relative performance to other rally cars like the omnis and tropos in rallycross races? Because it’s significantly better due to it’s better ORTL and acceleration giving it the edge in those type of races. I’ll try to give it another run though.
@@broughy1322 - Just from lots of experience racing it around road circuits. It hangs with the 1:05 group all the time, including the Carbonizzare, Verlierer, Banshee and Coquette. It just didn't seem right that it was a good second or so off here.
That's because of Catch Up option and Slip Stream option, both which are not part of Broughy's tests.
Tabbalco sorry but cirrus is from the competitive racing community, where catchup or slipstream are never used unless it's not a serious race

I seriously hope we get LESS sports cars in the coming updates because 70 cars in ONE catagory is just plain ridiculous. I want more Harley Davidson style bikes like cruisers and the like as we only have ONE update for the Motorcycle Club crews is a massive slap in the face for those players.

i pretty much use only the Itali GTO and the Issi Sport (for tight or all off road tracks)
Easiest thing for rockstar to do would be to just split the sports class into ‘A’ B’ and ‘C’ subclasses, so simple to do for them, and would make people buy more cars to be competitive in each sport subclass. It’d be such an easy win for them to sell more shark cards. It’d also mean I could race some of my favourite cars in the class without always losing to someone in a GTO. As always top work Broughy!
What’s funny about this is I know nothing about cars but the way you explain videos and how rockstar initially set up vehicle classes in this game , it would have been easy to follow what car goes in what class if rockstar just put them in they’re respective class. But they screwed the whole thing up and now it’s all in disarray even though they set themselves up for it to be categorized in a simple way. They really have no idea what they’re doing. It’s quite astonishing

yes, the in-game statistics are highly inaccurate, you want all the upgrades. performance upgrades btw do actually increase top speed even though it only shows that it improves acceleration.

Why the Itali GTO isn't in the Supers class is beyond me
Its fitting, it only goes that fast because its weird physics, top speed is shitty and handles like crazy (in a bad way)
The one class that needs a full revamp. It’s priceless that R* just throws whatever the fuck they want in here without rigorous testing of their performance
