Can you check the RSX again with the fixed wings? I tried again a week ago and it seems they might have fixed the issue with the fixed wings not working. Now there’s a noticeable increase in grip with fixed wings installed.
Outside of racing, notice the Stinger TT and the La Coureuse are both Imani vehicles, only difference is that the La Coureuse is the “fragile agile” that’ll blow up by one explosive or two, whereas the Stinger TT despite it being a dragster, is still an elusive tank on wheels. So, all business (Imani), all pleasure (HSW). It’s crazy to me really. Thanks for the testing Broughy.
It's probably been mentioned before, but colour coding the classes was a great touch. It flows beautifully from one colour to the next and keeps even the background interesting. Great job once again! Edit for the horrible typo 😅
@@Phulax. For good reason, otherwise people could edit it to say something horrible to pretend like the creator endorses it. Don't fret, maybe the real ❤ was the friends we made along the way…
Beware for anyone that’s trying to race using the HSW La Coureuse for stunt races due to the car has way too much weight or downforce that in stunt races such as “Stunt - In the City” and “Stunt - Big Drop” it struggles to reach the platform after the jump. For that reason I’d recommend sticking to something like GTO or Stinger TT if you know the race you’re doing has big jumps and ramps, but otherwise then you’ll be safe using La Coureuse (safe example such as “Stunt - H200” and “Stunt - Bridge Too Far”).
it has nothing to do with weight or downforce, neither value are particularly high and neither actually affect the way the car goes through the air. It has 20% increased gravity and I think the way it's set up handling-wise means it doesn't get as much speed from boosts/downhills (don't take this second bit as fact though)

Having taken on a lot video editing myself recently I have a much greater appreciation for this video and it's colossal number of moving parts. good job Brough.
I'm sure this is definitely the longest video for this series and probably out much later than originally anticipated but it was definitely worth the wait and I'm glad I can finally see how many sports cars are in the game and what can be useful in races. Again, there are some cool customizations you have on your cars like the purple on the La Coureuse and those offroad tires which look like the modern day Raider tires. Seeing as muscles is the next class (and doesn't have over 100 cars), I hope it won't be as stressful to edit but of course, take your time.
It's such a shame the 4-door cars in sports (like the V-STR, Komoda) aren't available in sedans races. Last year a friend & I began using our own 'Sports Sedan' class for race events, consisting of the 4-door cars from the sports class (excluding the Neon, it's rather OP). (The largest winning margin came from a track which (most unexpectedly) suited the Raiden particularly well, despite having a long straight and not being particularly twisty. But it is usually a bit off the top of the class for the tracks we race.)
This is hands down the best and most complete race testing video for GTA cars! Absolutely amazing work Brough! Looking forward to the other complete class videos :)
You know Broughy I've been watching your tests from the begining. In the best racers that I know, many have criticized your tests and yet it. But none of them is capable of reproducing with so much methodology your tests which are based on one and the same method is based but they basef their ability to obtain a better time than you on a single lap with a specific vehicle. you say it yourself your method is not perfect but it is the same for each vehicles and it is the best that I know and also the one that I recommend every time I am asked. ... ... So thank you very much Broughy 👍 a big work. Respect 😑
@@novawolf_gamingfrom my point of view, recognizing the quality of the tests here is not a rejection of what is done elsewhere, but I don't know if that's what you meant 🙂. people have to look at different things and form your opinion. Also it is obvious that there are a number of different races and maps and that we cannot apply the results obtained here for everything. moreover each racer having its own driving style and therefore affinities with certain vehicles. despite all these details, I prefer to recommend the Broughy tests as a first step.
@1tyler12 I just mean that some people are not very... detailed in how they test Broughy knows the ins and outs of the game. Most other people either base it on a 1/4 mile dray strip, use Placebo as an excuse, or just stick a speedometer on screen and base it on that (although I guess that's more for PC) Broughy bases it on more detailed testing, that focuses on every tiny detail of the car
@@novawolf_gaming ok I understand better. yes it's true and there are so many different ways to obtain a different speed with the same vehicle that we cannot rely on a single example to deduce a generality (like some people do with a speedometer) Nota bene: sorry for the approximate interpretation I do not master all the subtleties of written and spoken English 😁
Many thanks for your efforts! The work was worth it and the result is impressive. The new design is also very professional and I really like it! Keep up the good work!
I got the Itali GTO from the free casino spin a few years ago and came here to see how good it was. Was genuinely surprised to see it as the best non-HSW sports car.. that's insane
Ever since it came out ive used the La Coureuse almost exclusively. HSW upgrade for amazong top speed, imani tech to prevent griefers, and handles amazing. I beat all the HSW time trails with this thing
I was waiting for this 🎉 thanks for the effort mate really appreciate these! Saw the OG fastest car video back in the day how the time flys Hope you doing good 👍
Quite shocking to see how the OG & lower tier rally cars have changed in their positions. On one hand I knew the regular Comet has the potential that Broughy didn't originally extract, yet on the contrary I'm not pleased that the Comet Safari & Tropos gained more than the other rally cars.
The HSW stuff just seems unfun. Am on PC, so no worries personally, but if they ever come to us in the future, oh boy they'll be off in every race I partake.
It Is a coincidence that the sentinel classic and the comet s2 are both right next to each other and their widebody versions are also right next to each other
Leave it to Rockstar to make a "high performance" or just generally newer version of a launch car and have it be slower than the original version. I wish the Futo GTX could at least have matched the original for top speed, given its engine power in the game files is massively higher. They did the game thing with the Ruiner ZZ8 and the Dominator GTX.
Broughy, I think you might have made a mistake with the Panthere's top speed. I tested it using your methodology (just seeing the difference between regular level 4 EMS and modded level 5), and I got 130.5 as the top speed for the normal. Even in your clip, the speed would come out to 130.5 (granted I know it's probably not the exact average). Considering the overall pace of it, it's a bit of a moot point, but I thought it might be worth pointing out! Can't wait for the Off-Road video!
The time between the two checkpoints in the clip is 5.873s. The average from all my runs was 5.877s. That means 5.877s to cover 0.2 miles, which is 0.034 (0.2/5.877) miles per second. Multiply that by 60 to get miles per minute, and by 60 again to get miles per hour. That gives 122.5 mph. Not sure where you get 130.5 from, but since you're saying my footage also gives you that result it suggest you might have some math error in there somewhere.
@@broughy1322 Realized my mistake; my editing software wasn't set to the correct time format, which meant I was using ~5.5 seconds instead of the actually correct time. My bad! Thanks for the hard work, Brough!
All the hotring cars are in this video (and very close together as well) so there won’t be a separate video for that. The quickest tuners are in this video too but there will be a separate video containing them all, including those from other classes.
21:58 Disgrace you can't get some cars any more - especially the #JesterRacecar, which was actually always better for driving/racing than the Elegy, which has quite a lot of oversteer and doesn't jump/fly as well.
Hey bit late, I noticed on your website for the sport car category, should I refer to the tier list or should rely on the lap times of these cars. I’m currently making a garage on the top 10 cars for racing in each category. I also noticed that the website for the lap times hasn’t updated unless I missed something
The website will be updated soon (probably tomorrow, it’s always a week after the video). The tiers generally trump the lap times since they take into account top speed outliers too, though most of the time the tiers are in line with the lap times anyway. Take the top cars from this video and you’ll be sorted (though if you’re planning to do organised racing it’s good to have one car from each tier)
@@broughy1322 I have one more question , I am on PC does your tier lists translate over to PC/Old Gen ?? I’m curious because all your testing is done in next generation consoles
Yes, though I would say most cars in any chosen tier would generally stick together whether stock or upgraded. The big outliers are usually the cars with too much or too little engine power, which gets a multiplicative improvement from Engine Tunes (a Pariah gets so much faster as opposed to an Issi Sport).
@@conorjohn490 the stock engine power is not what causes the Pariah to become a monster. The stock Issi Sport isn't even particular far behind it. The thing is that cars get different multipliers for their upgrades, and the Pariah's are ridiculous
@@broughy1322 Sorry, niche reference. When I heard the statement followed by altogether, my first thought was Airplane! “It’s an entirely different kind of flying all together!” “It’s an entirely different kind of flying.”
Suggestion I would have shown the position for top speed respective to the rest of the sports class rather than the sports classics for the sterling GT in this video.
Thanks, putting this video took ages, with all the testing, the editing, the data entry for 109 cars and their lap times and top speeds. The scale is staggering.
Not about to drop half a grand on a console and another 60 on a ten year old game to shave 3 seconds off my lap time... unless of course the next game releases. 😅

It's honestly a bit ridiculous that exactly how fast cars have gotten for top speed in the city with off-road tires for some reason I've been seeing on the top speed challenges the speeds are registering at 300 mph
they changed how the top speed challenge works (either intentionally or unintentionally but I'd go with intentionally). It seems to be showing 2 or 3x the actual speed
The problem is Forza's tiers use automatically calculated performance and I doubt Rockstar would be willing to put the time in to implement such a system. If they were to do pace-based classes they'd go for a manual tier rating system like NFS Carbon or Undercover and they'd probably make as much sense and be as well-balanced as the tiers in those games
@@DiNmiTeso it’s still getting the same lap time with a worse top speed? That’s interesting bc I remember the engine stats on the Gtx were much bigger than the og Futo

I have a question. What's different with track wheels against other, non-offroad type wheels like High-End, or Sports, or Street? I feel like they're a bit slippery than those aforementioned wheel types, but I don't exactly know what it is, is it traction or grip or perhaps they're simply placebo, I don't know. Please do enlightened this confused soul. Thanks.
Does the Imani tech and armor plating make the stinger tt go slower? Me and a friend did the rescue ulp mission and he had the convertible vegiro zx hsw and I had the tt. He got there before I did.
+ apart from what broughy said, HSW tends to be a bit inconsistent inside missions, or when u deliver cargo with one. seems to be quite random at times
Almost every car improved, most substantially so (0.7-1s was the norm). That suggests it's more physics updates and changes between when I originally tested and testing now on the new gen versions of the game. Notably cars that like bumps improved more.
So, this list isn't completely compatible with Xbox One and PS4 version of the game right? Lap times have improved for almost all the cars on current gen but not evenly across the board?
The lap time improvements aren't to do with the testing being done on the Gen9 version, moreso just general better driving and subtle physics changes across all versions with updates
@@Johnny362000 Yeah no it doesn’t have anything to do with Gen9 but it does have something to do with the next gen version of the game right? It runs on 60 fps now and they’ve fixed the whole framerate thing making cars faster.
@@evinco6954 Gen9 _is_ next-gen (more "current gen" at this point). The PS5/Xbox Series version is referred to internally as Gen9. The fact that they fixed the framerate thing is exactly why the fact it's on Gen 9 isn't important. The Gen9 version whether it's at 30 or 60 behaves like the Gen8/PC version at 30. Sure, the Gen8 consoles don't always _reach_ 30 (especially basic 2013 Xbox Ones, they struggle for 20) but the differences at that level are basically negligible
@@Johnny362000 Interesting🤔 You’re saying I could take a D10 on old gen and get the exact same lap time and top speed as on current gen even with the framerate difference? Btw I understood what you meant by Gen9 in the first comment😅
@@evinco6954 yes. Assuming you were as skilled a driver as Brough you could replicate his laps, or at least get within a few tenths, and for top speed you don't even need his skill
It can do some funky things with shunting to take tight corners quickly without having to slow down as much. Very corner and track dependent and you obviously lose the top speed from the nitrous. Considering you can fly with the shunt boost and the arena cars aren't raceable anyway, I decided to discount it from the testing.

Appreciate the work you put in this one
Wow, huge video, insane effort you're putting into this!
I appreciate you're work and methodical approach. Nice !
great video as always! your dedication to entertaining and informing the gta community is unmatched!
Thank you Broughy
Huge W Broughy! Damn autocorrect
Happy Birthday Broughy
Ever since it came out ive used the La Coureuse almost exclusively. HSW upgrade for amazong top speed, imani tech to prevent griefers, and handles amazing. I beat all the HSW time trails with this thing
When R* introduced HSW , I was jelous , but now I'm thankful it isn't on PC
Thank you for all your effort.
great job man!

Broughy is a living legend
I was waiting for this 🎉 thanks for the effort mate really appreciate these! Saw the OG fastest car video back in the day how the time flys Hope you doing good 👍
Quite shocking to see how the OG & lower tier rally cars have changed in their positions. On one hand I knew the regular Comet has the potential that Broughy didn't originally extract, yet on the contrary I'm not pleased that the Comet Safari & Tropos gained more than the other rally cars.
I wanna see a Blista Compact vs HSW La Coureuse car v car race now😉
could you add a sort by option on your website that would sort cars based on their handling using what's explained at 24:05 ?
Honestly, i used to dislike the GTO and how dominant it was. Now it feels like a heroic last bastion of the pre-hsw era.

Thank you.
The HSW stuff just seems unfun. Am on PC, so no worries personally, but if they ever come to us in the future, oh boy they'll be off in every race I partake.
Thank you
why has the Comet dropped almost 2 seconds regarding to gta cars info?
Nice job Broughy!

@@DiNmiTe thanks!
"modded level 5" suggests you're testing on PC, he's testing on PS5 where FPS does not affect performance
@@DiNmiTe Negative, I was testing on PS5 as well. Just merged a Panthere with an HSW car to get it.
My bad! Thanks for the hard work, Brough!
error at 30:24 with the blista compact labeled as "102nd in Supers" instead of "Sports"
I'm surprised the Tropos is faster than the Comet Safari.

For a Test Ride videos, I like to see Tuner vehicles and Hotring vehicles Test videos to see which one is better for those Races. 🚘🏁
All the hotring cars are in this video (and very close together as well) so there won’t be a separate video for that. The quickest tuners are in this video too but there will be a separate video containing them all, including those from other classes.
Thank you

@@broughy1322 oh ok thank you for the clarification and the advice. Great video btw 😊😊👍👍
@@broughy1322 I have one more question , I am on PC does your tier lists translate over to PC/Old Gen ?? I’m curious because all your testing is done in next generation consoles
@@amei_G80_BmwM3 yes, just ignore HSW cars and the tiers are still accurate
@@DiNmiTe oh ok just making sure
Is there a big difference in ranking between upgraded and vanilla cars?
for the most part no, there are some cars that gain more from performance upgrades than others, i.e. the Pariah

Waiting for the free pizza 🍕
Would it be best for R* to do away with vehicle classes in GTA 6 and adopt vehicle tiers from the Forza series?
The problem is Forza's tiers use automatically calculated performance and I doubt Rockstar would be willing to put the time in to implement such a system. If they were to do pace-based classes they'd go for a manual tier rating system like NFS Carbon or Undercover and they'd probably make as much sense and be as well-balanced as the tiers in those games
@broughy1322 Didn’t the Futo GTX have a top speed of 119.75 mph from your tuners testing video? Also referenced it with the GTA cars site
This is the updated top speed
@@DiNmiTeso it’s still getting the same lap time with a worse top speed? That’s interesting bc I remember the engine stats on the Gtx were much bigger than the og Futo
I noticed my Veto Classic is also suddenly slower than the Modern for top speed. Now my go-kart is useless… HAS SCIENCE GONE TOO FAR?
@@asideaccount393 I remember he quicky tested it on stream and noticed the GTX's top speed has changed from the last time he tested it, must've been from the time Rockstar kept pissing about with the Tuners

Thanks.
does the type of tire like the class affect the speed of the cars? if so what would be the best class of tire?
No. More info here: ua-cam.com/video/5I-vYo1GUpc/v-deo.html
Does the Imani tech and armor plating make the stinger tt go slower? Me and a friend did the rescue ulp mission and he had the convertible vegiro zx hsw and I had the tt. He got there before I did.
No it doesn't. Make sure you've got all upgrades applied (including the extra HSW levels of turbo, engine, etc)
+ apart from what broughy said, HSW tends to be a bit inconsistent inside missions, or when u deliver cargo with one. seems to be quite random at times
How did you manage to improve the Comet's laptime by around 1.4 seconds? And the 9F's by a full second? The Jester Racecar was also insane.
Almost every car improved, most substantially so (0.7-1s was the norm). That suggests it's more physics updates and changes between when I originally tested and testing now on the new gen versions of the game. Notably cars that like bumps improved more.
@@broughy1322 The poor Surano and Schlagen GT got shafted in this one.
The ugliest cars get s tier, rockstar needs make better looking cars fasters
When will your website be updated with the new stats?
Always 1 week after each video
Drop a thumbs up people show some appreciation 👍

What's up with the shunt boost on the Zr380?
It can do some funky things with shunting to take tight corners quickly without having to slow down as much. Very corner and track dependent and you obviously lose the top speed from the nitrous. Considering you can fly with the shunt boost and the arena cars aren't raceable anyway, I decided to discount it from the testing.
Some guy got a 56.4 with shunt boosting Zr380 on this track. But he only got 1 clean lap out of 100
