the toros, novak and rebla are just replicating the current trend of high end car manufacturers producing SUV's like the lamborghini urus or the aston martin DBX
The Novak is super underrated, even if it's not the fastest car in the game it's a lot of fun to drive. The Toros might be faster, but it drives like your average GTA V sports car. I feel like a lot of people miss that, instead focusing on either what's the fastest, or the fastest they can afford, and never really on how fun the car is to actually drive around the map. You're not gonna be winning any races in a Kalahari but that's never leaving my garage.
@@jayybizz_ Races don't have to be fast v slow. I think races with different class vehicles with similar lap times would be interesting to watch considering both vehicles handle much different from each other.
@@jayybizz_ He has done comparisons between the Vagner vs Vigilante for example, both were undeniably fast at the time of the video. It can definitely happen.
For those people saying "He wouldn't do this" Broughy did a muscles race which included a slightly downgraded Bullet as well, where everything was roughly the same pace. Of course the bullet is slow in it's class, but it doesn't feel like a classic "fast vs slow" race, like Voltic V Vagner. Personally, I think it would be a spectacle, the Toros and TurnismoC. Old supercars versus modern S(uper)UVs sounds great.
I remember nostalgic times when i was mostly using Granger and Huntley S for SUV's races. :D Until those 4 haven't been in the game yet. Contenter, Rebla GTS, Novak and Toros. But yeah there also great suv's that are enjoyable for races, freeroad and etc. :)
@@HenryThe12 What i mean is this game is now what?...7 or 8 years old and he still has enthusiasm for it...testing, racing, lol just logging on is incredible to me...while i still believe it is one of the greatest games of all times IMO they dropped the ball in so many ways and never opened up its REAL potential...while the original heists were awesome the rest of the game felt unfulfilling...like a twinkie with no filling...they would come up with good ideas and do just enough but never push the boundaries to be great...yes they gave the community alot of what we requested but never what we wanted... how we wanted
I think what Chair is trying to say is; Lambo, don't really make competitive cars like they use to. It's now all for looks and fashion compare to other Super/Hypercar brands.
I agree at least for the Toros, that it still feels like an SUV rather than a Sports car, like Broughy described the top few cars as. Although I've only raced the Granger, Contender and Toros. So I can't speak for the other cars. Toros has speed but lacks in braking and handling compared with most Sports cars. SUV races are chaotic, but that's more due to people not realising how quick they are going and how bad the brakes are.
On tracks like winwang park, the issi sport is faster than Italy gto. Because u never get to top speed. Also something, my experience says the issi sport has the same acceleration than Italy gto, but is way better at cornering. So the issi sport actually does have potential:)

Making the track longer to be a better average means more time for small mistakes, which means less optimal laptimes.

To be fair, these is the new reality of SUVs in real life. The fact that Lamborghini (although technically they had made an SUV in the past), Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Rolls Royce entered the SUV market has completly revolutionized what an SUV is. An Alfa Romeo SUV handles better than most sport cars, no joke, as it uses Ferrari steering technology (although downgraded, since Ferrari doesn’t quite give Alfo Romeo the same steering technology it has on it’s own cars). The lamborghini URUS and Rolls Royce SUVs I have also heard very good things of.
For the Toros it would be interesting what lap times it could achieve without the transmission upgrades. I mean risking to accidentally shift up in 9th gear on a long straight forcing you to stop and reverse would break any advantage you get from the overall power and speed of this car ... or is the 9th gear bug fixed??

Just realized... They're testing all these different attributes to racing on every DLC. Fast or slow... They're planning on focusing on street racing stuff for the GTA 6 I bet.

@@iSkully99 Your original point was that if a car is fast irl, it should be fast in GTA. You're forgetting that this is R*, and they do whatever the hell they want with handling files. Look at the GP1 and Penetrator. In real life, the McLaren F1 (which is what the GP1 is based on) is better than the Jaguar XJ220 (which is what the Penetrator is based on) in basically every single way: top speed, cornering, weight, etc. But in GTA, the Penetrator has a better laptime AND a better top speed.

I think you need to do some tests (only in sports and supers) in acrobatic races tracks, because the acrobatic races are so popular and so different to the city races. This is just an idea Btw: He says baller 19 times
i wish rockstar would rework the vehicle classes to make them more balanced and fix some cars that look like they belong in another class and maybe add more classes for the cars and bikes in the game. it would improve the races by a lot... sadly rockstar rarely reworks anything in the game and this looks like the kind of thing they would never do.

So basically R* made something accurate once, and we don't like that either? **: as far as I know SUV is the fastest growing class in terms of demand. @@Inferiis Exactly this. No should be upset. TBH, more like a mid-1:02 would be closer to a sim-type laptime. In IRL, the Urus is an insane brute. Monster power, monster brakes, and massive tires. Coupled with a good AWD system, its a recipe for being very fast around a track.

I mean all the tracks we use regularly and feature in the content creator streams can race SUVs like any other class. It's just Rockstar that lock their tracks to other cars.
I don't think that was a thing ever. There was always a no1, only the differences change. f.e.: Before the GTO, the Pariah was godlike, but before that, the Elegy was the best, since release (although not in every situation, which was cool)
Probably wrong, but looks like a Candy Red with a Torino Red pearlescent. I will note that I'm not a GTA colour expert in the slightest and I can't be bothered to launch GTA to check.
The Dubsta 2 is a very rare street spawn, if I'm not mistaken. And as Broughy says, performance-wise the original/buyable Dubsta is faster because the wheel on the back isn't standard like on the Dubsta 2. EDIT: someone claimed it doesn't spawn anymore, but you can still get one on duffel bag missions from your bunker. Not sure why you'd get one, but you could.
6:00 "The XLS is the only car in the game where the armored version is quicker" Me: But wasn't the Paragon R armored faster? Apparently can't be used in races and wasn't ever posted after it's mention in the original casino cars video. I assume we're getting that in the 2020 sports class video, right?

in my opinion the Rebla is the only car in GTA that feels exactly like the car in real life wich is the BMW X5M. i dont know how to call it, it has that solid feel to it, it feels heavy on the corners but still pretty quick with good acceleration of the line (for an SUV). one off my favourite cars to drive around in free mode
@@galaxspace1 I mean, if I were to send a Maserati SUV against a Tesla Roadster with Lotus Elise shell around a track, I'd still expect the Tesla to be faster.
Well it was only like that because it was broken. I know it's broken because R* actually bothered to fix it. And because it's not faster anymore (and was never intended to be faster in the first place), it doesn't count.
Until GTA adds an upgrading system and PI class system to the cars like other games with cars (Forza, NFS, The Crew, etc.) their races just aren't fun anymore in my opinion with this 'pay to win mentality'.

The toros is a beast. I think is faster than some sport or even hyper cars.

I have never raced SUVs, I wish I could, I even made a race for it. Are there even SUV races out?

I mean all the tracks we use regularly and feature in the content creator streams can race SUVs like any other class. It's just Rockstar that lock their tracks to other cars.
Hosted a SUV race with randoms yesterday, had a bouncy few laps but it was fun
Cockstar unfortunately doesn't care much for the lesser classes. It is more up to the c0mmunity.

I don't think that was a thing ever. There was always a no1, only the differences change. f.e.: Before the GTO, the Pariah was godlike, but before that, the Elegy was the best, since release (although not in every situation, which was cool)

Probably wrong, but looks like a Candy Red with a Torino Red pearlescent.
I will note that I'm not a GTA colour expert in the slightest and I can't be bothered to launch GTA to check.

Do tuner wheels do the exact same thing as off-road wheels in terms of handling bumps? Or is one better than the other?
Off-road wheels have the biggest sidewall, so those are the best choice on cars with that "TyresCanClip" flag.

What’s the difference between dubsta and dubsta 2? Is one street and one SSSA? I thought there was only 1 normal dubsta
The Dubsta 2 is a very rare street spawn, if I'm not mistaken.
And as Broughy says, performance-wise the original/buyable Dubsta is faster because the wheel on the back isn't standard like on the Dubsta 2.
EDIT: someone claimed it doesn't spawn anymore, but you can still get one on duffel bag missions from your bunker. Not sure why you'd get one, but you could.

in my opinion the Rebla is the only car in GTA that feels exactly like the car in real life wich is the BMW X5M. i dont know how to call it, it has that solid feel to it, it feels heavy on the corners but still pretty quick with good acceleration of the line (for an SUV). one off my favourite cars to drive around in free mode

Well it was only like that because it was broken. I know it's broken because R* actually bothered to fix it.
And because it's not faster anymore (and was never intended to be faster in the first place), it doesn't count.

Until GTA adds an upgrading system and PI class system to the cars like other games with cars (Forza, NFS, The Crew, etc.) their races just aren't fun anymore in my opinion with this 'pay to win mentality'.
I think the toros is ugly and the Novak is awkwardly shaped for an SUV it’s really small looking to me so the rebla is my choice of car
