Fun fact about Star Wars on PS1: In Official PlayStation Magazine, it was reviewed and given 9/10. One month later, after hundreds of complaints saying the game was awful (which it is), they had to print an official apology. In the apology, they'd realised the reviewer hadn't reviewed it objectively, and only scored it high because it was Star Wars. He was fired because of it.
Most games just pay off reviewers anyway, not a shocker.

The runner for Virtual Hydlide deserves credit for being able to control the game since I couldn't for the life of me even figure out what was going on

the awful block needs to have a special design, to make the stream not only have awful games, but have an awful boarder to surround the awful games.

Yes, the normal gdq might have moments like tomatoangus(g is silent) running the fallout games, but the best times are when everybody is making jokes and screaming during the run
Imagine you see the mario 64 skips for a decade and then you're shown this nonsense you've never seen before, instantly captivating
Runs of actually good games are taken more seriously, so the audience is usually respectful of that and tends to be more reserved. But when the game is already shitty to begin with, nobody cares, so everyone can just have fun with it.

I remembered buying that dragon's lair game at a used good store. I thought it was the OTHER dragon's lair game for game boy color that was a surprisingly faithful recreation of the original dragon's lair. It was almost a shot for shot remake of it in fact, just with GBC graphics. I got tricked about a month later again when I saw the store had Quest for gameboy for sale. I thought it was the remake of the 64 game, but it was just a reskin of some puzzle game. It was infuriating.
Man I hope they don't actually get in trouble for saying "that's never happened before", because it's always hilarious.

Honestly, I don't understand why Mohawk is in the awful games block. It looks like an incredibly technical game and I don't see any glaring faults with it. I'd like to see more runners ditch 10 hour long RNG runs and pick something like this up.
Also Phantom Menace might objectively qualify as an awful game but I have fond memories of it as a kid. :p
The main problem with Mohawk is that the game is a fun speed game, but the regular game is unfair, confusing, and very, very nauseating.
I can't believe Virtual Hydlide was shipped, that is the most nauseating thing I've seen in my life.
It's a shame that 3rd game is so bad, it looks really cool.
