Nine years later and this is still one of the best shows GDQ has ever put on.
I've watched this 15 times now and I still comeback to watch this. It's just so fun and good.
This run is so good. It feels less like a speedrun, and more like a bunch of friends just hanging out together and having fun.

PJ seriously embodies the best of GDQ history.
I know that GDQ has had ups and downs over the years, but the day PJ leaves is the day it truly dies imo.

At 4:35, PJ mentions that the game made the mistake of giving him his best weapon. While it wasn't kept COMPETELY out of his hands, the game definitely listened.
This is such a vibe. They all sound like fun, chill and genuine people who I would love to hang out with.

This run is so damn entertaining. I've watched it several times now and it never gets old.
Another amazing run by PJ: truly one of the most entertaining runners in GDQ history. He even conquered the first level on the bad SNES-deck. Incidentally it's partially Capcom's fault for not initializing their own variables and instead loading in a block of RAM that they thought would be zero. I found that out the hard way during a recent project with x86 Assembly. More runs should be like this: fun-all-the-way!!
To this day, this is still my favorite speedrun of all time! When I feel bored, stressed out or overall not that great, this SGDQ14 speedrun lifts me up! Thank you PJ!!!

You know its a unique and funny speed run when the runner stops to laugh for 10sec and not care about the run and only about the hilarious situation.

Also when playing on the switch version I got a sickle on stage one, first loop which was bizarre because I've played this game for years and never noticed it there. I seriously have 30 years of XP in this game.

I'm commenting from the year 2023, where I just recently learned that PJ is also pretty much the world's *only* speedrunner of the game Mohawk and Headphone Jack, perhaps for good reason...
Surprisingly enough -- I played this on the Switch and the Gold Armor's power from the Scythe has overall the best coverage because of the Twin Tornadoes. Plus -- If you're lucky on the Hydra boss, it can one-cycle kill it IF all 3 heads are together.
I've honestly played this game so much I should speedrun it. FYI, the tri blade as bad as a rep as it gets happens to be very useful against aramer and wreck Astaroth and Nebiroth. The Axe is still poo poo. The sickle believe it or not is a pretty top tier weapon with gold armor. It's easily spammable and can make the hard sections really easy. I personally think the cross bow is my favorite. Yeah, it does suck sometimes but it's usually my go to weapon.

I like playing the game but I hate this game on the switch because I don’t get armor just weapons that’s why but It’s cool and congrats to the guy he had a great run but the armor sucks on the switch version I didn’t know that you can get armor back until I looked at this run

What's so funny?
Y'know how PJ is challenging himself to pick up every single weapon that drops? His least favorite weapon is the crossbow and his second least, the scythe.
In this level, he's constantly been RNG'd into getting NOTHING but the scythe and crossbow even though there's eight weapons in total and there was a chance for him to get anything else. The laughter was at his bad luck
