      Iceman Bro Olaplex is patented so it’s probably not exactly the same thing

    • @empressah888
      @empressah888 4 роки тому +1

      Iceman Bro there’s now lots of rip offs, and so I’ve been looking into how they all compare. L’Oréal and Matrix seem to have the next best options, and cheaper ones are expectedly not great. But the main difference is they all can just protect from further and future damage with use. With the very best next options maybe being able to help very slightly. Still up to today, Olaplex is the only product we can buy at home that actually heals the already damaged hair. So we just have to pay the prices. Right now in the U.K., you can buy (a apparently just limited edition) much bigger bottle of Olaplex that gives you 20% off its cost.

    Something I've learnt through trial and error as I bleach my hair at home to platinum but it is short, retouch roots 3 weekly. I use the Olaplex 3 directly after I have washed the bleach and developer off. I have used in between but didnt get a better result than a mask. My theory is that after the bleaching the cuticle is open and the Olaplex gets in. Maybe wrong but it makes a massive difference. From straw to soft.. also mask and conditioner. No breakage which is amazing.

    I am 45 and have been highlighting my hair since the age of 20. It used to be fur fun and now it is to cover grey. My hair is so dry, thin, and flyaway. My stylist, who has been the only one to color my hair in all these years; used oraplex 2 part treatment yesterday on my hair. I notice a difference already and your video helped me to decide if I should invest in this product, thank you !!

    I don't know where you purchase your olaplex #3 but you should try to get your hands on #2 since #3 is just a diluted version of #2. So if you used #2 you might not have to use as much and #2 comes in a huge bottle. I'm a licensed stylist so I get it from the supply store. Sleeping on a silk pillowcase and with your hair in a silk cap/bonnet also helps alot with breakage. If you try one out for 6 months, you'll see a difference, especially in the baby hair's on the sides of your head & nape of your neck. Hope this helps!!💛💜💚❤💙

      Costco, Amazon, etc are not authorized dealers. What you buy at Cosco is watered down so you're paying for WATER which you can get from your own faucet if you'd like to add it to legitimate Olaplex product from an authorized seller. Read reviews, question and answers on Amazon. Excellent advice. Just watch out for fake reviews which you can spot easily because of very poor grammer. Also, when reading reviews on any product choose 'Most Recent' which gives you what Amazon purchasers are currently receiving which can help you weed out currently inferior products, misrepresentations, and fakes as well.

    Which Olaplex do they mix with hair bleach? I saw Brad Mondo doing a test bleaching two identical hair extensions, one with Olaplex and other without. Not only the hair condition in the end of the process was the same but the one mixed with Olaplex did not bleach as much as the other hair without it, leaving a slightly yellow tone to the hair. I don’t bleach my hair but this test made me think how good this product really is. Maybe it depends on how damaged your hair is.

    I have to pay $49.99 in Australia for a single bottle of No.3. I have dark healthy hair right now but have plans to go lighter and I am prepping for the potential damage. I bought an olaplex bundle of No.3, 4, 5 and 6 for $159.99 but before I do lighten my hair I would like to get olaplex No.1 for the lightening process just so I can’t limit the damage as much as possible. It does seem overpriced but I haven’t tried it yet to see if it’s worth the money. I have gone blonde a couple times and I never had anything to protect my hair or repair the damage. While the blonde looked good when styled, leaving it natural looked and felt horrible. I ended up having my hair dyed back to my natural colour and I chopped a lot of fried ends off. Ever since, it has been a struggle to grow my hair past my collar bone as I have had to keep up with regular trims to get my hair back to being healthy and strong. I hope this time the lightening process will be successful in not only looking good but feeling good.

    I had been home dying my hair for yers, with all the damage that causes. But recently stopped and went to a saloon and paid 200$ to get it fixed and sorry not sorry I am not gonna be spending 200$ every couple of month or so without using the best products at home even if it is expensive. And Olaplex cost like double in my country. But I got and I felt a huge difference from first use, everytime I had a shower I felt so nervouse because of the fallout and breakage. Now its down to nearly none, just a couple of strands as before it was dozens and dozens, And I could feel like cartoonish ching as the hairs were breaking.

    yes you will plateau but that's ok - like you said it still protects your hair and it's good you are doing it regularly. I bet if you stopped on extensions, blow dryers and straightening and bleaching, you could grow out some gorgeous hair on your own:) You are young and you should preserve your hair and scalp - otherwise (every friend I know that has done extension had bare and bald spots all over their head and they can't go without covering them up now with more damaging extension) all that damage is going to create long term effects. I don't understand all these younger women doing extensions when they are healthy and can easily grow out gorgeous hair. Trust me I've been modeling for 25 years and now a lot about the hair and make-up business.

      AngeLEyes8100 Its main target is broken bonds. It restructures the hair from within and makes it stronger. This may probably prevent split ends down the line. I destroyed my hair a year ago and just bought 0, 3, 6, and 7 and I’m in love with them all I’m baffled that my ends aren’t a frizzed to crisps after day 1 washing (I also get micro trims) but still it’s been a complete transformation so far and less breakage, I will finally be able to grow it out again!

    I recently bought Olaplex no.3, after a big fail at a hair salon, my hair was already weak and the lady at the salon completely finished ruining my hair, I came home and my hair was literally breaking off 😭, so I'm on the hunt now to fix my broken, gummy hair, ive done 2 overnight treatments I do see some differences in my hair..my first treatment I did feel like my hair felt stronger and not as weak. How long after did you start really seeing a difference in your hair?

    • @heidiguttenberg
      @heidiguttenberg  5 років тому

      Adriana Aroche Hi Adriana! I’m so sorry 😐 I think your hair is even in a worse condition than mine was. If I were you I would get a travel kit with Olaplex 1 and 2 bottles directly or get a stand alone treatment done once a week. If there was already too much breakage, you may need a bit of a trim every once in a while and get a tangle teezer or don’t detangle your hair wet. Search my channel for videos on all the above. That’s what I would do. Hope it helps. Let me know how it goes.

    Si el olaplex paso 3 te funcionó te aseguro que si lo remplazas por los pasos 1 y 2, 1 vez todos los meses notarás aún más cambios y mejoras en tu cabello y te durará mucho más que solo el paso 3 que es muy pequeño. A mí me quemaron el cabello con decoloración y con 4 sesiones de olaplex stand alone se recuperó y quedó mejor que antes 👍

    I have very (waist length) long hair.. but it's virgin... no color or chemical treatments at all. I do however use heat. It's curly so I blow dry and flat iron it. Would Olaplex do anything to keep my hair healthy and strong? Or is it strictly for chemically treated hair? I'll do anything to keep my hair in good shape but I dont want to waste the money if it's a pointless endeavor. I've tried researching this but I only come up with olaplex on color treated or African hair... which is of no help to me.
    What do you think?

    • @heidiguttenberg
      @heidiguttenberg  4 роки тому

      I think it’s worth my money because my hair is bleached and processed asides from heat damage. But from what I’ve heard and read it’s good on virgin hair too. I can’t assure you that 100% because it’s not my case. But you should try it! And let me know if you do. Hope this helped Mike!

Careful with your words, people can do whatever they want and you should try not to judge so harshly. I think 3 months is crazy but you wouldn't see me writing that to a stranger or telling someone that in person. Also with my professional job, it is not appropriate or acceptable to have my hair so unkept looking. I work a professional job and I get a budget for these things. 3 months, wow I'd be fired for whatever they come up with to get me out of there. Not everyone can look like that in their lives day to day.
