The dream visions that are seen are not literal depictions. They simply show what is necessary to understand what one seeks to know. Just like when Geralt goes to the oniromancer to dream about Ciri, he sees a vision of Dandelion about to blow something up with a swallow flying around in his face. Obviously there was no bird, it symbolizes Ciri, but Ciri wasn’t even there. It just establishes a connection between her and Dandelion and he realizes she contacted Dandelion. That’s all the dreams are for. Making true connections with the right depiction, not necessarily the most literal one, to get it across. They wanted to show the king dying and that Eredin poisoned him. The vision shows the king dying from ingesting something with Eredin being suspicious. That did happen. The context was different though. Avallac’h simply needed to prove Eredin did it, Ciri being there was extraneous. Yes Eredin seems genuinely shocked with news of the king’s death but we see in the vision that he poisoned the king.
About elves leaving in small groups well the main reason would be arrogance not to mention only Eredin, late king and Avallac'h were seen doing something about white frost. Avallac'h I believe that he was playing the long game not years but whole generations. Ciri had training, luck and people and if we count game fate but generation after her not so much and in the end most political oponents dead and if he gained power of elder blood he coud go straight for a king position. Last thing was his pride that Lara chose human over him made him bitter and obsesed to have last word so to speak. But hey its just my opinion.
Avallach only serves one person and that person is Avallach
True that, don't know how I feel about it.. but it makes the story interesting for sure 😁
