man, the swtich at nine minutes to the end if my favorite part. I also found I got more into this song when I watched it with the video...had way more meaning. The Sabbath style intro is killer.
They still clutch AF at 60 years old!! I prefer that ending more than the bilk of the rest of the song! The bass solo bit is good though, adds chills when the harmonies kick in, they end double kick should have come in right as the harmonies bit after the bass solo bit as the tempo built up, it should have just gone into the end double kick bit not back to the dull chorus bit that is boring. That said, this is still my favourite song on this album.
It didn't start too promising this rather meandered along then we get a proper solo in the middle like you Tre I was waiting for it like the way they went into the melodic vocals in the middle with that bass then that powerful riff very like Maiden when they have a good riff they smash you with it over and over again Then another killer solo at the end good to hear Lars putting some solid work in too
Such a weird main riff for them. It’s just off enough that your ear kinda has to adapt rather than just be comfortable in the groove. Such strange chord changes! It’s like Metallica and Radiohead had a baby.
